That usb port also allows access to the Tamron Lens Utility app. For videographers it's an unbelievable tool: mechanical/linear manual focus, fully programmable focus pulls for single point or from multiple points to multiple points, with rack speed included. For tele shooters, the programmable focus limiter is priceless. Recently, they've added a digital follow focus capability (on the android app) with stepless iris... and they've added astro focus lock for those who need to make certain the lens is set for the correct infinity distance required for starlight photography. All of this works on 7 lenses in their lineup at the moment. What Tamron has going these days is actually kind of amazing.

You'd never buy this lens? I mean it's priced pretty well, fantastic in a lot of ways. images are crisp, focus is fast, zoom variety is excellent. If you'd never buy a good versatile lens then what would you buy? And why review something you'd never buy? Kinda weird.
@@michaelbuddy I review things for other people, not myself. This is something I wouldn’t buy because I shoot portraits, not birds. Sounds like the perfect lens for you, so you are who I did the review for. You should check out any of my other videos and I think you’d understand what I meant when I said it’s not my style.

I thought you got some interesting and unique shots using this lens. This was a good, somewhat different review .I enjoyed hearing your thoughts about the new Tamron 50-300.
Thanks I didn’t really feel good about them, hard for me to shoot considering my style. Makes me feel a bit better!

That's what I am waiting for I was planning to buy 70300 but then I saw this lens now I am waiting because it is much better than 70 300
What you hear when shaking the lense is the stabilizer, not the AF system
