Rhinox and Primal were the same size in robot mode, I've been binge watching all the episodes
So they should still make him bigger if we ever get a masterpiece of that character, for the sake of both modes since the generations toy is much too small in beast mode by comparison.
***** Well, it regards to the show comparison they were way, WAY smaller than they should've been, but granted these toys are still questionable in scale. Even so, just from a toy standpoint it makes more sense to pick a decent size and scale all the characters relative to that, rather than make them scale accurately to the G1 characters. A Primal the size of a cassette would not satisfy me as a masterpiece figure. Even with the inaccuracy, Prime is still almost twice Primal's height, so as far as I'm concerned they still look nice together.
Danny Davis Any recommend places for finding episodes of the show to watch? It was a year or two before my time, so I've never seen the show. Played with my cousin's Beast Wars toys all the time, though.
Might still be on Netflix but I'm not 100% sure.
The impression i always got was that Rhinox was a little taller and much bulkier, and searching around i found a scene approximately 2:20 into _A better mousetrap_ which features a long and medium shot of them standing next to each other and rhinox is a little taller.

I used to have the insect, spider and the cheetor as a child. Don't even remember the names of the others but for me Cheetor was my favorite because he was so lighthearted and fun. These new toys look cool, but any kid would get bored while transforming them for 5 minutes. Obviously just a collector's toy.

I've just finally got round to getting mine an absolutely amazing figure 👌 admittedly I'm new to the masterpiece and third party scene as i mainly have the 20th anniversary Optimus prime and masterpiece grimlock. I mainly collect g1's but an amazing bit of nostalgia from my childhood and an amazing addition to my collection keep up the awesome reviews 😃👍
Yeah I think both Dinobot and Rhinox were taller than Primal in the show, but he still looks fantastic with the generations figures! Can't wait for Cheetor too!

When compared to the other Beast Wars figures, he is to scale with all of them except Dinobot.
In the show, Dinobot was the only maximal who was bigger than Primal
I see I'm not the only one who just calls him Primal instead of Optimus Primal. I mean, his first name may be Optimus, but saying Optimus makes me instantly think "Prime". So I prefer to only say Primal.
But MP Dinobot is bigger than Primal, and only slightly shorter than Megatron
Takara makes the best Masterpiece Transformers ever. I wish they'd do the same for the Digimon Digivolving toys. I'd buy them in a heartbeat. Also can't wait for MP-34 Cheator this January
i always found it funny that they land on prehistoric earth (but we dont find that out till later) and somehow adopt the forms of 20th century beasts .......dinobot, megatron and rhinox not included though rhinox does look like his modern counterpart)
I mean... there would have been giant insects/arachnids in the fossil record by the time they land, rat-trap would have had plenty of small rodents to choose from.
The hardest ones to place are Primal and the cats... and Depthcharge when he shows up (idk how long Manta-Rays have been around)

I certainly hope they won't stop to just Primal and Cheetor, I'd be very okay even if they do only the cast of season1... although I'd gladly take MP versions of the Fuzors as well. At the very least, I'm sure we're gonna get Tigatron as a repaint/retool of Cheetor...

Honestly, I expected a "Yessss" moment from Megatron, but beggars can't be choosers.
So happy they did Primal as an MP when I kid I had the choice of Megatron or Primal (Several weeks of chores and they only showed up once in town) Naturally I went with Megatron, yeees. So a screen accurate Primal? Yes please!. heres hoping for an MP Megs and Dinobot... maybe a Silverbolt as well one where the wings work properly?

Good review I became a fan of this type transformers after watching this show.
Batteries NOT included are words that oddly enough I LOVE to hear when it comes to collectors pieces.ZERO Chance of them ever leaking if you decide to display them in a sealed box. Did Takara release a sold separately Jetpack add on for this figure? That would explain that rear tab real quick.
I would love a MP Dinobot but I don''t see how you could get a better toy than any of the ones we have. The engineering would still give him the large chest thanks to the legs.

The mp 38 optimus primal uses that peg in the back to store all his extra weapons.
The detailing is spot on, it looks just like Primal from the franchise

You know, it's always struck me as strange that they have alt-modes of modern day animals and dinosaurs in the same bunch. I never watched Beast Wars (didn't even know the show existed back then) so I don't know if they gave a reason for that.

I'm really wanting to get this figure, I had the original as a kid, but I can't remember what I did with it, and I'm wanting to get the masterpiece g1 megatron, but the only problem I have with getting it from bbts is the orange plugs they need to add, although I understand it's necessary due to legal requirements
