As an Indian, when she said she despises English tea, it made me so so so happy. It was also hilarious. YOU TELL THEM KATHANI!! Bridgerton is one of the few shows which did Indian Heritage right. It was wonderful to see someone who looks like me in a regency period drama. 👏❤️🐝
@@Cashcash69 I mean historical accuracy isn't really the point lol. It's a romantic dramedy series made for modern viewers, and the best way to interest viewers is to depict characters that viewers find relatable.

I adore how absolutely Indian she is. Like, her culture is represented very nicely, there are touches of it everywhere. And also yes you tell em nothing beats chai
do you have any recommendations for tea brands? i know about chai tea, but not much more. i am from a country where english tea gets the same praise as italian coffee, so i am really curious :D

Ahh the one where penelope gives that weird face when her mother suggests her sister marrying her cousin, if only people knew how common that was in real life especially in the georgian era. We think its gross now but its still pretty common in a lot of countries, lol.
Yeah, we Indians do despise English tea, ironic as it was Britishers who introduced tea to Indians. It's a native British thing. But nonetheless, it's true we do despise English tea!

Exactly! I dont care if he is just looking at plants for 5 minutes. He NEEDS to be in season 3! Good thing there is still The Witcher so I am not parched with Chris Fulton content 😂
I'm an Indian and I'm a huge fan of British and American accent. Especially British. They make everything soung so sexy, even when they're in interviews and not acting their roles!
This show is so preposterous that all the colourful costumes and juicy plots can’t save it. I wish I could just watch it without cringing at the level of make-believe in this show. It’s like a huge mockery.
There isn’t enough black and Indian representation in this show. The fact that they make the Bridgerton family white is messed up. Why is this family white ? I thought the producers of the series would have done a better job with second season. Make Bridgerton black please. Edit: has anyone notice how the white actresses have better costumes than the people of color ?
Prudence singing "Oh Dear What can the matter be?" and Anthony staring befuddled takes the cake here 🤣
And that's the *tea*
Pretty sure it’s episode six season one
And Colin trying hard not to laugh.

I mean it would make sense not to see Indians in other regency dramas Bc it’s based in England and native people to England are English

Did Englishmen really marry Indian maidens in those days of the British Raj?
@@doreentalma4727 No.. it is oniy in these kind of dramas that were made by the British themselves later
But don't Indians also drink tea like the English? With milk and stuff! So how they are different?! I didn't get it.
I LOVE how when Kate gets upset (here and when she's arguing with Anthony just before she got stung by the bee) her natural Indian accent comes out
3:07 Prudence singing: "Oh Dear What can the matter be?"
Anthony on the inside: "Oh dear when will she stop singing"
Actually, if we count everytime Anthony says he's a gentlement on the second season I'm sure the british moments are nothing compared to it.
Agree
we take a sip of tea every time Anthony says I'm a gentleman or Kathani says I'm returning to India.
BUT ACTUALLY THOUGH HE SAID IT SO MUCH TIMES!!!

right?? but for me it was when the prince arrived, my brain was all like SWEET HOME ALABAMA~
Marrying your cousin is not incest.
