Having worked in LA on and off in the TV and film industry for 20 years, I can safely say that the non-union shows and contracts are practically criminal. The bare minimum for lead performers in a 30 minute program is 6-7k per week, and most union shows' performers are making well above that, especially if your show is a hit. Power Rangers had one of the worst reputations for exploitation, churning through cast members because frankly, they could. It's pretty tragic; they should have been rolling in residuals and had a tidy slice of profit sharing or buyouts from the merch and using their likeness, but nope... not as a non-union production. Saban made SO much money off all this!

The giant monster battles and almost all the Power Ranger fight scenes take place on playgrounds! That's where I would go with my cousins and friends and reenact everything. I hate to speak ill of the dead but here's the truth.
My mother worked on the show for 10 years, from Season 2 on to the final season that was filmed in Santa Clarita until the production moved to New Zealand.
My brothers and I grew up on the MMPR set.
In those days, Jason David Frank was a bully. He was not a nice guy. Many ofthe other rangers were incredibly kind. Especially David Yost. Yes. David Yost was bullied on set. He was bullied by Jason David Frank and Steve Cardenas, who was also terrible on that set to the other cast members.
I'm not going to get into detail, but there were so many terrible things that happened on that set that were never made public. Things that would really ruin the show for some people. I'm sorry but you guys don't know the half of it, and I don't feel right saying much more.

I also did like Rocky but Jason was a natural leader and kind of sucks to see Austin be involved in the legal scandal he got involved in. Oh and as for the beef between him and JDF on set and so on I actually think JDF got pretty arrogant and I don't mean to bad mouth him but he to some degree got really full of himself. I've been an actor for over 15 years and a member of SAG-AFTRA, and I will say this from experience. Getting a role in a show/movie is not as easy as some think out there. And even after you work a leading role in a show/movie it does not guarantee you anything after. Hollywood as they call it, is not for anyone with thin skin and it is actually getting worse since Covid struck. Less and less projects are being produced nowadays since our last Strike last year, and the one presently today with the video game industry - voice acting. Thankfully we have made the industry far more better than it was in the 90's and things like that happened with this show do not happen anymore, and if they did that is why we just need to make a call to the office and they take care of it fast! On a side note, it's funny I used to be mistaken for "Tommy" by the children which was pretty cool.

Wow, I had no idea there was that much scandal! I remember at school in the 90's, all the kids freaked out when the green ranger was introduced 😂 My favorite was both the Red and the Blue rangers.
Blue being my favorite colour and red because I found a broken, discarded power ranger toy in the playground of the red ranger at the time.
I remember the rich kid invited us class mates to his birthday party and we watched the first power rangers movie on VHS, and road 4 wheeler motorbikes around his huge property. I'm not kidding when I say...Bro, the 90's was AWESOME!

I really want to see that movie, hope they don’t scrap it man. I learned about his working on the movie a little bit before he died. First time I had looked him up in a while

It’s crazy how these kids can make these grown ass adults billions but can’t even provide any type of support system when it’s obvious they’re about to spiral

The red ranger was always my favourite and a huge crush of mine during my teens.
I think hes aged amazingly and suits his chunkier frame now a days and i still think hes attracive.
Adored the Pink ranger, but i always wanted to be the yellow ranger!
RIP Yellow ranger Thuy Trang & Green/White ranger Jason David Frank.

I remember when everyone at school found out Zach didn’t have a middle finger, nobody could unsee it. Kids are cruel. 😂

I'm always up for seeing the original crew return in whatever form that may be. I was always a little sad when the originals left the show and super happy when they would come back.

You didn't mention that Billy came back as a mentor during the newest season of Cosmic Furry to the newest team.
