I miss every second of the 2000's
Me too! The last great decade in my opinion.

He might be the manager
@@ShawnLamont1997 No doubt he was. The emphatic asking for the ID on the R rated film confirmed it.
He is very serious about his job. He can't miss his lunch break. That would be catastrophic.
Well, he knew his personality was being preserved in time, so I guess he wanted to be his best self.
Pirates of the Caribbean and Return of the King were the two big movies of 2003.
sorry Matrix sequels
Finding Nemo too
The first Pirates was great, rest are crap.
how's nobody mentioning 28 days later?! It was even advertised as playing at the theatre in this video. Amazing movie, and best zombie movie of all time, easily
And the latter film would sweep the Oscars!
I drove to another state in 2003 to see a early screening of 28 Days Later months before it released, that summer. Theater was so packed I had to sit on the floor.
What a great memory shared and a sign of that year in particular and era.
Every video you upload is a look into the past... Thanks for what you do!
What a nice comment 😊
well.. America's past seems a lot brighter than its future.
coincidentally 2003 is the last time i went to a movie theater.
Great year for movies. I was at the theater almost every weekend that summer
Including
Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl,
Sinbad: Legend Of The Seven Seas,
Legally Blonde 2: Red White And Blonde,
& Many More.
@@frankietapia8585 lol nobody was going to see legally blonde 2 or sinbad.. it was lord of the rings return of the king, holes, school of rock, kill bill, the last samurai
I saw Bruce Almighty AND pirates of the carribean... and I was obsessed with Charlies Angels but didn't get to see it until dvd
I guess I should go ahead and name the movies I saw that year...
Bruce Almighty
Cheaper By the Dozen
Daredevil
Finding Nemo
Freaky Friday
Hulk
Kangaroo Jack
Pirates of the Caribbean
Scary Movie 3
Terminator 3
X2
2003 was such a solid movie lineup. This was the year my family moved to another city. Mom took the whole family to see Bruce Almighty.
Bro said “lemme go to the car” knowing damn well he wasn’t gonna come back with his ID cause he was underage 😂😂😂😂😂
Ticket man knew it to 🤣
Thats some funny ass ****
i love the aesthetics of the screen showing the showtimes. very y2k
Surprised these displays lasted this long. They probably saved an enormous amount of time when they switched to digital.
the austere digital minimalism of the screen's font is playful in the context of a movie theatre, and arguably playfully alludes to airports and train stations for which times have a more immediate and urgent meaning@@politefan8141
My local movie theater used to have that in the early 2000s also
@@antoniog.7069my local theaters still uses them
You can't find those signs now. If you see one nowadays you have a really good theater
I seen Finding Nemo in theaters in 2003. It was actually at a drive-in theater. That was almost 21 years ago. I wish I could go back to the early and mid 2000s when I was a kid. My life was a lot more simple back then.
Now in 2024, there isn't one summer movie I'm looking forward to.
Don't forget Beetle Juice 2.
@@hollowaang5284Substance-less remakes and sequels characterize this time
They just remake everything now to make a quick buck it’s no fun anymore
We just have to make new memories and make the best of it but I'm right there with you brother
@@hollowaang5284 watched the first one once and wasn't a fan :(
It’s crazy to think that everything is so different now. The world changed a lot in just 2 decades!
In 2003, my father moved the whole family to a different town in a whole new city. It was very hard for me to lose all my friends, my school, everything and movies was my go to that year. I watched pirates of the Caribbean (at least 5 times ), T3, The return of the king (like 10 times). Thank you for posting this.
Return of the Kink was a particular favorite of mine as well
@@grapeape9098 Damn autocorrect 🤣
@@thekraken826 I like that title better 😉.
Damn I’m old, I’m over here thinking… nope this isn’t old enough to be on this channel…. Then I realized it was 21 years ago 😂
The year I graduated high school….
😔 yep. I was 21, and here this was 21 years ago. Sheesh.
yep cuz i'm turning 21 this year...cuz i was BORN in 2003😂
Pretty much all of those movies are bangers
I was 6-7 and remember these times. At least I made it in the 2000s.
The last great year. 2004 is when things (culture, society) massively changed. The 90s-early 2000s will never be topped.
I totally agree, but honestly it was more like around 07-08. The 2000s was surely the last great decade though.
@@Peppersquads early 2000s was great but mid-00s was alright but after late 00s, the iphone annouced, financial crisis and social media got changed and ruined everything for good.
Somehow the wrong crowd was being put into the White House (Obama) and after a year he crawled in, our solar system started to violate its natural order. Now everything feels like plastic and life feels dangerously surreal.
2004 - 2006 were amazing years.
@@PeppersquadsI agree it was around 2007, happens to be when people began getting smart phones, and especially around 2010 is when things shifted a lot.
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was really good. Underrated movie
Really cool to see the 2000s again
Yup. 👍
Yep 👍🏽
@@dream.machine seriously? smh
Long live 2003
Long live the 2001-2009 era as well.
Today is April the 3rd, 2024 and in 2003, I was 18. That was also the year that I graduated high school and went to work as summer temp at a local food processing plant. As I stood there in those depressing production lines, I was eagerly awaiting college that fall. ALL that optimism and hope at such a young age. The world was mine. Oh how time flies... 😮💨🥺😞😓😫 As of March 9th, I'm now 39 and just ANOTHER statistic..
Learn to control your mind or the outside world will control it for you and obviously, it's negative. The power of focus alone will set anyone free. No one teaches this better than the late Bob Proctor. Endless videos here on RUclips, dive in. Or don't and continue to be how you are
Never too late to try something new, and get out of that rut. Peace and happiness to you. ✨
T3, last movie I saw in theaters with my Father before he decided to go start a new family and try to destroy us.
I'm sorry to read this. Hope your in a good place now.
Sorry to hear that. I saw it with my mom at The Mall of America theater back then and I couldn't believe she actually enjoyed it cause she hates action movies lol.
wtf
That's rough buddy.
somebody needs a hug come here
Best year of my life in 2003. Life was perfect. Movies were fun to go to back then. Always something good playing at the cinemas. I saw a lot of them with my dad. He always used to take me to different movie theaters when I saw him on weekends and we'd watch all these random films. They were WAY better compared to what we have now. Gosh I miss those years.
I was born 2004 in christmas, but yes, i had watching dvd based movies that i had my childhood.
Vampire robot is on a roll with these uploads! Please keep em coming! I’m so glad I found this channel, I was only 1 year old at this time.
Awwww 💚🌻
Seeing Pirates of the Caribbean and Return of the King back in 2003 was one of the best moviegoing experiences ever.
What a great year for cinema.
I want to see jeepers creepers 2 in 2003.
The mid to late 90s through early to mid 2000s were a great time for blockbusters.
Going to the theatre with my pals was practically a ritual
Love these theater videos especially in this era! Great work as usual! Hope we get more from this time (if possible).
Damn I remember seeing 28 Days later in July 2003.
Was a wonderful time to be alive and young.
Wasn't 28 days later a 2002 movie ??
Life was amazing in 2003!
Love to see these vids from the 2000s, I was born in 2000 so I don’t have vivid memories of how the world was those early years. It’s nice to get a clearer visual thanks to your vids! Do you have anymore Toys R Us videos from the 2000s by any chance?
Girls looked different back then. The early 2000s were low key the late 90s
Yeah eventhough it was 2003 the 90s still had a strong presence in some ways. The fashion for one. All that drastically changed after 2010
Something this video and some of your others made me realize is that cashiers don't say what your change is out loud anymore. "___ dollars ___ cents, your change" used to almost always be said to keep the transaction clear and efficient, but now that almost no one uses cash anymore it's fallen out of practice.
Another thing that annoys me. Either tapping or paying with a credit card. You don't hear the cashier saying that
A reminder of what we lost.
$7.00 in 2003 is equal to $11.81 in today's money. Tickets are way more expensive than $11.81 today for sure!
The last of what I call "the Millennium Years" (1997 to 2003). It wasn't quite "the 90's", and not quite "the 2000's". Good times. I was in college at the start of that era, and was out of college by the end. Life started to weigh us all down after the Iraq War got complicated in 2004.
28 years later
I’m from Chicago and I am sure the 15 year old me went to this theater at some point back in 2003 lol. Thank you for these videos. Takes me back to a different time!
Man this takes me back, I literally saw every movie that came out that summer in the theater, it was the only year I’ve ever did that too. Good times , great memories 💯
Thank you for posting this! ❤
People were waiting to see T3, Arnold's next sequel of terminator 3, rise of the machines after terminator 2 of 1991.
My friend & I saw this w/ free passes & we felt we were robbed
What a year for movies it was 2003 was a great year
I miss this. Nowadays you can just buy tickets on the app
honestly that job looks like hell. people coming to you back to back constantly saying pretty much the same thing to you all the time and saying the same thing back while tending to money sounds awful. mad respect to them.
I remember going to see Hulk in theaters when I was 8 years old during that year. I had a good time.
It’s always awesome to check back here and see a handful of new clips that Mr. Vampire graciously traveled back in time to record and show us :,)
😂😂😂
I remember seeing Pirates of the Caribbean and Jeepers Creepers 2. Miss these days so much. Before all of the Automation, social media as it is today, and Trend-following
😊❤Wonderful
Magnificent!
I remember seeing 28 Days Later when it came out. I was in my 30's then. Where did the time go?
the fact that so many businesses still use the same software and computers from this era is wild lol. such a nice video! very nostalgic
Bad Boys II 🐐🐐🐐🐐
August 2003 had the best movie of all... freddy vs jason 😅
Best soundtrack album, for sure.
Thanks For The Upload! 🤘🏻👍🏻🇺🇲
Oh man I was working as a concessionaire and usher at the local theater that year!!
Nowadays it's a rare sight for me to see more than 12 people at a time in my local movie theater lobby. Everyone either stays home or immediately walks into their auditorium with digital tickets.
I f'n hate that. It doesn't give me that old school feel if I don't see people in front of me as strange as that may sound. My local theater looks like a ghost town.
I remember seeing Pirates of the Caribbean like 3 times in theaters, I love that movie.
I remember seeing POTC and Bruce Almighty that summer. Good times
I saw Freaky Friday in the theaters with my Mom that year. Total guilty pleasure flick.
One year before 2003, I went to my local mall theatres to watch Star Wars prequel movie 2. This video reminds of that time at my local mall then.
How does this channel not have more subscribers? I don’t understand
i was BORN this year but i wish i grew up in the 60s, 70s & 80s instead😢
I also wish born in mid 80s instead mid 00s if i was alive back then.
My favorite movie The Last Samurai came out that year.
Record what cinema is like from the inside❌
Record a cinema employee ✅
my life friends and I went to see T3 in cinema...what an awesome memory
If you think about it, we are just memories...
I watched Mona Lisa Smile and Old School that year
Sadly, since 2000s, PG-13 domains the box office, unlike 80s and 90s were R-Rated movies the box office.
2003 was 21 Years Ago
Tienes videos del cine entre 2005 y 2010?
Bob Hope passed away aged 100, 9 days later on July 27th 2003.
he's in hell
Now that’s a line up!
I went to see Spy Kids 3 In Theaters
But “Brother Bear” in Theaters in 2003
Hahaha! I remember seeing the Italian job, t3, and pirates of the Caribbean in theaters with my friends from highschool. Lol who knows maybe we are in this video somewhere haha.
Vampire robot. Thank you. Born in 89.... These kids have no idea lol
I was 15 when Freddy vs Jason came out. One of the best theaters ive been in.
Wating for your video
In 2044, "At the theaters 2024" showing BAD BOYS 4 on the Theater's sign 🎥
I saw the hulk, that was a real letdown. Though I did enjoy finding Nemo.
Don't let the nostalgia fool you, this was a very stressful time. Aftermath of 9/11, and subsequently everything going on in the Middle East. Despite all of this, we had some great times, namely the PlayStation 2 and Gamecube. Sadly, we never appreciate eras until decades later I find.
It really felt like the end of decent happy civilization.
Funny thing is people will probably say that about this era as well saying they miss the 2020s yet it was miserable
You know that happened 2 years ago
In 2003 right?
The only nostalgia I have for this time is simply being younger and all that went with it, including wasted opportunities.
As for going to the movies, I prefer the modern convenience.
lol, idk about that. I grew up in the 2010s so i’m not completely sure but i feel like the limited access to knowing what was happening at all times kept people happier. If people wanted to stay away from hearing the news, all they had to do was turn the channel. Nowadays you have no choice but to hear the awful things happening everyday which impacts everybody.
I saw pirates, league, johnny in the theater from these
and now Bad Boys 4 is about to come out, so many movies i wish i could’ve seen in theaters but at least i get to see the modern classics and tell people 20 years from now “hey i saw The Batman in theaters on opening day in 2022”.
Before social media took over everything
Yep
That was a great week for movies in general. I saw Pirates of the Caribbean twice in 2003. Great movie. Never got into the Lord of Rings movie trilogy. Wasn't my cup of tea.
I saw Pirates of the Caribbean in New York City in September of 2003. Regal Theatre, Times Square.
I remember seeing Freddy vs Jason in the theaters in July 2003. Great memories. Was 9 years old. That also is what sparked my interest in horror movies
I can remember the movie theater being busy like this... i can even remember going to the movies randomly during the day. Now it's so dead that I went to see Nightmare before Christmas in 3d last Halloween, and I was the only one on the entire lobby and then a worker came by, and I had the theater ALL to myself!!!
Movie theaters need to specialize in playing mostly older movies often, so you can get interested in what is being played. These movies now are badly written and not satisfying... the motive of the characters are off. But when I saw Friday the 13th part 3 in 3D recently, the whole theater was having a good time and laughing.
They need to just play old stuff and market that. And then have one or two rare new movies.
But it'll never be like this again bc we can watch at home, we don't have the money, and we don't care about the actors enough. Lol
Teller is not playing about those ID's
also 5:29 for the line up ;) good stuff
Movie theaters are dead! Sadly to say.
Yep
Remember after seeing LotR RotK in the theater, and the saga was over, I couldn’t imagine there could be any other movies ever😄 Lord of the Rings was just too epic
Texas Chainsaw Massacre & Final Destination 2 & Pirates of the Caribbean & Terminator 3 & Bad Boys 2 & Finding Nemo were the only good films to see in theaters this year
My High School Grad Year, those were the times 😊
Ah yes, I was 10 years old!
I was definitely in my teens round this time
I took a girl to see pirates of the carribean in 2003... Didn't end well...
I have to say that going to see a movie in 2003 was way more fun than going to see a movie in 2024. There was a much bigger variety and amount of movies. There was movies for people of all ages. Today your typical cinema only play around 20 movies a year and mostly science fiction. I also have a very local disappointment with cinemas these days (from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada). That is the IMAX theatre in my city closed in 2013 and there is no other real IMAX in Winnipeg. I remember going to see a movie about sealife in 2003. Boy do I miss those times that sometimes it makes me just bummed out. And they closed because the mall it was in started to become a popular place for homeless and drug addicts and the mall is just a disaster nowadays. As result IMAX Winnipeg lost customers and money. If you live in or at least within 500 km of a big or interesting city you should be lucky there are still amazing cinemas, IMAX and other nostalgic places that make those days alive these days.
Now everything is all Netflix, Hulu and Amazon watch your movies online, not going to the movies anymore :(
I wish i could see my area from the 90s and 2003. Highland park mi and detroit.
what movie did you end up watching?
Professionals at work
I wonder was The Room (2003) playing in that movie theatre?
Yes, I Think So.
@@frankietapia8585The Room (2003) unfortunately wasn't playing in that movie theatre. Johnny English (2003) was released in UK cinemas on 11 April 2003, three months before releasing in US theatres on July 18th 2003.
