I did go to the Veteran cemetery in Texas to lay flags on Veterans Day. I am also a retired Veteran. Lamont, you are only about 30 minutes from where the Reverend John Barnes and his two teen children were mercilessly killed in their home on Russell Cave Road in Lexington. This happened in 1973 when escaped convicts somehow ended up at the Barnes home. It was said even officers with decades of experience had nightmares from this. The Reverend and his children are buried at the graveyard of St. Hubert’s Episcopal Church.
That is so sad. They have found comfort at the feet of the lord. SIP REVEREND BARNES AND HIS CHILDREN. My condolences to the family may you be comforted in all you do.

Hey Lamont, why don’t you buy a small box truck,you can make a sleeping area,shelves, a table attached to the wall that comes down to use for eating and editing. You can also put a small couch along the back of the driver seat. Use a battery to hook your electrics to a small fridge. And you’re good to go in comfort. Stay safe and thank you for sharing 💕

Lamont...walking in Cavehill on a holiday weekend without a layout map is crazy. People get lost in that cemetery in their cars! Cavehill is beautiful esp in spring. It is a scooter type of place...definitely bring wheels! It is a good thing you ran into kind Louisvillians...they are the best!....Ok, you might have guessed...I'm a little biased; being a Louisvillian & a long time Highlands resident...Hope you'll come back a little earlier in the year...much cooler! Just be sure to stop by the office & get a layout map first....much easier to navigate!

Lamont those large monuments were put together on site but each piece weighed tons and the tall shafts were also put up seperate and they used cranes with wooden legs and block and tackles with draft horses or mules pulling the cables I can send you some pics if you want.
They probably just keep a trash can / dumpster by the main building in the cemetery so people don’t have to walk past bags filled with smelly trash when they go to visit a loved one

I was looking for Mia Zapata's grave myself last week, and finally found it. It is a difficult grave to find because it's a flat slab and you need to be on top of it to see it. She's not listed on the cemetery map, so we can hope that will be changed in the future. Mia's site on the far end, close to the Lexington Road side. If you enter via the Grinstead entrance, follow along to the cremation gardens at Section 39. She's toward the back curve, in Section 38. Look for a large marker with four columns and a stone vase in the center with the name Power. It's on the left side of the path, get out and look for the marker with the [astrolabe/ globe/ helioscope, not exactly sure what you call it], with the name Archer (seen in this video.) Her grave is within the third ring of markers from the trees in the center, almost parallel with the row of headstones in the next section. I have a lot of family in Cave Hill, and my great-grandfather was a worker there almost 100 years ago, and he's buried there too. Some of my family are buried quite close to Col. Sanders. I wonder if my dad and aunt knew that.

My grandparents from the late 1800 are buried at the San Fernanado cemetery! I go there with my kids and show them old Graves alot of deceased children in one area of the cemetery. Alot from the 1920s etc.

I'm from Louisville and I went to Crosby middle school here with a classmate that's buried there and she was on her way to become a famous grunge punk rock star but she was unfortunately murdered in Seattle Washington in the early 1990s and her name was Mia Zapata her story was featured on a couple of well-known television shows back in the day check it out interesting story.

JOHN BROADHUS whose grave you mentioned was the 2nd president of the southern Baptist theological seminary in Louisville. He had 3 daughters with his first wife who passed away at 26. He remarried and had several more children. He wrote a study on the book of Mark, after 20 years of research
Thank you for the Cave Hill video. One of my favorite Cemeteries. The other one is Lexington Cemetery. It is very large! We went there just to walk. Lots of shade. Kentucky is hot right now!

l still eat Hot Dogs, and enjoy them, l worked in a Safeway And Swift Meat processing plant for a few years, I'm very familiar with how theyre made. The plants l worked for were very sanitation aware, and a USDA inspector was always present. They didn't use prime cuts of Beef, Pork, Chicken or Turkey for Cold Cuts, but they were safe (if not healthy) for consumption. I've enjoyed them for years, not as a regular diet, but for certain times when you really crave a Hot Dog.🌭🌭
Harleys are cool. I like the sound, the feel of being on them, and the guys who own them. It's not to be "like" anybody. lol IDGAF what anybody likes, dislikes, has, doesn't have. I prefer Harleys. To each is own. 😝🤟 You like scooters. Your preference. It doesn't matter. 🤷♀️

Thank you for the Cave Hill video. One of my favorite Cemeteries. The other one is Lexington Cemetery. It is very large! We went there just to walk. Lots of shade. Kentucky is hot right now!

Happy 4th Lamont. We had storms all day here in South Carolina with flooded streets so most of our plans got cancelled but at least we saw awesome fireworks today.

l still eat Hot Dogs, and enjoy them, l worked in a Safeway And Swift Meat processing plant for a few years, I'm very familiar with how theyre made. The plants l worked for were very sanitation aware, and a USDA inspector was always present. They didn't use prime cuts of Beef, Pork, Chicken or Turkey for Cold Cuts, but they were safe (if not healthy) for consumption. I've enjoyed them for years, not as a regular diet, but for certain times when you really crave a Hot Dog.🌭🌭
