The cedar is a Lebanon Cedar and is found in most cemeteries. It is a long lived evergreen and that one is original to Rose Hill, I am guessing. I looks to be approximately over 200 years. Beautiful! Consort means "the spouse of" who ever is named on that headstone.

There’s a cemetery a stones throw from the one I did in my very first video on this channel, and there’s an *enormous* cedar there. I wish I had visited it for that. Cedars are very common in cemeteries around here! Very powerful & energetic trees IMO.

'consort of' = died before the husband. relic of = died after the husband

Today I learned!!! Thank you! I feel like I’ve seen “relic of” on tombstones but have never really payed much mind to it!

What happened to the 8-year-old boy?

I’ve not been able to find any info. It’s probably buried in newspaper articles from back then, or requires a trip to some archives to do some research.
