@rellmonshade3241 hyper rpg I think is the channel. You had the blue ninja steel ranger as the red ranger, the actor who played bulk as the yellow ranger. Some awesome youtubers as the blue and pink rangers. It's awesome.
I hate the fact that they lied about Power Rangers available all over the world, no wonder why Hasbro didn't make any money. Zone Locking affect the Games too, including Rita's Rewind. I don't think we have to go out of our ways to move regions via VPN to get stuff.
@@cqmi8712 Actually, it does. Power Rangers and Super Sentai are two separate franchises. SPD even has a separate japanese dub, with the original cast of Dekaranger. That's how it has always worked, even on non-PR toku adaptations, like Kamen Rider Dragon Knight. The issue comes in when someone, ironically, does the opposite, and brings Sentai to Power Rangers areas, because Hasbro owns the EXCLUSIVE rights to Sentai footage there.
@@Ijustusethistocommentstuff they're separate television franchises, but it's the same brand when it comes to products. The branding has to be different (because of contractual reasons, allegedly), but character designs are mostly still the same and Toei gets money either way.
this game technically created two new alternative timelines, since now there's an alternative ending to once an always where robo rita escape into the past, and an alternate beginning to the whole series where the gang fights robo rita on day one. i'd make a joke about how many there are now, but especially with shattered grid throwing a wrench in things, i unironically have lost track of how many different power rangers universes there are now.
So we got yakuza, Streets of rage, River city girls, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and now mighty morphin Power Rangers in terms of if you want your beat em up fix. And really this game looks good and I'm glad that it pays homage to the original SNES game and even the entire series as a whole. Plus I love that they do pay respects to 2 certain Rangers that have passed away tastefully and it actually feels like it's warranted this time. I can definitely see this game getting DLC that brings Lord zedd into the mix because you can't really have a power Rangers game without end popping up so I can definitely see me and a couple of friends playing this together. Great job with the review Connor!
The game isn't horrible but it needs work. The lack of online multiplayer hurts it, and the way the game launched with multiplayer also hurt it imo. The fact that it's also more expensive than Shredder's Revenge but offers less also hurts it.
Also, enemies can stun-lock you if you’re not careful. And (it might just be me), but the hitbox/hit detection for that energy ball when you play “Ganon Tennis” with the final boss feels off. I’ve died so many times that I had to step away from the game.
@@DHRFIGHTERPODCAST I mean if its about fixing the online stuff I wouldnt say thats listening to the fans as much as it is just fulfilling the bare minimum of what they advertised, but I do hope they fix some of the mechanics of the game, personally it felt the game is a bit blander than other beat em ups that have come out recently, depsite it being more expensive
Games booty. Yall got got. I wouldn't pay $20 for this disaster. Tommys got a dick on the back of his helmet for christ sake... Who was in charge of the sprite work for this project 😂
Too funny, it's the screen clearing moves that make my head tilt. I remember in the SNES game it was based off elements, but that was more color association (blue/water, yellow/lightning, etc.). In this case it feels weirder because each Ranger is assigned a different element aside from Jason. At first I thought it was inspired by where their zords are coming out of when summoned based off Jason and Zack's, but Trini and Billy's don't match that. I wish their screen clearing moves were more incorporating their weapons, like Zack doing this Marvel versus Capcom style optic blast from his ax or Trini doing this zig zag wall jump slash attack.
It's weird. I think I still prefer the MMPR Movie Game on the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. You could use your weapons in that one, and manoeuvrability was more responsive. Plus, the 16-bit renditions of the soundtrack were amazing. I'd give rita's rewind a solid 7 out of 10. Needs more responsiveness and maybe some health pickups to make the zord levels more enjoyable.
I think an interesting way to do a 1-up system is doing it one of two ways. Both involving not getting them at certain point levels, but gaining access to them later depending on how many points you get. The first option is to have several spots in a stage where you can find a hidden 1-up, but they will only appear when you reach certain point thresholds. The second option is to have them accumulate, so depending on how many points you've gotten, you will earn a 1-ups at the start of the next level. I like that second option because it creates a challenge while granted a reward.
I think the Scott Pilgrim game would have been a good example. Everyone plays similar enough but different special moves ect.(they might play the same so they can easily just slot in other teams ig) Great game though! Got my issues too. Some more rewards would be nice. V excited for DLCs and Patches
The turtles arcade, all the turtles played different. Raph dealt the most damage, but took the most damage. Mike hit the fastest, donny had the best range, and leo was the all rounder.
7:16 oh this is like the Megazord fights in the Power Rangers Legends DS game... wait, no, this is just NickToons: Attack of the Toybots for the DS! Side-scrolling beat 'em up, followed by vehicle rail-shooter, finished off with first-person mecha boss battle!
They need to put combos in this game so badly. Giving them unique moves and combos to upgrade would really improve the gameplay and not feel like every character plays the same. Let’s be honest we all wanna play as the green ranger lol but other than minor changes the green plays just like every other ranger
I struggled with the Dragonzord fight too , but then I switched to the Kimberly and the Pterodactyl zord, and I barely got hit. I think the Dragonzord's attacks focus on the ground/bottom of the screen, since if you're playing with friends, the majority of them will be on the ground.

Not only that, make each ranger/weapon play differently, Red can be the balance one, Black more durable, having a slow attack but he deal more damage and include his hip hop kido fighting style, Blue have medium reach because of it's lance, Yellow is slightly squish but her attack is fast, Pink is the squishier but she has the longest reach and Green is more durable because of his Dragon Shield. If they want to make it bigger, just include representative from all PR eras. If they do that, i'm sure the game can be one of the best beat em up game we know
A few things to make it better would be (like shredders revenge) theres a level up system and (like the scott Pilgrim game) move levels unlock more abilities...special attacks unique combos etc.
24:25 agreed. That and maybe a level system like the tmnt game. Sure the levels don’t change much, but they get you minor powerups like and extra special bar. What we have here is hard to justify the 35 dollar price tag.
I've been playing the game and I'm having a lot of fun with it! Or... I WAS. Until the Eye Guy Zord level. My partner and I are playing together on the same PS5, and it was a blast until that level. We were on Normal difficulty but after over 2 hours trying and re-trying that level, we had to quit out and start a new playthrough on Easy because it was quickly becoming unfun. And the problem is, it was STILL too difficult when we got back to that level. On EASY. We just couldn't live long enough, dodging the lasers in the generator room seems physically impossible, and by the time we actually got to Eye Guy's pre-Megazord fight we had no lives left. It still took us another 40 minutes to beat it. Then the Dragonzord fight happened. We stopped playing after struggling with that level for over 2 hours again and we're kinda not having fun anymore, which sucks because I was REALLY looking forward to this game. We're on the moon finally but I can't bring myself to pick the game back up because those Zord fights are just not fun at all. Keep in mind, we're STILL on EASY. I hope they patch it soon or something, it's really ridiculous.
I honestly hope this game releases a patch soon bc it does have a bunch of issues that can make the game so frustrating that it starts harming its charm. Also I probably wouldn’t be as sour about the limited continues if we had a chance to gain extra lives. EDITED: The game got a SERIOUS update and it’s SOOOO much better now
if people did multiplayer, is the number capped at FOUR or can five or six people? (though the sixth might feel left out until Tommy joins the good guys.)
a Power Rangers video game review with FE3H music in the background, just makes me want that Power Rangers tactical RPG I never got. Yes I'm aware Chroma Squad exists and have 100% completed it, but could you imagine a PR Tactical RPG crossing over every single Power Ranger series?
I think this project needed more time in the oven. Its all a little underwhelmming but not bad. That said, i think there is a decent foundation here that i hope they build on. The super scaler levels play well but desperately need rebalanced. I think it would have played better too to have only one of the running zord segments. It would probably play better as a single special level rather than a repeated mechanic. I hope they have some dlc with white ranger and more monsters. The best part of the game for me was the street level boss fights. They were all really fun and well thought out. If they build on this with dlc and update fix some of the difficulty spikes and balance issues i still think it could be a solid game.
I always thought the best genre for Power Rangers would have been a Beat Em Up, and I wanted a GOOD modern beat em up game for the franchise, and the last attempt was Mega Battle, which quality ways felt like a cheap mobile game. Rita's Rewind is exactly what I wanted. My only critcism is that I wish it has the same mechanic from Shredder's Revange where Rangers got new moves and combos as they level up, cause the base combo was very basic. And personally, wish there was also option for range weapons. Idk if it would have been broken, but Rangers have blasters with them and every ranger game I played always had blaster, so it felt off not to have that option. However, this game so far has the best Megazord sequence in any power rangers game, cause it feels like you play a mech and not play some quick time event (cough, Mega Battle, cough Super Legend).
0:18 no lol ofc it’s gonna continue they’re just gonna wait until spd passes since it takes place next year canonically and they gotta work out what’s next
I always wanted a MMPR where you could play as the Zords individually before forming the megazord, this game half delivers it, but i'd prefer if they kept the side scrolling for the Zords section.
I wish this game would use purple for all of the Black Ranger's visual effects; basically, ultra violet light. The color black isn't within the electromagnetic spectrum; and using shades of grey is just low levels of white light.
@16:00 the dragonzord doesnt use that move, right? Meh Jet/Bird Garuda from Jetman is 10x better then the dragonzord. If ya havent, you got to watch Chojin Sentai Jetman. Make a review, like you did of the MMPR series stuff. (cause i love your vids) as well as play the Famicom Jetman game. it's pretty good IMO
The walkie talkie for Angela is an item from the BOOM Power Rangers comics or from another series of comics I don't remember quite well. I don't know if there are more items related to the comics. I could not recognise all the items since I only like to watch the episodes where all the original cast is participating.
i find it admirable that the devs actually decided to bring back monsters that hasbro wouldn't even do for the overly loving obsession of mighty morphin. turkey jerk hasn't appeared anywhere else in the franchise outside of the episode and a obscure tiger electronics LCD game.
Unable to purchase due to region restrictions Power Rangers is content that people around the world like and love. Why are there regional restrictions? Why can't I buy it in Asia? There is a region lock on the Steam page. I don't understand 😢
@3:27 wtf are the developers talking about, what were “mighty morphing power rangers” and “Mighty morphing power rangers: the movie” for SNES then? Sure i don’t think it got an arcade cabinet release but it was a sold scrolling beat ‘em up
They named the characters from the first season. It's not Rocky who is named in the dialogue but Jason. Plus Trini, Kimberly, Zack, and Billy. So I don't know what you meant by that.
I loved every single moment of this game! A masterpiece for me 😊 But where is Angela? We saw Mr.Caplan, Ms. Appleby, Willy, Marge, Bulk and Skull, Erni. But Angela is nowhere to be found 😆
It's a cash in. They didn't start the project until after Shredders Revenge which tells me the green lit it because the success of that game. Putty sprites have hoods Zordon looks goofy and they put a dick on the back of Tommys helmet. The ost is off and doesn't capture Rons original score at all. Nothing inventive other than a few sections where they mixed up the gameplay which all comes across as mid. It all Screams rushed and cash grab to me. The only highlight imo is the animation when you get hit and it reveals the team in the chest... that is the nicest part of what I've seen. $35 dollars... thet are surely smoking crack when Shredders Revenge runs $25 and has twice as much content and quality. Ritas Rewind, Karate Kid and GI Joe are CLEAR cash grabs which WISH they could be as complete as a Shredders Revenge.

This is why you never let a game beat you
@Jackattack359 I didn't. That's why I walked away when it stopped being fun.
@@Valkier_Katodoes Martin to do would be look up a tutorial and then just wait until the game gets patched
Awesome Power Rangers game!
The Ninja Turtles cameo was pretty awesome. They are technically canon to power rangers with The Next Mutation iteration in the In Space season
Looks awesome. Too bad that they didn't flesh out the characters more. That would make the difference for a good game vs a classic
Your still making that wacky world of kids WB video right ❤
"Conner: We get to hear the Bulk and Skull theme.
Kid in add: Yes!
I honestly hope this game releases a patch soon bc it does have a bunch of issues that can make the game so frustrating that it starts harming its charm. Also I probably wouldn’t be as sour about the limited continues if we had a chance to gain extra lives.
EDITED: The game got a SERIOUS update and it’s SOOOO much better now
It's still not a good beat'em up compared to SR hit boxes are still too small poor matchmaking it's still a bad game
Am I hearing Another Winter in the background of the video?
Wow, you just skipped through the remaining Disney Era Power Rangers shows and the entirety of the Neo Saban & Hasbro era.
2:34 .... I saw a couple episodes....... I have no idea about anything going on here besides the basic series premise...
You should do a full recap of your thoughts on the game awards
if people did multiplayer, is the number capped at FOUR or can five or six people?
Megazord⚡
Where's my 'Gatchaman' retro fighting game at?!
Holy crap a playable mmpr green ranger finally!!
Certainly not the worst piece of Power Rangers video game we've ever gotten. But boy do I wish it was better.
This game is lit, btw one of the vtubers started their playthrough with minor difficulties but nonetheless they like it
i get the movie wasn't canon with the original series (the original movie not being canon, not that remake), but which is correct? Tenga or Tengu?"
I think one is singular and the other is plural
Its fun but it damn sure isn't worth $35. Thats insane for what it is, wait for a sale/
23:44
The MegaDragonZord doesn't appear either.
I was hoping to see Robo Rita fight Mystic Mother.
It's sucks that you don't get extra lives in this game
Adds to the challenge
@dragonbreathmediamelodies6884 I heard this game is getting a update to fix the problem
Thats definitely a tmnt reference
I might get this but it makes me miss the wild force game I had on the Gameboysp
17:34: "I see what you did there!"
So they have arcade games that tribute sky hunter and test your might!? That’s amazing
I beat the game. Now it’s crashed and I can’t play it anymore. I’ve redownloaded it and everything. It’s been this way for two days now
Would of been great if collecting all the collectibles unlocked something like Bulk and Skull in their joke Ranger forms.
That First Person Megazord is not really my cup tea, I was expected it to be similar to Genesis/SNES games, you know ? the 2D Fighting Style
I hope DLC or sequel means unlocking White Ranger and Armored Red. That would be sick!
i find it admirable that the devs actually decided to bring back monsters that hasbro wouldn't even do for the overly loving obsession of mighty morphin. turkey jerk hasn't appeared anywhere else in the franchise outside of the episode and a obscure tiger electronics LCD game.
Oi, the lantern is important memento! Adam finally got some spotlight :''D
Definitely a great successor to the Sega Genesis MMPR movie game. I had my doubts on RR but seeing this video has helped them all
24:53 she does use her bow in the taunt and each ground pound is unique
Bro got a Marvel sponsor, congrats
What was that song in the opening of the video before the ad?
Unable to purchase due to region restrictions Power Rangers is content that people around the world like and love. Why are there regional restrictions? Why can't I buy it in Asia? There is a region lock on the Steam page. I don't understand 😢
@3:27 wtf are the developers talking about, what were “mighty morphing power rangers” and “Mighty morphing power rangers: the movie” for SNES then? Sure i don’t think it got an arcade cabinet release but it was a sold scrolling beat ‘em up
Beats of Power?
Crazy that the greatest ever PR game is fan-made, right? lol
They named the characters from the first season. It's not Rocky who is named in the dialogue but Jason. Plus Trini, Kimberly, Zack, and Billy. So I don't know what you meant by that.
R.I.P Thuy Trang and Jason David Frank.
The funny thing is that in the SNES game Kimberly can use her bow and shoot arrows! But in this much newer game she can't 😅
Those zord missions are a lot better if you try using the dodge button from time to time. Then you don't have to worry about that "pinpoint accuracy"
I loved every single moment of this game! A masterpiece for me 😊 But where is Angela? We saw Mr.Caplan, Ms. Appleby, Willy, Marge, Bulk and Skull, Erni. But Angela is nowhere to be found 😆
I’m just gonna say what were all thinking, SPD DLC in 2025 please, that would be so cool
This game is lowkey insane
Looks amazing I love power rangers the most thing I love in the show is the monsters designs and the fights
Rail Riders is over.
Video about it?
Play as the pink ranger for the dragonzord fight and she'll fly over everything the dragonzord throws at you.
🤔 i got a weird guess that they’ll remake mighty morphing some time
