Hi Becky, 👋. I've made this twice now and followed recipe and instructions to the letter. However both loaves turned out quite wet. They look and taste great but hard to cut and even harder to butter. Any clues on what I'm doing wrong. Many thanks.
This has been so very helpful!! Our son who is anaphylactic to dairy and egg has now added wheat to his list of allergens. I have a replacer for the egg whites and cannot wait to give this process a whirl. Wish me luck!! (❤ your accent!)

I’m wondering if the loaf is supposed to be sticky once it’s cooled and sliced. I’ve made 3 loaves so far and they have all been the same. When I cut the cold loaf the bread sticks to the knife. Any suggestions or is this how it is?

Yeast doesn't need to froth up, just bloom. It depends on the temperature in your kitchen and other variables. Not everyone will see a beer head on their yeast. If you're using your yeast on a regular basis you can add it directly to your dry mix.
Hi becky could I use instant yeast. Sorry I'm new to this. As 14 year old has just been diagnosed with celiacs disease. Oh I've brought all your books there amazing xxxx

Well im at my wits end with irritable bowel syndrome. Two doctors told me to follow the specific carbohydrate diet for irritable bowel syndrome. No wheat...no rice...no potatoes...no corn and no dairy. The diet started to work but now its not working. I wonder if fodmap diet will work for me?
Can someone help me with this question, I bought the bob mils 1to 1 flour which already contains xantham gum. Do I still need to add xantham gum or do I just skip that ingredient as the flour already contains it?
Heya Becky. Becky, thank you for your hard work! Please help me! I've been trying to make this bread several times, but it doesn't work 😢😢 It's sticky! 😭😭😭 I changed the flour, increased the baking time in the oven, constantly weigh all the ingredients on the scales, but it still doesn't work! 😩😩😩😩
Hi! Are you cutting the bread while it's still warm? Lots of gluten free bread needs to be cooled ALL the way to room temp before it's set properly, so maybe that's why it's sticky?
How do I make my dough less wet once its already mixed together, I can't seem to get it to look like it does on this video (raw in the tray). Please help!
If you stick to all the ingredients/measurements used in the recipe (use weighing scales to ensure everything is accurate as gluten-free baking has little room for error!) it should be like how mine is in the video. If not, differing ingredients or removing them can affect the consistency - for example, removing psyllium will make it way too wet and the type of flour blend can affect the consistency too. Those are just a few things off the top of my head - hope that helps! xx
Do you know if there is a substitute for xanthium gum? When I eat it, I painfully bloat and look 10 months pregnant. Much the same reaction as I had when I was eating gluten.
So can’t wait to try this. I have your cook book which is amazing and will be getting the ingredients on Monday to make the bread.
