One of the best Rangers games in my opinion is the fan-made game called Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Beats of Power by Merso X. It's short, too, but it's made with a lot of love, has 7 playable rangers, 4 playable zords, has unmorphed fights, and includes a lot of easter eggs and even live-action footage. I'd really recommend checking it out!
Awesome video and always. I didn't know about this game even with being a Power Rangers fan. Definitely a game I'm going to get thanks to your review. I would love to see a comparison video of all the Power Rangers games.
It's very unfortunate, I was hoping for more levels for that price tag. I would have loved if they had pushed for more content with season 2 and 3 elements like the different zords and villains along with an alternate skin for the green ranger as the white tiger.
The Beats of Power fan game has been my favorite PR game for a few years now. I hope this game could be half as good but ill havw to wait to find kut because the price tag is ludicrous
I am so happy that we finally got another really really good power Rangers beat him up aside from the SNES game because the last time they tried this that game was garbage from a few years ago before that got deleted. This one does every single thing that a Beat him up game needs to do give you a good variety of characters even if they all play the exact same, Make it feel like the exact same world as it was from the 90s Power Rangers show, have a very rockin soundtrack and look and oozes the 90s retro feel. I'm glad that the genre has been reaching a good resurgence of we're getting more of them because first we had the river city girls games then we had streets of rage 4 after that there was the return of the Scott pilgrim VS the world game and now this and that's not including the Yakuka series before they turn into an R PG franchise thanks to 7. Really hope to play this!
Why can't they make a megazord fighting game similar to gigabash and the old Pipeworks Godzilla games? I want play as the Dragonzord or Megazord fighting Goldar, Scorpina, Eyeguy, Rhino Blaster, ect... in a city and even throw buildings. Maybe have a mode where the megazords are earning points saving buildings while the villains earn points by destroying buildings?
I loved the OG SNES Power Rangers beat-em-up. It was everything you wanted in that kinda game at the time...except no co-op. The Movie tie-in did have co-op and was ok, but not as good. Please review them, yes.
I'm a fan of the show but this game looks like it could have more to it. Like, why not make megazord battle in style of a fighting game? Wouldn't that make sense? Also, after playing for a bit, doing the same moves and combos becomes very boring. And yeah, this game is short. Like short SHORT, and that is a bad thing. Would be good if it took around 5 - 8 hours, maybe more. Sure, it's a good game but not very much. It's just one time play, in my opinion and that's it. I mean, take a look at Power Rangers games at SNES for example. They took a lot longer to beat. So yeah, devs of this game could done more with it. 6.5/10 is my rating for this game. It's just another beat'em up game without something unique, that were started with Streets of Rage 4. After that game hit, everyone started doing their own beat'em ups just to make money. And now we have games like TMNT Shredder's Revenge, Toxic Crusaders, Double Dragon Gaiden, Power Rangers Rita's Rewind and many other games that has similar art style and that is a problem because, they all lack uniqueness. I mean, take a look at old beat'em up games. Double Dragon 2 The Revenge was different from TMNT 2 The Arcade Game. And Final Fight was different from Streets of Rage 1. They felt different, looked different and sounded different. Now look at what we have now. Similar generic beat'em up games in a sense of content, art style and feel. Call me crazy with a K but it feels like a degradation in my opinion.
Errr wasn’t shredders revenge the game that started the line of beat em up clones we have now? That game really was unique in its design and has a lot of replay value, I wouldn’t include it with those other games you mentioned.
@@maxheight22 No. Streets of Rage 4 started it and TMNT Shredder's Revenge came out after that. Yes, everybody copies the later art style of TMNT game but originally it started by Streets of Rage 4 and it's success.
What I don't understand about your comment is the comparison the old beatemups. They were pretty much always an hour in length if you're experienced, and always lacked variety. It's kind of built in to the genre. This gamee though also has a first person zord fight, bikes and other stuff.
Haven't played the game but it looks pretty good. The only thing that I might nitpick is that the animation looks perhaps too fluid, while I admire the effort put into the game by the developers, if it was meant to be a throwback to old '90s beat 'em ups it doesn't look exactly like a game from the era, even some of the most popular games like X-Men, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Final Fight, Alien vs. Predator, Captain Commando, etc. didn't have that kind of animation fluidity
I was really hiping they would have more twist with the time travel stuff than just the Tengas showing up earlier. Please review Power Ranger games. I love your videos.
Seems like a common thread in most reviews is that it's a rather short game without a lot of differences between the characters. And I can tolerate that (if the game goes on sale) as long as the differences between the characters are at least on the same level as Turtles in Time, with each character having different stats in terms of damage, reach and speed. Is that the case here?
With the dragonzord being in the game you would think it would be playable during the first person fights or the very least include the Mega Dragonzord/ Dragonzord in fighting mode.
Honestly, this game is a case of style over substance. It's pretty, sounds good, but in terms of gameplay, It lacks with every ranger playing the same. If you pick the SNES games, the rangers fight unmorphed and have more differences between them.
I beat the game last week it was disappointed the rangers moves slow you don't get extra lives and you don't get your health bar restored in Zord and bike levels
was never a fan of the series, though i did like the Green Ranger. too bad you dont get the Mega Dragonzord. I might grab this this I am a fan of Shredders Revenge. I saw go for it and compare all the Ranger games.
I'm surprised she's actually called Rita in the American version. I always thought, as a kid, that it was our dumb localization's decision to name her that way. I despised it a lot since in my Country Rita is an old fashioned name for old people. Imagine her being called ''Winifred'', to give you an idea, lol.
It definitely wasn’t worth the hype. It could’ve been way more. It should’ve been way more, especially with the combos even the storyline with Tommy. It was just kind of like he popped up and that’s it
Everyone seems to be afraid to call this game what it really is; a cash grab rip off of shredder's revenge. If the only reason you are enjoying a game is because of the nostalgia come within the game isn't that good. There's not really much to this game. The combat mechanics are incredibly bare bones and the megazord segments vary from way too easy to incredibly frustrating. There's just nothing here that justifies it being more than $15.
It's bad. It's really really bad. The gameplay is so slow, so sluggish, unresponsive, delayed, the animation is slow, it's repetitive, it's boring, the rewind crystals are infuriatingly obnoxious and not fun at all, the megazord sections are boring and dull, all the rangers play exactly the same, the air attacks are terrible, the hitboxes are all messed up, the game is a chore, and no thought or effort was put into how it plays at all. It's a boring, painful, frustratingly bad mess, that just looks pretty because all they thought it needed was pretty sprite graphics alone to sell a game that's repetitive, broken, badly made, copy and paste, annoying, low effort junk that's overpriced for what little it offers and how badly what is there, plays.

0:05 Dr. K: “That is NOT spandex!!”
Ok to be real about Rita’s Rewind, Flandrew
It’s NOT a Follow up (kinda) but more of a “What If” story
Haven't played the game, but the sprites and music seem very reminiscent of the SNES Power Rangers Beat-'em-ups by Natsume
“A short but amazing ride” is how I label my services.
Lmfao
The new patch makes the game more enjoyable
.... How?
@Dizz2K7 too many changes to go over, you'll have to play it yourself
I’d love more power rangers videos

Well there is Season 3 villain
I think the only thing that they were missing was air combos and be able to play without the suit and morph into it once the meter go up
Hopefully, they follow streets of rage 4's example and add a survival mode down the line to bulk up the content a bit.
TIL that all the different power rangers names are just seasons spanning all the way from 1993 until now
Please do reviews on other Power Ranger games/content in the future
I definitely would like to see you cover more Power Rangers games in the future. :)

2:45 BREAKDOWN BREAKDOWN!!
I enjoyed Rita's Rewind!

You're crazy. So crazy that Crazy Taxi feels logical
@@GreekShinobi223 That is why I have my own opinion on many stuff. So it looks like been crazy is not a bad idea.

I'm disappointed because I expected a "Shredder's Revenge" level of quality. It's not there.
The game is a waste how they putt it in words out there mouths it's like shredder revenge an it's not even close to the game
Havent played yet, but will do with the missus

Please review Power Ranger games. I love your videos.
can't wait for the dairanger DLC pack
Hope they release other teams too
Wouldn't that just be a White Ranger DLC since the other Dairanger suits were never used?
@flandrew do you think you can do more videos on power rangers video games
Seems like a common thread in most reviews is that it's a rather short game without a lot of differences between the characters. With how little the game offers, the price needs to be lower. Deep, deep sale for me.
Also tho Flandrew keep it up!!!!! Love the videos!!!!👍👍👍👍
When did this come out
With the dragonzord being in the game you would think it would be playable during the first person fights or the very least include the Mega Dragonzord/ Dragonzord in fighting mode.
Haven't seen a power rangers game since dino thunder, quite a cool game
I wanna see you play lightning rescue...but only because I like seeing suffering
Other Power Rangers videos would be awesome
can you please make a video about old power rangers.
I like Mighty Morphin Powers Rangers: Rita's Rewind
If there is more content update I will buy it but looking that is this short maybe not worth it yet.

LIGHTNING RESCUE, PLEASE!!!
Pretty sure it takes most of it’s inspiration from the old Power Ranger beat em ups
Do more power Rangers
yes please
Seems fun -- but it seems like it's absolutely just 'Shredder's Revenge' wearing a different set of clothes...
was never a fan of the series, though i did like the Green Ranger. too bad you dont get the Mega Dragonzord. I might grab this this I am a fan of Shredders Revenge.

Sounds like id be better off replaying Mega Battle
Is online co-op really restricted to two-players? C'mon, Shredder's Revenge could do four.
Shredders Revenge can do 6 players online.
Ah. More power rangers fan fiction.
Oh well, guess it’s another power rangers game that isn’t for single player gamers 😢

They need to stop making these stupid ass big headed sprites. Did the same shit in Ninja Turtles, it's god damn childish looking.
Cheap af, just like their movies, just like the show. Power rangers deserves a tripple A game, not this ugly pixelated games. Shame
The game is dog 💩 after you get past the flashy effects
idk, why are you asking me?

First time I ever commented my place
Lol. I know I’m cringe

TLDW; it's not good. don't buy it.
