    Just came across your channel yesterday when looking into getting a purifier(s) for our two level house, appreciate all your hard work putting these together!
    I ended up buying 2x Zero Pro+ 5-stage air purifiers which were available in Aus/NZ. Comes with a dedicated, disposable pet filter (12 per replacement filter pack) on top of the standard four which is invaluable with a cat and dog who shed a lot.
    Probably wouldn't have been happy paying $600 NZD each (237 GBP + 15% taxes) but they had a buy one, get one half off so $178 GBP per + 15% taxes seemed decent value.

      Glad to hear other organizations rate this model. Sadly they stopped selling it in the UK a week after I made this video :(

    So funny to find this video has been just published while I've been researching which Winix purifier to get. As I found out the Winix Zero Pro is just fresh out of support, replaced by the new Winix T800. The T800 sadly has an all-in-one filter, but I think I'll still choose the new model for longer product support, phone app and the bin design. The filter is the same price as Zero Pro and should last the same at least. Still, thank you for the Zero Pro review and would love to hear your opinion on the T800 :)

    • @HouseFresh
      @HouseFresh  Месяц назад +1

      Yeah sad timing coincidence that my review comes out pretty much the same week they decided to discontinue. Winix are still good about older filter sales so don't see much risk and much prefer the removal pre-filter you get with this one and the carbon is pelleted vs the fabric of the new T800 series. Will be publshing that review soon.

    • @vlahman
      @vlahman Месяц назад +2

      Had the same dilemma, bought Zero Pro despite being discontinued. Winix confirmed that they will keep selling the filter for years. Was also looking at the T800 but the lack of removable prefilter and non-peletized carbon was a big no for me. Plus I keep it on 24/7 so app control was not so important and the extra gas sensor is a nice addition. Thanks for review!

    They should have never discontinued this. The design is great and it seems like itd be a good competitor to the Vital 200. It just needed a refeesh with app support. Not a complete replacement. Bad business.

    Hmmm. Yeah, if it had more carbon I'd definitely consider it for my next big air purifier purchase. I recently found a nicely discounted Winix 5500-2 on Facebook marketplace so I'll be adding that.

      Yes, it was disappointing to see less carbon. The 5500-2 is going to be a hard one to beat for best bang for buck for a long time!

    Hello, thanks for the detailed review! I can see that your have a clean air kit unit on one of your shelf. I don't have any purifier at my house and researching right now, debating between a kit with merv filters above 13 and a "regular" air purifier. I have seen multiple videos and read reviews, and I get different opinions all claiming to be true, of course. I like the idea of a silent air filtering system and I'm not quite sure HEPA is really necessary to filter fine particles (particularly aftermaths of wildfires, asbestos, lead, etc). I live in LA, and even thought I'm 17 miles from the fires, I know my lungs are sufferings, not necessarily from the smoke but of what is left in the air, ergo fine particles. We are all scared here, not sure how long those particles will stay in the air. Would you recommend a winix 5500-2, or the new 5510, or a luggable 5 sickleflow kit with merv filters (they are more expensive then a winix so I'm not sure what to do). I have a 1 bedroom bungalow, 600 sqft , and hoping to use my unit in the living room, during the day and in the bedroom during the night to avoid buying two for now. I also have jealousy windows so the house isn't completely airtight. Help! You seem to know what you're talking about. Thank you!

      As it's your first air purifier go for the 5500-2 its should be cheaper and has really good value filters. I'm a big fan of the Winix 5500-2 so I am sure it will help you a lot - I have a review on here if you want to check it out: ruclips.net/video/2REsGL_5TEU/видео.html

      @HouseFresh I've only owned a very old model from Winix back in the early 2000s, and it was awesome . I had it for many years until 2017. I can only compare those 2, but the 5510 is sleek and modern. Performance is great and super quiet. I also agree that I also too like how small it is.

    • @HouseFresh
      @HouseFresh  Месяц назад +1

      Performance is very similar based on only tests but they have managed to do well with sound and overall size with this model. Won’t be for everyone but I know plenty prefer a better looking smaller device so can see this selling well.

    This is an odd graph. 8:00. You have some values as being the same, but are different lengths. The media (TV news) does this as a means of deceiving people. Are you doing that?

      Doh this is an error on our part - certainly wasn't meant to deceive! We are getting better at catching these issues before we film but will make sure that the graph that we uploaded to our website is corrected. Thanks for letting us know!

    Sorry for oot,
    Which model have better value for money for "180 sq ft" area?
    Levoit core 300/300s/vital 100s?
    Winix zero compact/zero S?

    • @HouseFresh
      @HouseFresh  Месяц назад

      For that room space, I would be tempted to suggest a slightly bigger air purifier so you could run it at lower speeds and still provide enough air changes.
      Maybe the Zero S or Zero C5 and then you could run at lower fan speeds for your room size and still get a good number of air changes each hour.
      Whilst you would save initially with the smaller devices like those you mentioned, long term you will have running cost savings so I personally think it's worth it.
      Hope that helps, also happy to answer over email if you prefer: danny@housefresh.com

    You didn’t really talk about pet hair which is meant to be an advantage of this model

    • @HouseFresh
      @HouseFresh  Месяц назад

      Sorry, I didn't cover that. I think the key thing for pet hair is a removable pre-filter as it will get filled up more than in homes without dogs and the Zero Pro doe have one. But the most particle filters will be able to deal with pet dander.

      The only one that could compare would be the Coway 400S which I haven't had a chance to test yet. Most of the Winix are lower CADR so there isn't any easily available that you can make a comparison with the Everestair.

      Agree it is late to roll out smart functions. It does seem like they have moved away from selling the Winix Zero Pro and the new range like the T810 and 5510 do have an app so likely these will be the the models they will push moving forward.
