It's a fantastic song. Cat Stevens lived in his family's restaurant in the West End around the time he wrote this. Wonder if he ever thought he'd hear it like this as a sort of country line dance. Best cover I've heard of this classic.
It’s a shame about what happened to Cat Stevens. He was young when he shot to fame. Then he had some kind of existential crisis, and he went off the deep end. The same thing happened to Kurt Cobain. I think that the real reason that Cat Stevens went loopy is that he was raised in the Jewish religion. I was too. But the Jewish religion isn’t really a religion. It’s a communist organization that uses religion as a form of protection. The Jewish Temples don’t have “religious” people, they have a bunch of political schemers who are constantly involved in racial shenanigans. It’s horrible. So young men like Cat Stevens don’t benefit in any way from being Jewish. In fact, there are so many Jewish feminists now that all you get at the temple is a big “screw you”. Millions of young Jewish guys grow up with no religion at all. In that moral vacuum, it’s only to be expected that some of those men will reach out to something which isn’t full of hatred and resentment, like Jewish women. Islam is one option, but I chose Christianity. It was the best decision that I ever made. I went from a bunch of really nasty feminists, to a nice Church full of friendly people. Israel is a giant failed Jewish temple. But instead of a few hundred feminists, you’ve got millions. That will eventually spell the end of the country. If it were up to me, I would close all the Jewish temples in America. Those are nothing but communist meeting rooms. And then I would stop all aid to Israel. That money isn’t being used to feed people. It’s being used to support an enormous network of bribery and corruption. If that money didn’t go to Israel, the Jews would have to reduce government employment by fifty percent. Israel is just a failed communist experiment, funded by Washington D.C. The only way to save that country is to teach the Jews that a family has a Mom and a Dad. That’s the only formula. No homosexuals, or single mothers, or lesbians, or feminists. But Israel will scream bloody murder if the free money stops. So we’ll have to be tough and say: You were given a country, if you can’t keep it that’s your problem. End of story. There are about three million Marxist females in Israel, and they represent the real problem. Communists can’t be reformed, and they can’t remain where they are.
@UCYK4PkxhLverXc9ZQJ_BL9w Cat Stevens wrote this song, and yes, I know that he converted to Islam. If you watch this video, you’ll notice a few things. The two guys sharing ice cream in the booth at the restaurant, the sign that says “pink, ” the star-shapes that are formed by the dancers. The Mavericks have apparently become a homosexual glee club. That’s really a shame. The premise of the video is that our physical bodies are of no importance. The only thing that matters is “attitude”. (After all, that’s what the song is about.) But that’s completely wrong. To reject our own bodies is to reject the entire physical world. So remember: Romantic love is only permissible between a man and a woman. That’s where identity, and continuity, and parenthood, and art come from. If we reject the material world, and pretend that men are women, then people who have not rejected the material world will take-over. Madonna is a material girl, so she’ll eventually be placed in charge as a certified “Realist”. That’s why you see such desperation in the government’s attempt to convince people that robots and avatars are “real people”. They’re not, they’re just puppets on a string. If we surrender control of ourselves and our children to Harry Potter magical incantations, then the human race will disappear, because the culture which fosters marriage and children will have been destroyed. Everyone will be living on a computer-generated dreamworld. That’s what Washington D.C. wants: the ability to sell what does not belong to them, by delegitimizing white men, and fathers, and reality itself. Bear in mind that homosexuals hate American society, and so do blacks, and Jews. So the more influential those three groups become, the faster we will disappear. In fact, our children are currently reproducing at far below the replacement rate. That needs to be corrected as soon as possible. The Mavericks are deadly communist agents for Washington, which is itself an agent for China.
Raul's energy and joy are infectious. I love the bit of steel guitars and Mexican brass added into the arrangement. It gives a little bit of a rockabilly sound.
