Actually the whole part of Malaysia is underrated, not just my city here in Kuching 😥 I’m so sad that other people can’t see that Malaysia is a beautiful country and the food is more delicious here with many different kinds of food But I’m happy to see that u enjoy being in Kuching 😄 But u know why people won’t consider coming to Malaysia, it’s because they judge too soon without even trying! But now u know Malaysia Kuching is beautiful 😜
Welcome to Sarawak guys. Enjoy your stay cos it's going to be adventure waiting to be explore. It's a huge state almost as big as the whole of west Malaysia. After Kuching City, next, will be the town of Sibu, Bintulu and the city of Miri. Lots of nature and diversity in ethnicity, culture and tradition.
1. kampung budaya, beach 2. Bako to watch animal 3. Semenggoh Nature Reserve to see orang utan 4. Bengoh Dam Pendawan Susan waterfall or Kampung Sapit 5. Anna Rais Hot Spring 6. Jong's Crocodile Farm
Wow! We might have been bumped into each other. We stayed in Hilton for two weeks and just left Kuching three days ago. This video brought so much beautiful memories! Thanks.. enjoy Kuching. We’d love to come back one day
One of the activities that I love tp do when I am in Sarawak is to kayak along the Semadang River- traversing the rain forest. It is suitable for kids and is very relaxing… i do wish you would try that! Enjoy!
Went to Kuching in 2007 and stayed at Hilton. Got the rooms with similar view as yours. Superb! I think they renovated the hotel as the interior design of the lobby and coffeehouse look different from the last I stayed there. Enjoy your trip in Sarawak!
Walk to the waterfront again, either after finishing your breakfast around 9-10am, or later around 5pm, take a boat at one of the jetties between the "kuching" lettering and the s-curved bridge, maybe one nearer to the lettering, ask the boatman if he can get you guys across to the jetty for kampung gersik. Very short boat ride. Very cheap too. Once you get off, look for mira cake house, it has big red signage. Go buy 2-3 loaves of kek lapis sarawak (layered cake). Each loaf is about 8 inches long and 2"x2" square across. 1 of it should be the batik type, which has colorful weave pattern. This is for aesthetic appearance. You slice it about ¼inch - 10mm and arrange the slices on a plate, ig photo right there! The other 1 or 2 you can try masam manis (masam = sour, manis = sweet) or chocolate cheese, etc. They are cheap too. Ask them how long they can last without storing inside a fridge. If you want a slightly fancier way of bagging it instead of the usual grocery type of just place them inside a plastic bag and that's that, at the counter tell them you are carrying it with you on the flight 😬
@@sunkissedbucketlist the boat ride to and fro itself is worthy of a youtube video 👍 Have fun in kuching! *Oh I forgot 1 important thing, in case you too may overlook it, don't forget to check accuweather the day before, so you don't have to abort your plan if thunderstorm comes a calling, you don't want to be out in the waters then. Drizzles are okay. Take care!
Wow, what a delicious breakfast u guys had 😋. The view from hotel is awesome. The bird eyes view of the Sarawak River is stunning too 😲. Keep on exploring Kuching and make reviews guys, stay safe 😀⚘⚘
Kuching attractions: Siniawan Old Town Street food, Tasik Biru (Blue Lake), Wind cave, Fairy cave, Borneo Highlands, Annah Rais hotspring, Telok Melano Kilometres zero, etc. More hidden gems to explore.
Behind Hilton Kuching at hill that’s have food court open at night lotsssss of superb fresh seafood & don’t forget try vegetable call MIDIN ( delicious as midin goreng belacan) only can get in Sarawak no where else in the world & try also mee kolok, kampua mee, laksa Sarawak also nasi goreng dabai because this menu when u eat outside of Sarawak you’ll never taste better, my suggestion u should visit Sarawak on June because 1st June every year that’s GAWAI DAYAK ethnic festival for more further information should go to tourist centre just nearby waterfront, have a great journey for both of u ✌️
For some luxury and comfort, we have always chosen Hilton. The view over the river is super amazing. Just imagine waking up to such beautiful view from the massive window! We've stayed there many times and have not had any complains. 8:02 The shallow pool is great for kids but nothing to say adults can’t be there. Just enjoy them while you're there. 😊 10:00 Look at the clouds in the sky... Those are what fascinated me when I was in Kuching recently. It's so dramatic... like as if the clouds were displaying a story of their own... I tell you, I can't get enough of them. Everyday when I wake up, I'd go outside and see what the clouds have to display... 10:08 The Astana was built by the Second Rajah (Charles) and it is currently the official residence of the State's Governor. 10:11 The new mosque is to replace the old one which was nestled at the back of two rows of shophouses on Jalan Gambir and India Street. It used to cater to Muslims especially the Indian merchants who came to trade and sell spices. 10:44, 10:47, 11:05... damn those clouds...! 🤩😍 Yes, the fountain show. It's brilliant. Using a fountain of water as a back drop for some images.
Go to choon Hui cafe at jalan Ban Hock to try Sarawak Laksa where Anthony Bourdain did had his breakfast of God's. Instead, yourcan try the cafe bread and softboiled eggs.
I'm going to Kuching next week but I' not going to eat in the Hilton, didn't you find authentic Sarawakian food more enticing? Maybe you do in a later vid.
Are you planning to visit the 'long house' the traditional house of Sarawakians ethnics? You can check out about the 'long house' in Jetlag Warrior's yt videos.
First to comment!! 😃 like your video, glad you both like Kuching, Sarawak. Hope you guys can visit other part of sarawak. Such as Sibu, Bintulu, Mukah & Miri. ☺️🙏🏻
