  • This video teaches you how to add custom scene transitions inside of OBS Studio. You can make use of the inbuilt transitions to switch seamlessly between scenes, or use professional stinger transitions.
To add a stinger transition you will need an alpha channel transition video to use. Using the stinger option inside of OBS you can then set when the transition needs to take place, and how. It is a good idea to have a few frames where the entire screen is covered to ensure that your transitions work smoothly.
OBS scene transitions can be used while recording or streaming. This can raise the level of your production and make it more professional.

For anyone who has the newest version of OBS these are the new steps in a short simple way
    1. Locate Scene Transitions in OBS
    2. The first box where it says Cut and Fit and Add Swipe, etc click that drop down.
    3. Click Add Stinger
    4. Name it
    5. Browse ur video files for it.
    6 Edit it.
Side note if u click the gear on the side of ur selected transition in the box u can click properties and change things later on

For anyone who had the same problem as I did,
just look for the Add: Stinger option in the dropdown
    its a weird menu change.

You set up a new scene with your be right back screen, then set a shortcut to switch to that scene
