A truly extraordinary laser machine, robust, very powerful, easy to install that allows you to make the first engraving or cutting in a few minutes. It can also be controlled from the Android App if you don't have a PC or Mac for cable management. I have never tried such a powerful laser and I assure you, it makes a difference. You can reduce time and make cuts or engravings at a higher speed, thanks to the very high power of the laser. IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO CUT METALS, but only engrave them with some precautions

Kind of scummy to clickbait a 20w laser as a "130w laser" because the whole machine uses that power for motors and air assist. Suddenly makes sense that this "130w laser" can barely cut aluminum foil thickness metal.
Yes but then again you need to read the specifications before making an opinion. Its a sales technique and it happens all over the world.
@@Pir8Gaming361no
It's 20W, which is very high for a diode laser, but a long damn way from 130w.
130W electrical input, but 20W optical power output, which would sound about right.
Brand: Atomstack
Model: M100
Machine Power: 130W
Laser Power: 20W
@@antecboy Nobody cares about electrical input when it comes to a laser. The only metric that matters is what comes out. So when a machine is advertised as 130 Watts, that's what people expect the output to be.
@@B4119812B Not a single person on planet earth cares what the power draw of a small diode laser is. So it's bad advertising.
@@antecboy Not true.. The 130W is a "CO2 laser equivalent power". That means it has a strenght of 130W CO2 laser, give or take. If it was 130W input power, then 110W would be lost/dissipated as heat. And that is a lot of heat, it would just burn itself.
Remarkable.
A 130W machine powered from a 120W power supply.
These people are in the wrong industry, they could be making bank in the energy business...
US power is 120v on a 15 amp circuit you can easily draw 1500w
@@oglordbrandon On a 120W power supply?
Sure, go ahead. Have fun with that...
@@joshua43214 sorry I thought you meant the outlet.
130W is just the brand name lol, on their website they admit it's only a "20W" laser, made out of 4 6W laser diodes
Leser diode on 130w, no way! Marketing lies
Just a heads up. The customer service from this company is not the greatest. I recently purchased this machine and have noticed quite a few imperfections and scratches on the machine. It appears to have been previously assembled as their was anodized aluminum in the screw threads, adjacent scratches on the control box and the back of the screen, flat spots on the wheels, and the limit switches were installed. Also the top cap on the laser prevents it from sliding all the way down to the workpiece. I purchased their rotary axis as well. This came with a busted nob. The companies solution is to send me new screws, wheels, and belts. And to tell me that the damages were a result of customs going through the box.
You should show the cut in real time or tell us how long it takes.
Also it looks like some kind of very soft ply, 5ply at 12mm isn't strong ply. Probably poplar or a balsa ply. Try it with 12mm birch and post results.
@@sccsuk ikr my 100w c02 would struggle a bit with 12mm birch
It's long... Great for hobbyists, not for making money.
@@sccsuk They often use Paulownia plywood which is a bit denser than balsa, so it makes for impressive videos. I suspect this would choke badly on 5mm birch ply.
@@macrumpton it won't cut even 3mm birch without several passes, they just need to stick to what these lasers do best which is engraving not cutting lol,
Looks really great! Where can I buy this machine?
Saying it's a 130W is so misleading. It's not the optical power, only the power it draws. It has 4x5.5W led, so with the mirror loss, it's more about a 20W laser(which is great!).
If only they had better cable management
that is what many chinese lasers do: rate the power consumption NOT the actual laser power.
Amazing...i wish some day..i got one of that machine..god bless
Hello, I ordered a X20 Pro yesterday and used your discount code. Thanks for the video.
To think how awesome it was to have a 10mW laser in the 80's lol. Great video.
what settings are you using to cut 10mm plywood?? im using speed of 5 power 100% and im barely getting through 3/16 in plywood. i have the Atomstack A20 Pro using Lightburn
I guess you found out by now, but just for completeness: Was it the max power config in Lightburn? My installation was at a value of 255, but it needs to be set to 1000.
please forgive my ignorance...Will this laser cut white sheet styrene and white pvc board in thicknesses no greater than a quarter inch?
Great unboxing great video i've understand even i'm bad in english because your video thank you so much
Ciao Daniele, complimenti per la recensione. E' possibile sapere quanti L/minuto eroga il compressore ??? Grazie
Hello! How is it with White Foambord, Epp, Depron?
it is a 20w laser , 80- 100 wart are some REALLY high power c02 lasers or fiber optic lasers that (in the latter case can cut metal, not 10mm wood
The laser module says 18-21 watts. Where are you getting 130 watts from buddy?
Will you review the SCULPFUN too?I heard that it will have a new machine soon.
does it creat smoked edges after cutting that thick plywood.... and can you engrave a photo on wood
OMG this is so beautiful
Excellent product
Hi , It uses 130watt power but the laser power is still 20watt. Can you cut a clear acrylic ?
Please answer me ,which laser is good for cutting 15 mm iron or 15 mm stone ?
It would be interesting to know at what speed you are cutting the 12mm plywood.
at about .5mm a second I'm guessing 😉
Which one is better when compared from Mr carve ???
I really enjoyed this video. Great editing. Thank you.
Is there an atomstack for cutting metals? Aluminium and iron/steel?
I've got a 100w co2 laser, it makes more clean cuts than the laser from the video. I think the problem is not sufficent air flow in the laser spot. My guess that co2 for wood\acrillic is more convinient that this small one. For metals only the fiber laser with 20W+ can do the good job. Another problem - wood and acrilic cutting (even engraving) produces mass of toxic smoke. My aspiration system is 700W power and sometimes it's not enough to stay long time in the room where my laser works. Don't try to use this toy in the living spaces =) You'll die of the smoke or the hand of your roommates =)
The 130W advertised are the total power of the machine, the laser itself is only 20W. You can see it in the specs sheet in 10:10
Compare a kid's bike to a Ferrari... Believe it or not, the Ferrari is faster ! Shocking.
If you're cutting wood etc you should probably use a masking material, like an adhesive thin paper. The burns would wind up on the paper, and give a super clean cut.
@@extectic So if you put paper on acrylic glass, this laser can cut acrylic? Did I hear you right?
That was a very informative video. Thanks for that, because I have been wondering whether I should get one. Curious of your recommendation between this and the Sculpfun S30 PRO.
Bellissimo!!!!
Hi I have a question about what are the settings for cutting acrylic and plexiglass. I use lightburn. Thank you so much
very cool device for different projects
Can you cut rebar?
Thanks
I assume that is sped up. How many inches per minute or mm per minute will it cut through 10mm plywood in one pass?
I was also wondering about the speed as all has been speeded up in the very. Not a true reflection. From the specs I read that it does 12000mm/min. At least show one cut at normal speed. I have seen some of these cutters generating a lot of smoke when cutting wood.
Highly misleading title. This is NOT an "Amazing...130w laser"!
This is a 20 watt laser cutter. The machine as a whole consumes up to 130 watts, but only 20 watts of that total represents the laser output.
That is like rating your car's horsepower on the energy in the gas it consumes.
CO2 lasers are 20% efficient, so...
Can I cut borosilicate glass with laser
Consegnano i. Quanto tempo ? Grazie
It would really help the diode laser space to know accurate details of materials with time and power.
People can take informed calls of what to expect.
What a great shop.
HOW DO YOU DO WITH THE SMOKE THAT COMES OUT AT CUT TIME?
Is possible to cut 20 mm thickness with this type of laser or bound to use carbon dioxide type laser
Very nice!! Please make a workshop tor (room tor 😉)💝💝
Hello it's beautiful
Great, this engraving machine is perfect
I was thinking of getting a 40w Co2 K40 but really prefer Atomstack. Could you please confirm with that amount of power can you now cut 3mm clear acrylic? 🍺
Diode laser won't cut clear acrylic. It will cut opaque acrylic. Even the 10w diode with 50 w machine the x7 pro will cut 3 mm opaque acrylic.
You will need co2 laser for cutting clear acrylic.
Like the motherboards on the wall :D But no cpu or memory components.
can one buy the module only an adapt it to a cheap 4,5w 100x100 engraver?
the module is the expensive part.
whats the lifetime of the Laser? how much does the replacement cost? is there a replacement available? how long ist a replacement available?
1200 is a lot of dough
leaving your contacts know more info about fiber laser machine
My laser pro 20 just arrived, how do you change the Chinese language on the interface to English please help thank you.
thanks for this review
does that cut transparent acrylic ?
Great machine, but I'd rather buy an entry level CO2 laser and not be limited by the wavelength restrictions for that money (this model costs 1100-1200$).
Coward.
This machine is great if you need to engrave large panels, but cutting 12mm birch ply with a 20w laser is a fantasy.
@@macrumpton I have the 10watt version but I saw today a really great review channel do a video of this version and she cut 19mm wood from home depot in 1 pass at 100 power and 100mm/s. Not sure of the type of wood but it did cut it. That's pretty thick.
Nice video. Thanks. What laser would it take to cut through 0.1 mm stainless steel?
A fiber laser or kilowatt CO2
@@julianreverse noone uses co2 at those powerlevels. if you cant afford a fiber setup and plasma cutting is not an option - one might dare to buy some old arc lamp pumped Nd:YAG laser, usually sold as parts or untested for under 1k, I almost killed myself in the year trying to get this damn ESI Laser Trimming system from the late 80's every second weekend orso but as soon as it runs those are some nice machines

Lasers are how much energy⚡ efficient???
Can you test on aluminum? It would be nice to cut signs different sizes. Metal custom cut to make to use in wood furniture joints etc. thx!
Atomstack makes high quality stuff EXCEPT those goofy goggles. They REALLY should find a better supplier or just leave them out and just warn the user not to go blind, please use protective glasses of a specific wavelength, etc. I like the MUCH improved locking mechanism compared to the two dinky allen screws in earlier models. I dislike the touch screen/mobile app. Any serious designer paying for a machine like that will be working on a computer. It's a WASTED ADDED COST. Arguably so is the air assist setup if it is included. Again, a serious designer will have or adapt an air pumping scheme from an airbrush or aquarium system. I would MUCH rather Atomstack offer OPTIONAL components for, for example venting the smoke, amber windows, box wall hardware, air assist COUPLINGS, lights, etc.
Trust me, if it fulfilled all the features, it would be much more expensive than it is now
@@Kun373 ...as long as you can ignore the touch screen and app (still pay for it unfortunately- still a very bad choice and should only be optional) and run it with Lightburn or freeware... The 32 bit design is an improvement though the A5 Pro does excellent work without it is an upgrade. The limit switches are a definite improvement with the new one too. My A5 Pro is used for high-detail etching on soft wood. I'm able to control it to produce exactly what I need it to do. The fit and finish of the A5 Pro frame and gantry are excellent. This new one looks very similar. I expect equally good results for you. If you only need great control etching on wood at different intensities, I recommend the A5 Pro at less than half the price. I use an adjustable tankless airbrush compressor in another room for air assist.
You really are making silly points. A *REAL* designer would buy a professional machine which costs several times as much as this one does. I’m familiar with them. This is a nice machine in a market of a lot of machines in its size and cost range. They gave basically the same specs with different twists. You pick what you like.
@@melgross I agree. Also some recommendations on tested safety goggles at different wavelengths would be a good video inclusion.
@@jschreiber6461 yes.
Can metal badges be made with this laser? Can such a laser cut brass 0.8 mm?
I doubt the cut would be smooth enough to sell.
good but can you cut white or clear acrylic ?
Never with a diode based laser. Only way to really cut clear acrylic is with a saw or CO2 laser (big glass tube), if a laser engraver/cutter has a small box for the laser instead of a large glass tube and liquid cooling, it cannot cut acrylic.
Awesome video. This laser looks soooo nice.
Ciao Daniele!

It should be called the 'perceptual laser' as it could power itself, with 84 watts in/130 watts out. I've got a bridge you'd love to own.
Hola x20 es lo mismo que S20 ?
Laser power is measured in its output power, not input. The title is misleading, laser is only 20W not 130W.

What type of plywood is this? And at what settings did you use? I've been trying for the past three days to vut through a 1/4" sande plywood from Home Depot, and it tries, but it burns it. what is the optical output of the laser module?
Great content. You had me stuck. Where you from, let’s meet and play Linux, fun.
Im confused about the specs of these things is the wattage the laser power output or the power used? and is this more powerful than a 50-watt Co2 laser?
130W is the energy absorption while the laser power is 20W
also, you can not trust the power ratings of Chinese lasers.
@@davidjacobs8558 all tests I have seen show very accurate power output.
This Atomstack uses 130W of electricity to output 20W of optical laser power. Other manufacturers claim higher wattages, but only output 5W or 10W of optical laser power. A 50W Co2 laser is considerably stronger and much faster than a diode laser at cutting and engraving, but a Co2 laser also takes up a much larger footprint and costs a lot more to purchase and operate.
@@rango_unchained a 50W CO2 uses something from 400 o 600W from the wall too.
