This is the type of music that makes me want to visit the great land of Ireland, the land of my ancestors. One day I'll make it across the pond.
You will be hear plenty of music when you make it over ! In the meantime hope that you are enjoying all the lovely music on our channel ! Beir bua !!
Always the best ever Daoiri and Blackie top song ever and Play thank you Both so much
Hands of magic on those pipes
The pipes (being so powerful) is a difficult instrument by which to accompany a delicate song such s Daoire sings, but not of course in the hands of that genius Blackie. His playing (when required) is so emotive, evocative, and so understated, is the perfect accompaniment for a delicate song . What a rare talent . James Linnane Doolin
Go raibh maith agat for the feedback James!
Lol, he is only playing the drones during the song... Should be a basic skill as a piper
Aye what a melt. i cant play the pipes, but i tried out my friends after about 10-11 pints one night and i could still manage to play the drones well lol
Daoiri being a showman here with the classic one-handed-mid-tune-album-snag-and-toss at 6:20.

Amazing stuff, me ole freind. Say hi to ma and dad. Love Tim jnr.
In Scotland, it was made famous by Derry-born singer Kevin Mitchell - as good a version as anyone's.
Zis is what I call music 🎶🤠♠️🎸🎼🇫🇷🇨🇭🌺😊
God, I miss Ireland.
So does England.
Come home sure
A song made famous by the late Liam Weldon, from Ballyfermot,Dublin.
I often heard Liam sing this song acapella....I think Liam actually composed it....
He did.
Did they knock over the mic at the end or what? :D Fantastic that they carried on
The Mic that was attached to the Bouzouki fell off, probably from all the jumping around, some craic..! :) Blackie actually gives him the nod to come closer to him so that the zouk could be picked up on the Pipes' mic for the remainder..great set
Iontach!
Tá sé iontach
loved the part when Daoiri fucked his mic and had to lean over and share Blackie's. you don't see that in many places
iontach
Why does this come with an inappropriate warning? there's children in the crowd.
Is it the first line maybe offends some...
I have no idea. I've noticed that warning on a few videos lately, and can't figure out why they recently got marked as such.
What is that instrument there? Like a strange bagpipe...
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uilleann_pipes
It's the Uilleann Pipes, the Irish Pipe as opposed to the Bagpipes....which is mostly played by the Scots.
thanks!
Uilleann in irish means elbow, which makes sense when you see how the instrument is played
Liam weldon
Very little camera work on blackie.
So do they put Blackie back in that cage he's sitting on when he's done? Seems cruel...
Be nice now!
Beautiful
