      I agree. And I've been playing both electric and acoustic for a while and have seen NUMEROUS RUclips channels. This is the best one to learn all techniques on electric guitar along with a little bit of theory. Watch Chris Zoupa if you want to learn solos. These both are best especially pertaining to metal genre.

    Essential choosing to briefly descend the partial arpeggio with downward pickslanting instead of the usual upward pickslanting enabling the escape.

    Hello Bernth, a little question here. Have you ever tried the yngwie's approach to that issue with three strings sweep pickng? Excellent video as always

  • @guillaumeboivin1199
    @guillaumeboivin1199 4 года назад

    Thanks for the advice, crystal clear as always.
    The locked wrist right hand sweeping motion is good for consistency but can be problematic for string skipping in my opinion. Because one important tool to skip a string is by angling the pick (or pickslanting it) in a way that makes it easier to escape the string that we are trying to skip. I think a mix of the two can be beneficial.
    I analyzed, based on your approach, how I am doing sweeping and I don't arch as extreme as you show but I'm definitely arching a bit when I change direction. I need to skip a string because I pulled off a note to be "quicker" on the transition.

    • @5kr3aminMunk33

      String mute with both hands, use your left to deaden high notes (play with flatter fingers) and use your right to muffle/palm mute the low notes or to stop the one's you've already played. Left hand is like pre-note muting whereas right is post-note muting, essentially.

    • @Paraluna
      @Paraluna 4 года назад

      @@5kr3aminMunk33 Thanks, I looked deeper into the problem yesterday. When going fast, I ease the pressure on my picking hand to slide over the strings well. That results in an after picking muting failure on the B-string because my palm is not fleshy enough at the pinky's root. Angling the picking hand more upwards will fix that but it feels a bit uncomfortable as I have long arms and play stranded only. I will work on finding or getting used to a more suitable hand position requiring less muting palm pressure from the beginning.
