Hearing it with fresh ears with you, making me once again remember how insanely talented they were, and how awesome Plant’s voice was.
I feel like I’m hanging with you and digging this music. And how amazing that era was.
I love your set, btw. So calm and relaxing. Bless you both!

I saw Led Zeppelin live at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, September of 1971. I was 14 years old. Of course, they were rocking hard and they also introduced some new tunes from what was to be Led Zeppelin 4 that came out later that year. That show was unforgettable.

Wow, Lex gets it, yes Led Zeppelin is a live experience, not even video is the same , that is one reason there is so little footage of the band, they said you want to see us it is live, plus good marketing, you can't catch live on the TV.

Live for me would be MSG 1973 or Royal Albert Hall 1970 or Earl's Court in the mid 70s, any of those shows is mind blowing as are many of the sound board recordings that leaked out over time, we would have killed for those bootlegs back in the day. 3+ hours was a common set for them and often in fro t of packed stadiums. Simply the best.

Indeed, they were wonderful live. I especially enjoyed the concert in Golden Gate Park at Kezar Stadium on June 2, 1973, in San Francisco. What a magical day that was, it is on the top of my list of best concerts that I went to along with Pink Floyd and the Moody Blues.

I fought like hell all through the 70's for Zeppelin tickets. 1981 I get them. Out of my mind with happiness. One month before the concert Bonham dies. I wanted to. Never got to see them. I did see the song remains the same. Next best thing.

Lex, I totally agree with what you said about Led Zeppelin. :-) Great reaction. One thing to remember about this song was that it was on the first album (last track). I can only imagine what it must have been like back in 1969 to hear this album for the first time.

Lex, there is a lot of well produced bootlegs of all the years of Zeppelin on You Tube re-mastered by some serious fans. Mind you, some of these boots have been around since the day bc of how popular LZ was live. And they did a lot of dates, primarily in the US. Great concert venues. A personal favorite is from the Fillmore West in SF in April 1969. The best and most exotic 'How Many More Times' I've ever heard. The show also exhibits a nice cover they had stopped doing early and a different song intro/outro for Bonham's drum solo. Thank you again!

I think chaos is absolutely the wrong word to describe anything by Led Zeppelin -- they were so well-rehearsed and played so well together that it's seamless. It may sound like a jam, but everything is on cue and on point. That they could play like that, yet maintain all the energy and spontaneity of a "jam" is what sets them apart from most other groups!
