Difficulty mode for this game should have an option for "death", so when you crash you die and the game uninstalls itself.
911shotJFK ant the only way to reinstall it is by either:
1. Having someone else do it but you can’t play but everyone else can or
2. Get married and children. Your legacy of your past game is kept and your child has every bike and modifications you had and has an easier chance with teams and sponsors, but you still can’t play it.
I uninstall the game. Now that's game rage🤣 I'll have to try it again.

Good idea but people have survived crashes at Isle of Man tt and then raced again...

I find myself watching an onboard lap of the TT a couple of times a year, it's just mind-blowing how fast and dangerous it is. It's like a 20 minute guitar solo where you have to play note perfect the whole time, except if you mess up for half a second you go flying into a lamppost at 200mph.

Bike racing is full of little quirks like the engine breaking one, so it's actually super fun to watch once you get the technicalities down.
A bit of fun fact bragging here:
Bike racing is super weird to learn for car guys.
Like get this, if you see that a right hand corner is getting tighter than expected you just steer more to the right in a car, right?
On bikes it's the exact opposite. If a right hand corner is tighter than expected you actually have to steer slightly to the LEFT instead of right to be able to take the corner tighter.
That sounds super counter intuitive but it has a simple reason behind it:
You see when you lean into a corner your center of mass isn't above the bike anymore but slightly to the side of it, more towards the inside of the corner. What happens when you start steering right is that your front wheel gets pushed below the center of mass which will in turn snap your bike upright and make you shoot out of a corner. Steering lightly to the left however will make the front wheel go away from the center of mass, pushing it out even further beyond the bike and making your turn tighter.
If you don't believe me look it up, there's tons of video examples where inexperienced riders crash because they don't know what bike counter steering is.
If you explain the physics behind it most people actually get the hang of why that is true, I mean it actually makes sense if you think about it
But then again it's so weird hearing that, it can save your live however if you really need to do it
Michael Schumacher made the transition pretty well into German Superbike racing. He was a very talented guy. There are plenty of F1 and other drivers who own superbikes but yeah, the physics are significantly different. Here are the "top ten" f1 drivers who are/were into bikes. www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/news-and-views/features/racing/top-10-formula-one-bikers
Finkel - Funk well actually when cornering, to sharpen the turn more to the left we steer to the right because of the pivot point on the steering column
Well... counter steering is one of the most intuitive things a person can pick up on. Children do it every day when they go out and ride their bicycles. It may sound weird to explain it to someone but it takes literally no effort to understand in order to put it into practical use. Most people pick up on it and do it naturally without ever even being aware of it.
As far as people wrecking because they don't understand it, I'd say that's a false assumption many people make. People that wreck when they suddenly need to turn more aggressively, for whatever reason, panic and freeze up rather than make the turn more aggressive. That's how I see it anyway.
counter steering?
Fair play to the guy's that do this in real life they just have balls of steel.
11:06 that scared the shit out of me. Lol

I went to the TT last year, I would recommend it to anyone as a trip (even if they aren't big on bikes) just to experience an event like this and how close you can be to the track.
As for bike racing in general, a lot will carry over from cars (slow in/fast out), but you just need to be a bit more aware that there is a far smaller contact patch of rubber to the tarmac.
Finally, bike games in general are hard to simulate, just because a lot of the feeling is missing that you get from being on a bike (e.g counter steering, the way the suspension moves, breaking force etc).
Yes come over to our island! Enjoy the TT atmosphere and the Derestricted zones. One thing i will always mention to people is there is a near zero tolerance for stupid riding/driving in restricted areas, especially near the residential areas and the school zones that are on the track.
Also a thing to note is if youre a fast capable rider on a regular racetrack, this does not mean youre fast and capable on the isle of man. Ask and learn from the locals about areas to be extra careful of. We will be more than happy to share with you areas you CAN go nuts as well as areas you really shouldn't.

As a biker myself, this game has fairly good physics tbh, some stuff sometimes it seems to spaz out but mostly for a biker the physics are predicatable, the hardest thing for me was getting used to essentially not having a weight changing mechanism that doesn't involve a directional change, IRL the wonder that can be found from shifting the position of your butt through a corner to how fast you can take that corner is amazing.
"Hey guys, Jimmy here! Today we're going to see how fast a Norton V4 RR can do a lap around the Isle-schleife!"
8:00 national speed limit for roads away from built up areas, yes in the UK on a single carriageway road (for a car or motorcycle) is 60mph, dual carriageway 70mph.
On the Isle of Mann, which isnt part of the UK (just part of the British Isles) there is no national speed limit
The sense of speed on a motorcycle in real life is mind bending, especially when you first start riding. It's the noise and vibration, but also feeling the air and the sense of being exposed to the environment rather than entirely shielded from it in a bubble like a car. I've never gone more than about 120mph, though. I can't imagine what 200mph on a motorcycle feels like!
You're doing great for video game motorcycle racing, btw. I suck at it. I think riding in real life is easier than playing the MotoGP game that I have, lol.
Do it without racing line😏
Nigga... he’s gonna die
I can totally understand that he didn't turn of the racing line. He has very little experience on that particular track. I would turn it on too
Of he has no practice on that track he may go slow and learn it realistically
Lionel Shepard and then someone would be complaining "drive full speed. Slower driving is boring"
Hey Adam, City bought the Premiership, bet they couldn't buy a TT win...! 😂
What’s crazy is his line was enough off course that when he tried to correct it would’ve been nearly impossible to do in real life. Those riders are a different breed.
The guys at Duke are really nice actually! My dad died in the TT and they were really nice and put a dvd together for me of his Manx win and so on! Also I’ve been to the Isle of Man a lot and lapped the track in various cars but it’s funny as I worked there for a little bit too and as you go round I can see my mates houses and a wall I built lol, at about 4:49-4:50, one of those walls on the left I built lol!
It’s a beautiful track and a beautiful island and I would highly recommend people to go whether the TT is on or not!
The Nurburgring is probably up there as one of the most dangerous purpose built tracks but I don’t think anything beats the TT as the worlds most dangerous race! There’s a right hander past a pink house and occasionally you’ll see a side car riders helmet clip the wall and some dust explode off the wall and on one of the fastest lefts on the track there’s a lamppost mid corner and if you watch from there you’ll see some of the ballsier riders lean in for the corner and they have to slightly move their head out the way from hitting the lamppost!
It’s an insane track but it needs to continue! I find F1 completely boring but stuff like the TT is nuts and I can see why people can’t resist! I think an element of death has to be present which has basically been stripped from F1! They’re just celebrities driving around in computer controlled billboards these days!
real A Z A R thanks dude 👍🏻
really sorry to hear about your father, im sure he was a really good driver. Really amazing info youve shed here though, thanks for sharing man
obesekid69 thanks man I appreciate it! Yeah he wasn’t bad, he won the Manx which is the same race, just on older bikes, but once you compete in the TT you can’t go back to the Manx, so after he won that he did the TT senior race which is the 1000cc bikes! It was a while ago but yeah of course it sucks but at the same time, no racer would ever want the sport they loved to die with them and if anything I’m even more adamant that it shouldn’t be stopped! If anything it would be more of an insult to him and all the riders who have died and those that haven’t, to stop the TT because then they died competing in a race that’s now irrelevant and their times etc wouldn’t mean as much when fellow riders and racers can’t test themselves against your best times and so on! He was a grown man and knew the risks but could have just as easily died on the way there really! And it’s not as dangerous as some people make out, thousands of people, my dad included have lapped it thousands of times if not more, it just has a very high price for mistakes or malfunctions on the quick parts but it’s not like half the riders don’t make it back! And I can honestly say that he would rather have gone out to a high speed crash on the TT over getting motor neurone and wasting away or something like that so yeah it’s cliche but he did die doing what he loved so there’s worse ways to go!

Yes bikes slide both tires, and yes that often means you are going down.
A rear slide is manageable, but once that front locks up you are almost always fucked, unless of course you race and have godlike reflexes.
well, the bars actually compensate by themselves, the trick is to relieve the pressure on the bars in the right moment and let the bars do what they try to do, which is to straighten the bike, almost like drifting in a car...
This. Bikes are pretty decent at self correcting. I've had some slides at the track that made me nearly dye my suit brown. The front tire is scarier than the back. Let the steering and suspension steer and suspend.
I've never seen a bike slide both tyres. You can ride by deliberately sliding the rear, a skill common with riders that grew up on flat dirt tracks (common among American riders such as the late Nicky Hayden). The front is another story because when the front washes out 9/10 times you will be visiting the gravel trap.
i remember over the last winter when the roads were all iced up I went out on my bike (a honda xl) i went round the roundabout and completely lost control of the steering. both the front and back where sliding. I just relaxed, relieved pressure on the bars, letting them do their own thing save for a few minor adjustments to ensure i could get off the roundabout. It's really something else when your not used to it hahahaha, but after a few times dealing with it its not that bad.
You should show us a irl onboard video from the isle of man tt during one of your streams, it would be awesome!

On a more sombre note -
10:59 - poor Bob did die there. God bless.
14:37 - that time came in the early 70's. Can you imagine it hadnt tho and if IOM was on the Motogp calender?!?
A few tips for riding motorbikes in general:
-never use front brake on a turn, it's only for straights and mild turns,
-while turning use only your back brake and don't overuse it,
-while straightening up you can give the bike more throttle because you are pushing your wheels to the ground more,
-because of that late apexing is pretty improtant,
-the racing line is very similar to cars generally, really smooth and wide, using every bit of the track.
Hope that helps a bit.
Correct me if I made any mistakes.
Coming in for those corrections.
-Front brakes are most efficient when trail braking i.e hard braking and slowly trailing it off all the way through corner entry until you are back on the throttle (note* NOT up to the apex. You can be back on the throttle before the apex and you really want to be back on the throttle the moment you have finished your steering input). Trail braking loads the front end and increases the contact patch of the front tyre while stabilising the chassis. Coasting (no throttle and no brakes) upsets geometry and suspension; ideally you want to be braking and as soon as you finish trailing, get back on the throttle to transition the weight back to the rear.
-Rear brake can be used to stabilise during hard corner entry and to keep the rear end in check under hard acceleration while picking up on corner exit. It's very much a preferential option.
-Throttle, lean, and brakes all borrow from a dollar. If you are spending 90 cents of throttle then you can only spend 10 cents on lean etc. So for every cent you take back from lean on corner exit the more you can spend on throttle. If you know what you're doing you can damn well near full throttle a modern litre bike while still at 50 degrees of lean so long as you are beginning to stand it up for corner exit and know how to modulate power slides.
-Late apexing is for litre bikes where they can square the corner off and then make use of their power to straight line the exit
-Racing line is different depending on the class of bike and riding style and geometry. Lower powered bikes will generally favour high peak corner speed by keeping the race line as smooth as possible to keep corner speed up to compensate for their lack of power. A more powerful bike will generally benefit from squaring off corners and late apexing due to their power advantage; this however is not always the case as depending on chassis and rider, corner entry can be the strong suit etc; I myself am strong on corner entry so carry a lot of entry speed and the aim to square the rear by sliding the exit.
Jonieryk2 what setting do you use struggling to find a good balance on expert at mo separate brakes etc but more towards the braking balance dead zones etc
Jonieryk2 straight turns... Let that sink in
Jonieryk2 I ride in real life and games I rarely use any breaks your better off just downshifting its harder when in the game because of depth perception not really being there in game but better when actually riding in real life
@@MT--WesleyCrumblebee @Jonieryk2 Absolutely agree with those corrections, as far as I can follow them :) Man was it a revelation when I started trail braking (note: I'd consider myself a low-to-average skilled rider, still learning to cope with a fairly decent sport bike, on public roads only so far). I was taught the same "never use the front brake" mantra as well. What I found to be the core of the matter is: Never just pull the front brake during a turn. That'll mess up the balance quickly and lead to big problems. But if you keep that front brake engaged during your turn just a little bit, it'll be VERY beneficial to your cornering, as it actually decreases the wheelbase from the forks getting pushed in - which makes the bike more willing to turn. Also, if you don't overdo it and you are steady about it, you can actually slow down during a turn quite a lot using the front brakes, which very much increases your margin of error for misjudged corners, suddenly appearing obstacles etc... The rear brake on the other hand is what I personally can't deal with quite so easily, especially when approaching a corner. A slightly harsh downshift while braking (yes I do blip the throttle and try to be smooth on the clutch, no auto-blipper on my '99 SRAD750 though) usually leads to a slide for me, and it's usually the last downshift that does it the most. So I actually shy away from the rear brake for cornering more and more. Should probably concentrate more on getting smoother, but it feels like the rear brake doesn't do all that much compared to the fronts anyway...
Safe riding!
11:00
Jimmy the siding is the rear brake
We drag the rear wheel to create more stability especially at low speeds

I’ve competed numerous times in superbike racing and i can tell this this is a pretty decent representation of the Isle of Man Point Race
12:25 that hopping can happen, hard to say what caused it in that scenario but in a perfect world it usually happens under 2 scenarios - esxcessive engine braking, or a smidge too much throttle out of a corner..
I live over here and the detail in the game is spot on!

Had a friend with an 1800 Hayabusa. His rear brake locked up at around 130mph. He wasn't wearing a helmet. He was in shorts and a t-shirt.
He is lucky he's still alive. He spent a month and a half in the hospital with road rash, mostly severe, over 75% of his body. Amazingly, he only had a small scrape on the side of his head.
I remember going to see him in the hospital a few times. Covered neck to toe in gauze.
You're taking some risks with that kind of power on two wheels. I had an 1800 VTX for awhile, and it was crazy how easy it could get away from you
Soon as I started thinking wow he hadn’t crashed yet he flys into a tree 😂
To stop over steering you need to turn slightly left on a right once you're in the corner proper, same a left, only right on that, obviously. It sounds counter intuitive, but it works, I couldn't tell you the physics. Bravest/craziest/best racers in the racing world.
Not connected to the TT Time Trails, but your comment of not applying car skills to bike made me instantly think of John Surtees (legend) and how he made the crossover from bikes to car.

As a car fan, huge respect to the dudes doing the TT Isle of Man. Must be scary as hell doing that.
This game is awesome, I’ve been round the circuit enough times to know how realistic it is. The physics are pretty good too. The only downsides are, not enough riders to choose from. You should be able to ride as Joey Dunlop or all the great riders on two strokes classics etc. Not enough choice. Apart from that it’s a 10 in my book
Thanks to u covering this thinking getting it.
My granddad helped build the norton F1 I never got chance to meet him unfortunately
They needed cleaners and caterers
You mentioned that the physics don't make sense and that the bike will sometimes slide horizontally at low speed. I can assure you that this actually happens. I've been on my bike at 30-40mph and a side wind has blown me at least a foot off course without any input to the handlebars.
On a side note the riders at the IOM TT are the unsung gods of the Motorsport industry. It takes a special kind of nut to do what they do and whilst I enjoy Moto GP those riders wouldn't stand a chance on the Snaefell mountain corse. In contrast I'm not sure folk like Michael Dunlop or John McGuinness etc would be as competitive in Moto GP. Circuit and road racing are quite different beasts.
Essay over, great video Jimmy.

Not banned ftw!
Well done! Riding a bike is so much more physically involved than driving a car. To steer, for instance, you use your body much more than the steering rod, so simulating it will never be as close as a simulated car. In a car sim you can be "reactive" and catch slides and lift off when you get understeer, but that would be impossible with a realistic bike simulator, you'd simply never feel it in time and even if you did, you can do nothing because those situations are always solved with body movements. Seem like a good compromise in that game though.

High speed in vehicles scares me. One of my biggest fears is going really fast, trying to turn, losing grip and sliding uncontrollably. I think it stems from the fact that going to fast, (on a bicycle) slipping on gravel and falling, giving myself a concussion.
Can you lap TT with a Ford Model T?
Ain't nobody got time for dat
Marc Higgins also did a lap in a Subaru a couple of times. Worth watching.
Its public roads for fifty weeks of the year you can lap it on foot if you want but nothing beats doing it for real on a bike during TT week, cars don't really cut it in the same way.
Tom Hey but I got time to lap the Isle of Man with the Chimera
Petoyusa-dono it would take to long but you could do the TT in the Audi TT pretty quick I reckon
This game is not for the faint hearted. I love it and i cannot wait for the 2nd one this year, ive done it in 17 minutes
I'm still very disappointed in the sound design of the game. When comparing the sound of the bikes with actual onboard footage, you can tell the bikes are too low-pitched and don't properly scream when you wring them out.
good looking lap mate! little details to add. The white sign with a black line through it means 60/70mph in the UK, although they are known as de-restricted. the national speed limit was introduced due to jaguar testing the E-type on the M1 motorway (allegedly). the isle of man though is still de-restricted, ie. no speed limits.
Can we agree that RUclips will kill itself at this rate and start considering an alternative to migrate to? Or at least prepare ourselves for a time when people will drop off the platform en masse.
V I agree. I think the only reason that people haven’t dropped RUclips is because it has the best revenue. Other than that it’s trash

As a motorcycle rider and a big fan of this game couple of top tips, set up for individual breaks pile on in the front then onto the rear before releasing both feathering the back brake to pull you tighter into the corner. Also if you need to go wider give it a bit more gas and if you need to get the bike upright out of a corner use the stick a little and use the gas to pull it upright (the engine acts like a gyrasocope) also you can go a lot quicker through corners and lean over further than you would imagine.
I crash like 20 times during a full lap. I use a keyboard.
Love this game.
If you play on keyboard does that mean you can only either full throttle or no throttle?
Jesus the sense of speed this game has to offer is amazing
As a manx man I approve of this game!
Fellow Manxie chipping in, quality game.
This game needs VR to really get that 300+ kmh feeling in nothing but a leather suit
So when cornering you brake before the corner and can hold the brakes but slowly release them as you lean further down. When off the brakes you should be rolling on the throttle to provide grip to the back tire. Coasting should never be done

I'm really torn with this game. I ride a bike and want some similarity to real life, so if I could get a similar control method for the sim I'd go for it, or if I could use my wheel, but I'm not going to buy it if I can only use a controller or joystick.
Buy GPbikes , it has very realistic physics, miles ahead of this game in terms of physics. The demo bike is pretty bad but all modded content in the full game is pretty good.
I have some other RUclips dim guy using a quite new ,maybe even a proto type bike controller , handle bars and foot gear shit and rear brake set up , but not sure how it works , riding any bike is about shifting waight around and leaning towards turn , so the steering system would have to be a little more complex than just a simple pot or digital rotor or Hal's censor , it would also need so pritty advance force feed back to work correctly . But there is something out there , just keep looking through the videos on you tube it's done guy in the UK.
I ride too.
And this game has floaty physics.
The rear end sometimes randomly goes in toward the corner.
And there's no correcting if the rear slides even a little bit.
Don't buy it if you want somewhat realistic physics.
Lots have complained about the odd rear grip issues , and other short comings ,
We can only hope the developer is willing to patch these issues out of the game .
I have Ride 2 but have not tried TT yet , not sure if Ride 2 or TT has the best feel , but on a pad you are not going to get a good feel anyhow .
Kenneth Ord u can have clutch..front brake..rear brake..and shift lever.. Plus turn off traction assist and yea its like riding my brother
even though it's just a game, watching this gives an excellent idea as to why there are so many fatalities attributed to the IoM TT.
Jimmy, it's all about trail braking and getting on the back brake first then the front, and yeah just bang it down the gears, no heel toe
sim725 rev match on the downshifts
And also a smooth rollon for power after The corner, and never let The bike just roll powerless in a corner. That Will not make you any favours
Can confirm, even on a bicycle, if you're breaking from a high speed (30 mph) you want to get on the rear brakes first, then at maybe 10 mph you give very little front brake to get you through, downshift the gears a bit, take off, and upshift as needed.
Tip to tight turns :when turning left, go to right edge of the right lane. And when turning right, use the left edge of the left lane. Makes your turns easier so that your bike doesn't fly near the sidewalls
*O o f*
Was pissing myself laughing at that
Everyone going into these races know the risks. The reason the bike is sometimes bouncing going around some corners is because they designed the track using lasers to get all of the contours on the road. A little bump ain't little if you hit it between 200ks to 300ks and our. You were also right about our national speed limit if you come over during TT the mountain road becomes 1 way. It is nice to burn a good car over the mountain when it is 1 way but you do need to watch the bikes as they will overtake on the inside as well.
He really just said you won’t get the same “sense of speed” going 200 mph in real life
HMMMMMMM
Great to see you back Jimmer - it was such a shame yesterday because it was one of the most fun streams I've seen in a while! I understand if the whole episode will have soured your enjoyment of this game a bit, but it would be great to see another stream on it sometime :)
"the most kills there have been" looool
That V4 RR is so damn beautiful and the V4 IRL sounds amazing 😍
Official Jimmy death count - 7
Mister GiGs It was more like 90 something in the end I believe
By the time the stream ended abruptly it was exactly 80. I was doing the live count during the stream :-) not that the stream exists anymore though.
Mister GiGs Oh I remember you. I was there as well.
Jimmers I've been driving bikes with almost 10 years and you still did much better than me in this game. Can't seem to keep it between the ditches for longer than a minute
Can you show us a rl onboard lap for comparison pls? 🤔
TheSeibi92 not a good idea

Riding tip for you... To turn tighter try not to (chop) back off the throttle completely or rapidly. Through a corner you want to maintain or slightly increase speed to keep the bike tight. Letting off stands the bike up which in turn causes you to ride wider. This is what happens in the real world but don't know if it translates in the game.
Espain me why there arent any motorbike sim hardware.Asking for my lil bro
there are, actually. I remember something in the early 2000s...
There must be ways to do some similar to the arcade ones, but how hurt would you be if you were to crash with '' ffb''
Peak Racer there is! But it's only really available to the big teams, there's a video of Valentino rossi on one, look it up
yeah its like a striped down arcade bike but the screen is attached to the bike
Less wide range appeal, and more variables to take into account. Bikes have a vastly different dynamic to cars. Having a full simulation rig is also much less easy on a motorcycle.
At 11:00 if I understand what you meant by the horizontal slide. If you watch moto GP in slow motion you can see quite a bit of horizontal slide as the bikes go around a corner so I think youll find that this is pretty realistic! Although I cant say 100% since I havent played this particular game :P
Watch Guy Martin's "TT: Closer to the edge".
You won't regret it! 👌😉
Love that docu,insane guys!
Whenever I play this game the sense of speed never ceases to amaze me
Nice lap. I generally avoid these games cause the riding experience from the riders view is unrealistic. Instead of the rider moving when turning the bike moves making it difficult to stay on the best line. On real bike the rider leans and the game fails to simulte it properly.
Yeah playing bike racing games in 1st person is almost impossible for me, I mean, I can play it but I'm really slow cause I have no idea of where I'm going so I have to play in 3rd person, unfortunately simulating riding a bike is pretty complicated I guess, it seems to be a lot harder than simulating driving a car.
I was gunna leave until he said turbo mx5👀😍
