Hi Laura, Great questions! Noise levels are as follows: Compact 4 Stage: 24.8-51.5dBA, Zero 4 Stage: 27-46dBA, Zero+ PRO 5 Stage: 27-48.6dBA (varying depending on chosen fan speed). In terms of asthma & allergies for this size room, any of the 3 models would likely be just as good as one another (all having Hospital Grade True HEPA Filter and Winix Plasmawave). For a small bedroom, both the Compact and Zero 4 Stage would be perfectly adequate and can also be used in other rooms due to their light weight portability. Please feel welcome to get in touch directly if you have any other questions. Cheers, Russell
Hi Laura I own all three and my favourite is the middle one which is 4 stage. I find them quiet particularly in sleep mode. They are very easy to move. There’s a good channel called consumer analysis which has several reviews of air purifiers including the winix.
Hi Dave, great question! Our Winix air purifiers are actually designed to remove cigarette smoke and other harmful pollutants. Remember this will only relate to the pollutants that are in the vicinity of the air purifier unit i.e. inside your home. The air purifier will not necessarily remove the smoke from outside balconies or other outdoor areas, etc, however if the smoke enters your home, they will actively assist to remove same. If you'd like to discuss this further, please get in touch with our customer support team. Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to us. ausclimate.com.au/contact Cheers, Russell
Still not really convinced by the small benefits of the pro to pay double the price of the Zero . I can get 2 winix Zero (150€) for the same price of the Winix Pro (300€) I think I have better air purification with 2 of the Zero's then one Pro, the pro has different filter, stronger motor and a higher filter volume capacity.
Hi there Dolleman. We actually have different pricing for our Australian range of Winix air purifiers whereby the difference is a bit closer (just $90 AUD difference) currently at ausclimate.com.au But yes, we do agree that in some situations, it can be extra handy to have multiple units for that added flexibility. Thanks for your comment! Cheers, Russell
Hi Jesse, great question! Yes these are actually great at capturing airborne mould spores. In fact, they are officially test-proven to capture 99.97% of tiny airborne particles (as small as 0.3 microns). So great for those extra-fine mould spores. However, if you do have an ongoing mould issue, we would recommend first rectifying the mould issue & ideally preventing it from coming back by keeping those moisture levels down with one of our dehumidifiers. Cheers, Russell
I am looking for a quiet but efficient option. I teach piano and use it during lessons I can put on high mode during my breaks, but when I have a student in the room I need to switch to the lowest setting as I couldn't converse easily with small children while we were both wearing masks because of the noise. Is a larger unit on the lowest setting less noisy? how efficient is it on the lowest setting? My room is about 12 square metres. I had been considering the mid-sized model.
Hi there Kelly, thank you for your questions. I have to say that all 3 models are particularly quiet when operated on the lower fan speeds. As example, I use the most powerful Zero+ Pro model in my quite large office and this sits about 2 metres from my seat. I don’t even notice it operating and the fan speed is set on medium. But, for your sized area, I’d suggest either the Compact 4 stage air purifier or ‘mid-sized’ Zero 4 stage air purifier (both whisper quiet on low and medium fan speeds) would be perfectly adequate. Of course, you can also operate at higher fan speeds to increase the turn-over of the air for quicker air cleaning. Here’s the official noise levels for you: Compact 4 Stage: 24.8 dBA (low fan speed) through to 51.5 dBA Zero 4 Stage: 27 dBA (sleep mode), 29 dBA (low fan speed), 32 dBA (medium fan speed), 37 dBA (High fan speed) and 47 dBA (turbo fan speed) Zero+ PRO 5 Stage: 27 dBA (sleep mode) up to 48.6dBA (turbo fan speed) Note: I used the Zero 4 stage air purifier in my bedroom to achieve thorough air cleaning, but I also find it quiet enough for a peaceful night’s sleep. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions. Cheers, Russell
Hello, yes this model is indeed quite similar in terms of specifications and performance, however our version is unique to Australia as it relates to Australian electrical requirements and quality testing certifications. Thanks for your question. Cheers, Russell
Hi there. Sorry about that one Essoess5705. To answer your question, this was one of the earlier of our 'tutorial videos' whereby we were filming outside. So unfortunately that background noise was just one of those unavoidable things. Also, a main reason that you'll note that our newer videos are all filmed indoors. Thanks for the pickup and thank you for your compliment of it being a great overview! Cheers, Russell
How about the noise of these models? Also I want the maximum filtration for asthma and allergies. Should I go with Pro for my small bedroom?

Does the Compact 4 effective for removing neighbor's cigarette smoke?

How do I know I need to change the filter. I’ve used the air purifier for over 3 years but the change filter light still hasn’t come on

Is the small one effectively the same as the Winix A230?

Why is there a nasty hiss in the audio of this video, ruins an otherwise great overview!
