Did I hear you correctly by saying one could check the level with a dip stick?? All the DIY videos showing how to change the trans fluid never mentioned anything as to how to check the fluid... Thats done a dealer shop!!! You didnt show how much fluid you extracted, and how much to put back in??? After watching this, I have more questions!!!
Yes you can check the transmission oil using your engine dipstick, refer to the diagram for cold/hot levels. The amount of used oil extracted should be replaced by the same amount of new oil.
Should be doing the filter also and checking pan for debris.
Pan dropped and cleaned, new filter installed + 5 quarts of new oil. Level checked using the diagram.
