- Open gates along the border wall are common during monsoon season. Anti-wall activists say the open gates demonstrate that the wall is just a political stunt.
C’mon MAN! That is so obviously on purpose..
How does that stop flooding ? There's big spaces between the bars it's in no way water tight ??.
Debris builds up against the slats like sticks and scrap, then sand and dirt and smaller materials are able to dam up against the wall. This causes sections to fall down or shift creating openings. The floodgates policy has been around a long time.
If debris is such a problem to require opening the doors, you'd imagine the news footage would at least show prior examples of those impacts, since these conditions are being protrayed as critical threats to Arizona border towns, therefore the floods must be common enough to have been filmed by ar least someone with a smartphone.. but none of the footage displays this. Nor do they reference any specific data or research sources.
Looks to me me like government insiders want those doors open for other specified reasons, and monsoons are the cover story to distract from whatever they're really trying to accomplish.
Close the damn Gates. They don’t need to go through the gates , we just let everyone in .

How does flood water get caught on a steel post wall? There's openings every 4 inches for water to flow through.

This story didn't age well. Now there are 1,400 illegals PER DAY coming through those open gates near Lukeville.
Its not a wall it is a fence. A poorly constructed expensive fence that something with a battery powered hack saw can cut the bollards in a minute or two.
Just get the first twenty guys who come through and hire them to patch the fence. Better yet use the fence material to make something useful.

Maybe would should build walls around our individual state's. And then we could build a wall straight down the middle. North and South all over again. And if that don't work then we can start to quarter it off section by section, as hate will surely grow and grow.
