I was 20 when skyrim came out ; I'm 30 now and no elder scrolls 6 yet 😭
i was 14 when skyrim happened.
I was 24 when Skyrim released.. I'm 37 now. I think I'll be in my 70s when Elder scrolls 7 releases.
Since skyrim was released, i have got married, bought a house, and had a kid that is now 6.
The fact that Bethesda thinks that waiting 15 years between release is an appropriate way to manage a franchise confuses me.
Man I got married had my son who’ll be a year in a little more than a month and in the process of looking for ways to save more for a home. While waiting for elder scrolls 6, my wife truly want me to have it.

I was 12 when Skyrim was released (for the first time) and have since been to rehab, gotten a full time “big boy” job, gotten married, had 2 kids, and bought a house.

Year after skyrim was released I started kindergarten and next year I graduate high school.
I was in first grade when Skyrim came out, but didn't start playing until 2 years later and. I've been waiting fpr elder scrolls six for SO LONG that i have now graduated high school and also have finished my first year in college💀

I looked it up because I was actually interested in knowing whether its true but I cannot find a single study that shows video games diminish your dopamine receptors. Playing video games obviously releases a lot of dopamine, but so does just about anything else you do on a daily basis (Eat, work out, etc.). The only way I could see gaming diminishing your receptors is if you are genuinely so addicted to games you become desensitized to the dopamine increase, and I seriously doubt the average gamer experiences that.
Your argument of "It takes time you could be investing in improving" is one I've always particularly disliked because it makes no sense:
Do you visit your family? You could have used that valuable time to work out instead.
Do you cook your food? You could have ordered food instead and saved a lot of time for productive activities.
What you are saying is that you are essentially not allowed to have fun if that fun doesn't have an immediate benefit on your life, which is a bit silly and undermines the point of a hobby.
I also think you have a very weird view where you think every person playing games is a weird loser who does absolutely nothing else. You mentioned some things you consider producitve.
I work out, I grow my own food (not a lot since I only do it in my backyard but still), I read books. Hunting and fishing aren't really an option considering where I live.

@@Kaves253I hope you’re right, but game developers have known what the fans have wanted for years and almost always manage to fall short. My expectations have gone down some since the teaser from when I was in high school, and at this point it could be a reskinned/patched version of Skyrim with better combat and I’ll play the shit out of it.

I am praying that Bethesda has learned their lesson after the disappointing Starfield. I do NOT want them being lazy with the next Elder Scrolls sequel. Skyrim is still played to this very day. Please let Elder Scrolls 6 be just as fun years later. Put all of your heart and effort into this Bethesda!
I've still even recently played Oblivion. Will probably be about the death of the series if this game crashes, after everyone has waited so long.

@chrisfatecj426 Why don't you play Indie games? They are better than so-called "triple A" games lately. I own a Ps5 and series X.. but I'm mostly on my 4070 laptop replaying older games like AC black flag, Splinter cell's, since they run like crap on the new gen consoles. Or RDR2 since they flat out refuse to give a 60fps patch on both ps5/Series X. I've played Spiderman 2.. wasn't that impressed for that type of money (lucky I bought it on disk and could resell) The whole Ps5 has games just doesn't hold up anymore.. since it's mostly remasters and remakes.
I was 8 years old when Skyrim comes out and I will be getting my doctorate by the time ES6 comes out… wtf

After all, in Elders Scrolls, it has always been about developing characters and choosing different races, the best thing is the beginning and the fact that you are getting better every now and then, and the rest is just a background for grinding the world and leveling up, role-playing players always surprise me a lot. Skyrim had brilliant caves where you could walk and walk in them, for me I would like them to last 3-8 hours, if only there was one, I had to die there every now and then

I haven't played Skyrim for a couple years I was a sophomore when Skyrim hit the shelves it was so hype it was all the gamer clique I was apart of talked about...now when Elder Scrolls 6 hits I'll be 32-33 my second kid will be born before then lmao well I want it to be on PC at least I hope to God it is worth the wait! It seems like 2027 or 2028 is a reasonable estimate rn I hope it is a lot more challenging, Skyrim is way too easy even on Legendary with Survival mode if you've mastered the game which I did years ago. We gamers enjoy a challenge it makes it fun. I hope Bethesda brings back stuff like permanent Birthsigns, Class, Attributes, multiple choice quests and killable NPC's which affects quest outcomes like Oblivion and Morrowind had that'd be lit af. I also want to see vastly improved combat (especially hand to hand) and overall improved fighting mechanics like Elden Ring esque. Considering Starfield was unfortunately a massive flop a lot of gamers think 6 will be more of the same time will tell I suppose
It will be hard to top Skyrim and many of the other games from the title. However they have a lot of help to really make it another great game. 15years of mods and happy fans still playing Skyrim should be all the data they could ever possibly need to understand what players value and want. I love Bethesda for it’s creative freedom to its fans.
That's why Xbox is one step closer to make a gaming monopoly by not releasing it on playstation etc because they know it will force people to buy Xbox to play elder scrolls 6 and they know people will.

We better have: An even bigger map than Skyrim, graphics being immensely better than Skyrim, more realistic npcs with more quests and side quests, the ability to have a unique character and story path compared to Skyrim where everyone had same thing, upgrades for both weapons and character and overall more fun of a game that maybe includes multiplayer mode
Dont forget becoming lord of a town,castle,having keeps shops
I mean, you might wanna do a size comparison between Hammerfell (Maybe High Rock?) and Skyrim for the map size, everything else is required
@@Daeinyr A rather more extensive character creation system, it was very good in The Elder Scrolls II Daggerfall, it is also important that the environment is more responsive to what race you are playing, for example, I play an orc, he wants insults at me and called me names, the character development tree should also be more extensive, not some trivial crap for a dadgamer who has trouble thinking.
It has to be at least as good as the witcher 3
@@What_is_a_freaking_handle_bro In terms of character development and the ability to create characters, tesas are always better in terms of RPGs, but in terms of plot and NPC models there is nothing to expect because the 6th part is based on the same engine as starfiled, and we know what stafiled looked like. It's better not to have any expectations regarding this title, if you can expect something from the 7th part, because the 6th one won't be able to change anything.
Unless they are making the next Xbox a full blown cpu with no console software locks and a 4090 or its equivalent at time of construction, there really is no need to do so. At this point you may as well get a cpu
In terms of story i really dont care but if the elder scrolls has extended freedoms while being immersive then im happy. In these elder scrolls i tend to play it like dnd and just do my own thing much like most. If the new elder scrolls can provide an interesting world with the freedom to do as i please then im happy.

I feel like having something "exclusive" to a console for sale then releasing it on pc is just shooting yourself in the foot since most gamers who are diehard enough to buy a whole console for one game have a pretty good gaming pc. i feel like logically you would miss more in sales for the game for that specific console/consoles you didn't release it on then the gains you would get from people buying a console just to play the game when they can just hop on pc.
As far as I remember, GTA V was on PS, but only after a long time was it released on PC. why if another company does such things, it can do it like that, but if another company does the same procedure as the first one, oh, you can't do it like that, what are people talking about because I seriously don't know????

Personally I dont think Starfield was terrible I do think something about it lacks that classic Bethesda replayibility I can't put my finger on why that is but I beat the game maybe a week or 2 after launch and tried to pick it up again after mods got added and just couldn't I didnt find it fun like I did the first time

But you're probably sitting there recording on a $400 phone when a $40 condenser mic would do a much better job.
Sound proofing doesn't need to be complicated. You can achieve a lot just by wrapping a pillow/blanket around the side of the microphone if you can't put something up on the walls.

A compelling narrative, like seen in Witcher 3. I hold that as the standard for any open-world (or semi-open world) RPG. Without a narrative, it becomes little more than a boredom simulator.
The Witcher is not an RPG and has a worse open world than Skyrim. Another thing is that it has better combat and a better main story.
@@l0y3lg45 Let's also add that Geralt is already a monster hunter, we are only playing his linear plot, which was written in Sapkowski's books, we must add that we do not create characters, and the character development itself is very mediocre, I guess people didn't see what system was already in Daggerfall itself was something that had everything in common, it was called character creation and a real RPG game.

Elder Scrolls has always been on PC, so yes it will be on PC and Xbox.
It would be a bad idea if Bethesda delayed the PC release because the modding community has played a massive role in allowing Skyrim to remain a cashcow for over 10 years. Modders are essentially a massive unpaid development team and mods are developed on PC.

It's a horrible business practices to have game exclusives. Provided the computer, or game consul can handle the games specs, your only taking money out of your pocket by making sure you can only sell copies to people with your platform. It isn't "we sell more xbox's", it's actually "selling less games" in the end. People who like computers, keep to computers, people who like Sony, or Microsoft, stick to those consuls. Just loosing money on not sharing the software.

Here’s the rub. The more advanced the hardware gets the longer it’s going to take to make software. The technology is more advanced but the human creators do not advance in the same fashion. I perceive that a lot of this may be driven by money and sales rather than the actual true art of utilizing the full capability of the system. I doubt that the full capabilities of the current generation of systems has been reached. Also, it is becoming tedious and time consuming to master all the intricate details of games. Games should be an escape from life, not an alternative for it. All this is superfluous and has gone beyond enjoyment. The minutia needed to master these fames goes to the level of specializing in a field in real life. Games are supposed to make life easier, not harder.
I hate to be one of those people, but after experiencing Fallout 76 and Starfield... I don't care how long it takes for ES6 and Fallout 5 to come out, I would rather wait X many years than get another disappointment like those games were. I want another experience like Skyrim and Fallout 4.

The Wayward Realms, currently in development by the creators of Daggerfall, is a promising project worth checking out, especially since it utilizes Unreal Engine 5. It's definitely worth exploring while we await the release of Elder Scrolls 6.

Their recent history with Starfield and F76 point to the strong possibility you'll be right.
It's painfully obvious Bethesda have lost their way, with a reputation based more on games that are over 10 years old than recent.
No reason there shouldn't be a new Skyrim & Fallout every 5 years. They are formulaic, with new games requiring tweaks on the established lore rather than completely original storylines. I understand Bethesda looks to broaden it's portfolio, but it's becoming clear this strategy is at the expense of it's core game titles. The people that remember them fondly are getting old and life prevents them from gaming like they did in the past. Bethesda has produced nothing memorable to new gamers.

Yes, people will play tesa because it has character development and creating it from scratch, not everyone is such a weak player that they want everything on a plate and have a clichéd pattern, you have a hold on you have a monster hunter, remember that other people are interested, not your bubble of information that it has to be the way you want it and that's it. I love creating characters from scratch, or that I want to be challenged when I play an orc, to have more extensive dialogues, that no one likes me, that I want more immersion in the world because of what race I play. I also want to feel that each level strengthens me, like in the game Gothic 2.

The Elder Scrolls II Daggerfall, yeah, and I still haven't seen a better character creation system, or such as neverwinter nights 2 storm of zehir oh man, when you hear the sound from the menu, you immediately think of who you will play now, the most beautiful thing in games is that you can create anyone or an idiot who has little intelligence, which has an impact on what dialogues he has, and your character also affects the gameplay, man, games have become very easy and there are no challenges, they are just a shell.
