His voice does sound a bit strained in this performance. I'm with you....I hope he makes good choices and does what he needs to do to keep that voice in good health. Of course, my wishes are purely selfish.
@@kristywhited8857he does take care of his voice but during this performance you can see bits of his old vocals come out and I think thats what strains his voice. His voice sometimes varies. If you notice in the battle of gardens gate album his voice is a bit higher than it is in star catcher. Even when the dreams of gold tour was going he sang in a higher pitch and now I’ve noticed he’s changed his vocals a bit.
OH MY WOW! My 17 year old introduce me to these awesome guys and all I can say is these guys are bringing loud wild fantastic rock back.
My oldest daughter introduced me to Gretta Van Fleet I wasn't sure at first but they have an amazing sound attended my first concert hearing these kids in there home town I have seen many concerts in my life these kids are Great keep on chasing your dreams all of you are going Far !

I was there! My 4th GVF show, first Arena GVF show, second in Oakland.
Is that the coliseum I seen a ton of shows at the old coliseum and the cow palace and the Henry j coliseum I miss the Bay Area
@@ronstille7924 No, it's the indoor Oakland Arena next to the Coliseum. That's why it's considered an "arena concert", if they played at the Coliseum, that would be a "stadium concert".
I am watching this video 1 week before the GVF concert in DC. Super hyped! I can see they have a phenomenal presence on the stage. Also the live music is so much better than the recorded songs. Long live GVF! You have won over a lot of souls. I hope you can bring back the glory days of music.

i saw these guys perform a short set right before starcatcher came out. festival was Shaky Knees in ATL. They were AMAZING. Wife surprised me with tickets to see them in May next year. cant wait.

Love the HQ sound. I love Josh, he's my fav vocalist rn, but being a vocalist myself, I think this particular night he was just off slightly. His tone wasn't all there, but your voice is always different every day so I understand the difficulties and can relate tbh. Great Show.
That being said, it definitely wasn't bad and it wasn't on every song, just something i picked up while watching the first few.
@@darcyjrofe I was at the Rosemont show a few days ago, and Josh mentioned he was diagnosed with bronchitis. He had a few off moments that night, but for the most part he was great. I just hope he doesn't push himself too hard and damage his voice

This is a pretty good matrix of the two sources. If I had to critique one thing, it's that when Jake's playing acoustic or Josh is speaking to the audience, the audios of the IEM source and the video don't quite match up, creating a weird echo effect in the audio.

YES! I was waiting for someone to say something. I LOVE GVF with all my heart, but this show wasn't it.. Josh didn't sound very well and he almost ran into Jake a couple times.. He didnt have that usual Josh energy, if that makes sense? He was rubbing his ear and shaking his head like something was wrong at one point.😔I just wanted to hug him.

I keep hoping that this band produces even one album like Rush’s Moving Pictures or almost any of Zeppelin’s albums. I haven’t liked one album after their first and even that one has no catchy memorable tunes. Meandering music with no good hooks and lyrics you can give a crap about.
