As a teenager, I grew up on the west side of Detroit. I was involved in gang activity at an early age, which ultimately led me to being committed to the state as a 14yr old kid until I turned 21. I ended up in a program-like, maximum security juvenile prison setting that taught us, the most violent and dangerous teens in Michigan, how to operate outside of our feelings. We was taught victim empathy and compassion. Conflict resolution as well. Now as a 40 yr old adult, I understand exactly what Charleston speaks of. Salute to you brother for being bold enough to do it🫡 You’re a voice for the voiceless
