Omg the sound of the bike brings back memories 🥲of the ‘21 I had (hit a deer in Virginia and totaled it) But healed some now (broke ankle and 2 fingers)and will be picking up my’23 this week 😊 Not will ever be as good as a Goldwing to me #1 in my book
This guy is using his thumb to change gears when he feels the need. If you let the bike do the changing for you, it's smooth and quiet. It helps on steep asscents to change gears yourself, more pull equals more stability out of the tight corners. If you put it in sport mode, it will do the job just as well. This guy has the bike in tour mode, not ideal in this situation
Try doing the clutch synchronization, it makes a world of differance. I've had to do 2 times in 3 years, much smoother gear changes. RUclips search for the sequence
Hi, the windshield is the Puig 3160W. I got it from Amazon Germany. I haven’t noticed any back pressure. I didn’t check whether my fuel consumption is higher than before, I used the original shield only a short time.
Interesting... I didn't know that DCT had that kind of clunky shifting; it just does it for you. I had been considering one of those as a third bike, but I'll stick to my Road Kings. I just saw another video with one of these and it did not clunk like that... you might want to have that adjusted.
Hi, I'm riding the Africa Twin with DCT. You won't be able to hear or feel the gear changes, no clunking whatsoever. Normally DCT is the smoothest possible way to rtide a bike. P.S. Will testride the new Road Glide tomorrow, looking forward to it.
Hi Auke, great video. I have the same bike. Did you ever use the paddles to make a manual gear change before the hairpins or just let the DCT do its thing? 👍
Hi Dave, I used them here at the Grimsel pass before the hairpins but it sounded clunky and it was not really necessary. In my videos of the Susten pass I only used the DCT.
Great drive, thank you👏👌
I love to watch these sceneries, especially with such a beautiful blue sky as a background. Keep them coming! Subscribed 😊
Thank you Mary Jane! The sceneries and the sky were indeed beautiful. I’m planning to go back to Switzerland next year. ☺️
What an amazing backdrop - beautiful!
Seriously

Thanks Auke, I enjoyed the ride!👍
You’re welcome, Ralph! 😊
nice ride, alpes are fun to drive
Wow! That’s a big one ❤
Hahaha, yes it is! 😊
stunning view
I thought that the DCT would make silent changes - sounds very clunky 😬
Yes especially low gear shifts sound a bit clunky 😊

@@jmc8444 even that shouldn't be so clunky! It strange...

Thanks Robert! I will sure try this, I had no idea that you could synchronize the clutch yourself 😮
@@aukej6024Yep, every 5k miles I do mine, a 10 minute job.
When I bought mine I had to show the dealership how to do it. Their DCT test bikes rode like crap.
It's amazing!Thanks for sharing..and.Which model of camera is?Its a GOPRO 12, insta 360.....?Thanks in advance ;)
Thank you! The camera I used is a Gopro 11, in wide-angle mode
Hi. Could you send a link where you bought the windshield? Very good width. Thanks 😎
What model is your windshield? Have you more back pressure than before? Have you more consumption? Thanks in advance for your reply💪

Heading their in June, confidence inspiring seeing how the bike handled on the those mountain passes 👍
@@davez1713Have fun, Dave! Make sure to keep the throttle open and use the rear break in slow turns. Some people call this the ‘DCT trick’
lass dein DCT einmal synchronisieren, vom Händler oder selbst, ist kein Hexenwerk, Gruss Andi
OMG....... I envy you.
😊
Did you sort the clunky transmission ?
Not yet 😊
Swisra?
What mic set up?
Just the GoPro, no external mic. I used a HSU windslayer cover from Amazon to reduce wind noise.
kalau ini ada di Indonesia , sudah macet tuh jalanannya.

It's car
This is how to ruin a gearbox ... my ears are bleeding ... clunky as hell ... put it in sport mode and let the DTC working !
