- In this episode, We FOUND the very best rock fishing spot on the Karikari peninsula. It is right by Puheke beach and has easy access to the spot.
We went to this place multiple times while we were camping at Tokerau beach. Mark caught a nice eating-sized snapper with fresh Kahawai bait in the morning.
Hyeshin caught a big snapper with a Z-man soft bait at sunset.
We made nice sashimi with the snapper.
It was really great that we found that place. We love exploring new fishing spots while we travel around the country.

@@walkintomydream7208 Cheers & best wishes to you. If you don't have a great one, most importantly have a safe one.🍺
AWESOME video
Thank you!!
Beautiful view and nice fishing spot ! Do you think any kingfish there ? thanks !
yeah I think there will be kingfish at times. I actually almost hooked one there on a stick bait.
Hey man you need burley youll get way more fish👍 and pilchards dont need bait cotton keep them frozen and take one or two out of backpack at a time👍
Haha, cheers. Yeah burley gets more fish for sure. But I hardly every use it, eh. It's too much hassle. I prefer fishing for shorter periods during the bite times and catching only 1 or 2 fish. Catching lots of fish would mean even more hassle. You gotta then carry, prepare and freeze all this fish, LOL
@@Fishingreminder lol yeah each to there own👍 we usually take minimum of 10kg burley usually 10-15kg I fish every weekend usually take home alot of nice eaters to feed mates and family I put them on ice whole in chili bin when get back to the car then fillet them later or next day vacuum pack bags are the way to go keeps em fresh for ages👍
Puheke
Hi guys. Awesome video!!. what tide is the best for fishing.
depends on location but I quite like fishing on low and first bit of incoming
Hi where is that place?
Arigato 👍
:)
😂
Hey mate, you shouldn’t put your hand in the fishes gills, if you are going to release it. it’s just a waste of fish rather eat it. The chances of it surviving are pretty low if you put your hand in it’s gills. Just so you know for next time👍
Thanks for the tip mate
Incoming tide usually the best time
At 1:48 in I can see a lot of wear at the top o
Is that just from walkers or do some people drive their 4wd down further
Yeah some people drive down a bit further to the edge of the cliff. Not too steep, but not sure if that's the best thing to do 🙂
