His voice is maturing so much. I was one that thought they sounded like Rush/Led cover band but now they sound like they have their own unique and cool sound. So much fun to listen to!
100% agree! They have their own style and sound- seriously in a class by themselves. Rush, triumph, Led Zepplin, Aerosmith, heart, and the list goes on. NO OTHER band has this versatility. They are phenomenal lyricists, and musicians where I would never even think about singing along to the songs, rather 100% listen with everything in me to witness such gifts. Absolute incredible guys!
I love 60/70 rock/bluesrock/psycadelic rock. And i love led Zeppelin/Jimi Hendrix/Cream and many more from that era and i dont care that they sound like led Zeppelin im just glad there is a band making rock/bluesrock music in todays music industry😅and im only 15
I have to agree that I'm glad to see a new generation playing old school rock, but I can't help but feel that something is seriously lacking. You can hardly understand a single word he sings. You would think if they get that straightened out in the production side of things that they would be a much better band.
Super hard working musicians. I'm thrilled to see that work pay off as they become more popular by the day. I'm equally excited to have tickets to see them this coming March in Tampa.
I´m 43 and my dad 73 and we love them !!! every song is so good, the lyrics, the music everything, long time ago i haven´t felt this charm and love for a band, now I´m crazy for them
I am 61 and these young men have simply (along w/Nahko Bear,) restored my faith in humanity!☺️ It take’s awhile to figure out the lyrics but they Always seem relevant to their generation and they rock exactly as rock was meant to be❤️🔥🎶❤️🌈🌹
Finally there is a relatively new band that has it...I my self (age 47) listen mostly bands formed in the 70's and 80's...hard rock, heavy metal, trash metal etc being closest to heart but very wide range from blue's to pop also...but these guys...were not even born when grunge came to stir things up... ...been hearing them from radio rock here in Finland for a while and they stuck in my head cause of they're sound...finally I got the time to listen these live recordings and wow...absolutely hits!...beautiful...would love to see them in Finland too...
@@markonurmi5479 I know! there are sticking in my head too ! I really hope have the opportunity to see them live in Mexico in 2024, I enjoy the videos in live and the sound is too much better than the records
Being a soundie myself, people don’t tend to appreciate quality audio until it’s gone or messes up haha I appreciate you putting the effort into actually properly capturing the concert with mics. My souls cried at that 1hr 23m mark when it switched over 😆
Josh is really coming into his own live! He has great breath control and is not reaching for the high notes. Also a bit of growl ). So cool to see this band develop over the years. I really think what hindered them was to much exposure to fast before they figured it out. Used to be bands had 5 or 6 years working in clubs perfecting the sound before they went national. But with GVF they exploded online just out of high school. Again good job guys!
Great upload. These guys rock. I'm in my 50's and I am so glad that there are still real musicians out there. EVERY musician is influenced by the music they grew up listening to. Any hate aimed at these guys for "copying" Led Zep is BS. They are creative and true to themselves. For the most part, straightforward vocals and great guitars into great amps, with a talented drummer.
I said the same thing after seeing Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, RUSH, The Rolling Stones, Metallica with the San Francisco Symphony, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Journey w/Steve Perry & on and on. Keep rocking girl, lots of fun shows left in your life! ❤
I love this guys! and I hope to have the oportunity to see them in Mex '24, but I see Josh a little diconected from audience vs others live shows i´ve seen in youtube ♥
It was well worth the wait. Especially after watching them from the upper deck at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. I have video of that, but without good audio.
Thank you so much for posting! I was there and really wanted to be present so I didn’t record any videos but then I wished I had taken videos to relive the night!
I know the feeling. Being present is more important at times. Rarely do I record an entire show for that very reason. However, I do try and record the complete audio for shows. That makes a great memory as well.
Where have I been the past few years only just discovered this amazing band I love them his voice his hauntingly beautiful I'm a metal rock punk lover 58 year old Mum I W have seen many bands over the years these I would love to see
Not ez holding the camera all eve. Thanks for the explanation. And thanks for capturing. I saw them a few nights later in Albany. Same show Also brilliant.
Thanks for the comment. It's well worth the trouble when it turns out ok (even with the imperfections). While I miss some of the live action the night of the show, it gets made up for when the event can be some-what re-lived through the audio or video recordings.
I saw them a few weeks ago and felt he was lip syncing. Especially when he would talk between songs and you could tell he was still suffering from a sore throat.
All across the world we traveled wayward for, in search of things to hold. I’ve asked in moments filled with doubt, and this is what i’m told. That living in itself is a constant celebration of love, and where there is love, we will live on, and where there is not love, we must provide it. Peace is not for purchase, it’s a state of being. Exercise the responsibility of freedom, we are prisoners of freedom. Age doesn’t change the person within, it is the person within that changes throughout ages. Death should not be a way of life, as only a part of it. Letting go is the only thing we will never understand. The only fun that must be had is too much. People need people. Enjoy all of it, always, and remember that all you have is special. Love doesn’t leave when we fade away. All across the world we traveled wayward for, in search of things to hold. And in the end, we will spend the weight of dreams in gold. - Josh Kiszka

Excellent seats ! I can only imagine the heat you felt there. We were in the nosebleeds at the one we went to and felt it. Next time we will definitely get closer seats.
It is really awesome that such a little town like Cville has such a big musical footprint. Ramones, Rolling Stones, U2 have played there. Not counting DMB.
I don't see the Robert Plant comparison. Maybe elements but Plant was a sex symbol. this guy reminds me more of Jon Anderson of Yes. Great voice and great old school sound. This is the music I grew up on in the 70s.
Good quality video and audio. Had tickets to the show scheduled for 21 October in Jacksonville that was cancelled due to Josh Kiszka's ruptured ear drum. Big disappointment. Looks like it was a great show.
We went to Frankenmuth, MI where these guys were raised. My God, it's like a fairy tale town. Just beautiful! I told everyone there I was a Greta Van Fleet groupie at age 70....I thought it was funny. They just looked at me 🤣 By the way, it's a big cheese town but I wasn't impressed with any of the numerous samples. It was just a beautiful place to visit!

They're 10/10 musicians, but 4/10 showmans. Saw them in quebec and half the venue left before the end of the show. There's so much impro, your brain gets tired and stops comprehending the notes by the time half the show is done. LOVE them on record, but live, you need to eat, sleep, and breathe greta van fleet to last the whole show. Saw them with my dad and his brother, both huge fans of rock. By the time the 5th song rolled in, they were both ready to leave. Everything sounds the same, they need to explore diffrent keys that are further appart. Josh sings like no one else, jake's solo's are kickass, danny's drumming is insane, and sammy's real fun to watch switching between bass and keys, but they their shows feel like a practice rather than a fully fledged out gig. It's like they try so hard to impress you with their skills, that the show ends up suffering. Less is more, and they haven't grasped that yet. Few impro parts are better if they're further appart than if they were recurrent. If they do fewer of those, they'll stick out more. Jake's wobbles back and forth for the whole gig, and josh is pretty static. It gets hypnotizing , and not in a good way.
I've been watching Greta for quite awhile now even from their early gigs that landed on you tube. They've always improvised in their sets that's just who they are. I understand the less is more part of your comment. However they will probably never be 2 or 3 minute songwriters. They probably can write those songs but live they'll inevitably be 6 or 7 minutes. Lol Plus they already stick out. Not many bands doing that style of rock. Also they are still young and will probably change up the set a bit as they get older and have more time in the game. I get you though, I can't do jam bands very much either.
Thanks for this amazing show Truly enjoyed this
