Should be a glazing pro halfway into this project... a carpenters chisel and a scrap wood mallet turned out to be the best tools for removing the 60 year old glazing.
I was going to ask why not pull the window and seal the opening, but the reveal at the end says it all. 😂 Have fun glazing, it's not a hard job just more tedious with amazing results in the end
I have used a oscillating tool with a scraper blade and GENTLY edged the glazing and peeled the rest. Don't go past a 1/4in deep or you risk hitting the glass.
