How about a limited run of G&D? I'm not American and don't run American outline, but when your age starts with a 7. John Allen inspired me and got me going in the hobby. I can't afford anything new now and the shipping would probably triple the costs, but I am guessing a fair amount of US hobbiests might be interested, especially us grumpy old farts 🤗

Rapido trains really did this... Now they have a Historical society for Via rail. They do a lot of stuff for N scale and Ho plus the British OO scale. I have a few of their passenger cars and they are amazingly well detailed .
How to make $1mil with a model railroad business? Start with $2mil. :) One thing that is important to remember is that a lot of people from these smaller companies also have day jobs. And they are doing it for the love of the hobby.
