    Mackerel para is a Goan traditional side dish made with dried salted mackerels,marinated with coarsely ground masala with vinegar (no added water)kept for 3 to 4 weeks in an airthight glass container and then consumed by shallow frying the fish.
    Ingredients
    40 Dried salted mackerels(medium size)
    50 red dried baydgi chillies
    30 garlic cloves
    2 inch ginger
    2 inch cinammon stick
    1/2 tbsp peppercorns
    1/2 tbsp cloves
    vinegar as required
    oil to fry fish
