I bought a new 2022 Platinum 8 months ago. ( Good Lord the interior is BEAUTIFUL!!!!),, So far so good! Of course I'm concerned about the new engine and always the Jatco transmission. I've had 3 Jatco transmissions and I've NEVER had an issue but, obviously others have. The engine on the other hand is a brand new beast. This thing REALLY has the power when you need to pass at highway speeds! Never doubt it. Dang, it is something else. Thank you for this review. I learned some things that I did not know. I get my new Rogue on Tuesday and am a nervous wreck I will not be able to remember all these things. I feel like you need a degree in engineering to drive it, lol. Hi great video, just took delivery of 2023 Rogue SL…I was wondering if there was a way to lock the fuel filler door? I park mine on the street and wanted to make sure vandals don’t tamper with the fuel of the vehicle (I know sugar doesn’t go well with gas)
I just got this today for a rental while my 2019 tuscon is in the shop. This car is amazing compared to my car! I’m looking into a new car at the end of this year and this car has made my list!
Thank you for the great video..A couple differences I’m noticing. My key fob has a button for the rear gate. Also, I know that the assisted braking system works while backing up. There are 4 sensors in the rear bumper. My SV front wheel drive has no sensors up front at bumper level, so pedestrian and front traffic aren’t behind recognized. I know that the adaptive cruise control works, but that’s probably because the camera by the rear view mirror assists with that feature..thanks again for a very informative video..
Thank you for the kind remarks. The Pedestrian detection, lane departure and high beam assist are all run from the camera in the top of the windshield. Only the SL and Platinum have sensors on the front for when you get too close to something. Safety Shield 360 is standard here in Canada. The automatic Emergency Braking, forward Collision Warning and intelligent cruise control (adaptive cruise) are all run by a radar behind the front Nissan Emblem. The side cameras have no baring on the safety systems. They are there for visibility when parking.
Your explanation is very accurate and beautiful, I have never found such an explanation, thank you very much, the size of the sky, I have benefited. Continue on this way of explaining, there is no one who explains like this. I wish you luck 👌🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡😍⭐⭐
You talked about how the fob battery will deplete sooner if the fob is within close proximity. I tend to leave the fob in my Rogue when I park it inside my garage. Because the car "knows" when a fob is left inside the car (like if you try to lock from the outside door handle and you hear beeps not allowing it to lock with the fob still inside) ... I wonder if my fob left inside stops "continually communicating" ...thus saving the fob battery from running down.
That’s a fantastic question that I would love to know the answer to,please let me know how that works out and if it holds up. My experience has been that when it is too close to the vehicle, the battery does deplete rather quick.
I have curb parking right in front of my house in Boston. My usual place for car keys is in a LR side table drawer. That was only 5-feet sidewalk away from the Rogue. Now I have moved both fob’s to a drawer in rear kitchen area when the Rogue is parked.
Sorry to hear that! We currently have it as a rental car..... I got 37 mpg driving 700 miles to Miami! That's about the only thing good about it. The CVT with the 3 cyl is crap. I had to put it into sport mode and press the pedal down to the floor in order to pass someone on the highway. 200 hp in a 3,500 car is crazy. It has some good tech but it's nothing more than a good rental car. $32k isn't bad and the Propilot assist is a 7/10. Pretty cool just have to have your finger on the wheel while it drives. Hate that it doesn't have auto tailgate and it's so heavy to close
Coming from the UK and living in Thailand, I recently visited the USA and rented a Nissan Rogue. What an amazing vehicle. It is such a shame I am unable to buy it here in Thailand. I understand the name change to X-Trail, but it seems Nissan has discontinued this model about 3-5 years ago. :(
Just got my 23 Rogue SV today. Beware of suspension clunking at low speeds (10-20 mph). Clunk seems to go away on bumpy roads over 40 mph. Mine has just over 200 miles on it. Turbo/engine is noisy while accelerating. Gotta get used to that. Other than that vehicle is good.
At the 10 minute mark, you talk about how if you routinely drive around with the auto brake hold option ON (which I like to do)...and you then arrive and put the vehicle in PARK, the Parking Brake automatically engages. I don't mind that happening at all BUT what I do NOT like is that when I get back in the car and I'm ready to go, I usually forget that the Parking Brake is ON and I can't go! until I depress the brake pedal and manually push down on the Parking Brake button to allow me to back up or go forward. Aargg. I was hoping that there was a SETTINGS option to allow the Parking Brake to pop off when I put the car in reverse or forward.
My experience has been that if your parking brake engages from the auto hold, it will automatically release when you put it in gear and press the accelerator.
1. This is amazing. Like you literally are so clear and so simple with everything. Question. When auto hold is on, are you able to still drive? Because I did that today and auto mode was able to stay on. Is auto mode the same as the parking break? Thanks and is it okay to be on while driving? Thanks!
I just purchased my Rogue SV last night. This tutorial was very helpful. The dealer didn't tell us about the auto stop feature at red lights and I noticed you didn't mention it here. It was alarming when it first happened. Is that not a standard feature?
Is the top view camera not available in the Nissan SV non premium? I got the front wheel drive model only.. when I do reverse, only 1 camera mode available?
I have a 22 Rogue, really impressed with it. Can anyone advise on how to reset the trip odometer? The owner's manual tells you what it is, but not how to reset it to zero!
Great tutorial, but is the surround view 360 cam system STANDARD again on the 2023 SV trim? I know the 2021 SV included it as standard, but my 2022 SV does not have the 360 camera.
Is that camera angle on the rouge platinum? I just got the Rouge SV but my camera feature doesn’t do that. But love all the features but miss cargo storage.
I have a wish list that is important. Automatic or remote lift gate. Comfortable seats. Do the rear seats recline??? I have a Murano and the seats are too hard and uncomfortable.
Same here. Mine doesn’t have that round mode selector either, it’s a switch instead. I am only 10 min in and a lot of this stuff doesn’t apply. Is this Rogue a different trim or maybe it has all the packages on it? I bought mine used and it doesn’t seem to have much.
Great vid thank you. But I have one question. I just bought a 2022 rogue sv and traded my Mazda. What I was wondering if I’m able to walk Away and my door auto lock instead of pushing the button on the door to lock? Reason I ask is because my Mazda was like that, as I walk away it would auto lock.. is there a feature in this car that I can change it because when I get out I have my arms full most of the time and uses my body to close the door.
As Sylvia has been so kind to reply with, those are for manual shifting. I find it the most used coming down a large hill if the road conditions have deteriorated (snow) and you want to prevent from picking up a lot of speed
Robert, just purchased a 2023 Rogue SV with premium package. I’ve been looking at your video and I didn’t find the HUD switch. Is this feature located in the cars menu display?
It shows full gas and driven 68 km and in this gas you can drive 764 kms. But after driven 200 kms it will start giving fake readings. After 250 kms driving it will start saying 500 kms driven..
The Distance to Empty will be dependent on your driving habits. If you are doing a good mix of city and highway, and not hard on the gas, you should get similar numbers to what are shown in the video. Individual driving habits will change that number
It is a capless gas tank. There is no release, simply push where the gas cap is. As for the trunk release, unless it is the midnight with the power liftgate, it must be done manually from the back of the Rogue
