Good walkthrough showing off the exhaust, I have an MK7 with this same catback and catless downpipe, love the little bit of extra rasp. Def will share this video in groups where people want to find an exhaust.
More people hopping on the xforce train, honestly the best bang for the buck imo. Prices have been climbing though, I noticed the price has gone up significantly since I bought in 2020.
I hope you see this in the near future but I plan on getting this setup and I was wondering what kind of downpipe do you have and do you pass emission and smog test in it
I have the cts catted downpipe. All my mods from this video are in the description. I’m in Illinois and I pass emissions no problem. You do have to solve the CEL when installing the dp through a tune. Not sure if I ran catless that it would be the same but I have no legal troubles with the car! We’ll worth the money on this setup. I love it!
There are definitely points where there is drone, especially in the low rpms and higher gears when you begin to accelerate. I often keep the valves open but closing the valves brings the sound and tone very close to stock.
Pretty much only with the valves open. Might be different if you have stock downpipe and the resonator on. Essentially I have a catted dp into nothing. No resonator on my car.
How many miles on the clutch? I have a '15 GTI running APR stage 1 but im going stage 2 next month. Going with Unitronic because APR doesn't do stage 2 anymore.
Don’t think I understand the question. But when the valves are closed. It sounds very similar to stock. When open it screams with a loud but very deep tone.

Appreciate the support! Very nice affordable setup and sounds amazing. I’ve been thinking about swapping out my cat to catless to see how it sounds.

i have the same setup but in a 6mt, do you get a lot of drone over 3k?

I see most people saying they can’t have the valve 100% open. Any issues with that so far?
Not sure. With the pops & bangs on, even if they weren’t fully open I’m sure they are now lol.
the drone is mainly with the valves open?

This video gave me a semi
Love the gti! What wheels are you on brutha?
Rotiform FLG 19x8.5 +45 trying to go for that not so common “euro spec”
Hey how did you turn on/off your pops and bangs?
When you put it into sport mode they turn on. When you put it into regular they turn off. It’s really nice to be able to turn them off.
@@bimchers6643mine doesnt do that they are on even if i'm not in sport.
@@kylenash3778you need a tune for pops and bangs

Still on stock clutch, about 15k with stage 2 tune and it still is more than reliable. Planning on new clutch when the big turbo comes in haha
do you think the muffle or the valve part pretty low?
