He's a favorite partially because he's somewhat relatable. He fails time and time again, but he holds on to that ambition of his, though it may be misguided.
Yes, the MP03 is sleek because the mold came from an F-15 Eagle model kit. The MP11 is more on robot accurate while the MP03 is more on F-15 Eagle accurate so it depends on how set up your display :-) if you like robot displays... the MP11. if you like fighter aircrafts displays... MP03 :-)
Great Review as always. I have the Hasbro MP-03 Mold with the Third Party Coronation set. I was thinking of eventually getting the MP-11 mold due to the kibble Hips, but I moved the hips onto his legs and it works fine for me. I do love the New Head sculpt though. I ordered MP-11SW and the Hasbro Sunstorm.

This is probably wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to late but, starscream and skywarp are 2 different jet even if they are the same. starscream is based on the f15c/d eagle and skywarp is based on the later f15e strike eagle. 1 is an air superiority fighter, the other is an deep enemy territory strategic bomber.

The reason behind the differences of the jet modes is because they were based off of different models of the same jet. MP-03 Skywarp is based off of the F-15E Strike Eagle where as MP-11 Starscream is based off of the F-15C/D Eagle. I would personally go with MP-11 because the vehicle mode is quite accurate to the show and looking at the top of the figure is very accurate to the actual jet
He looks AMAZING. I wish the cape were connected to the shoulder pieces though, but the fact that it fans out is really cool. I agree that a smirking head would have been a good addition.
He didn't push it in all the way to lock into place. If you notice his head sits up unnaturally high and there is a noticeable gap between the intakes and the thruster abs. If you push down more the body locks into place.
Ahhh Takara really knows how to make their toys. The moment where Starscream gets vaporized and the one where Ultra Magnus is blown to pieces. They really love including these death moments lol.

You probably won’t see this but the pudgy yet sleeker things on the side of Skywarp are Conformal Fuel Tanks, or CFTs which were used on F-15As and C’s by the USAF but haven’t been since 2007 and weren’t ever that common although Israel still uses them. Normally the F-15A/C doesn’t have them like the Starscream mold so this is accurate to the actual jets

no it only opens like that on the ground, when on long flights its fitted with a pole like thing that attaches to a hose from a fuel carrier that feeds the fuel through the nose cone into the gas tank.
The thing inside the nosecone is the radar, or the aircrafts "eyes". From the looks of it most likely a weather radar, dont wanna fly into a thunderstorm for no reason

Just got hold of the Crimson Wings trio, exceptional figures that make this one look like a G1 toy, BUT, I watched this video for the fun of it and ended up ordering the KO of it as I really like the look of him. The jet mode looks very nice and yeah, point taken about the side detail being better on Warpy. Thanks for the great videos mate, daily entertainment 😁😁
I really want Starscream, but I think I'm going to wait to see if he gets another version that fixes addresses the issues of this mold. A more on-screen version of him would be cool.

No.... if the nose flipped open in flight, that would cause the nose cone to be sheared thanks to air pressure (or at least, cause severe drag to the right side of the plane). They actually get refueled near the front of each wing - check around 1:48 of youtube: cn9shDC8BxQ for more info.

This transformer is based on the original G1 figure in the same aspect that he does not have side panels to make it more sleek. of course he is still starscream but hes just basically a masterpiece version of the G1 looking as he would have looked if he was made as a masterpiece back in the day.
While I don't enjoy the gray plastic from this at all, it's very nice that they fixed the whole mistakes that it has previously. Mine broke two parts around a wing articulation, but luckly it still atached to the body... and I really hate how things doesn't match in vehicle mode. To me it is, by the moment, the worse buy I did... In addition it seems that this version cames with the king mode... while the older one had all these things separatetly. U-U

The Sleek design of Masterpiece skywarp is based off of the f-15e Strike Eagle well Starscream looks more like an f-15c eagle

The only thing I don't like about the MP-11 is the face is so dark you can't see any detail work unless up close.

15:22 - Just fold the hip section of the wings up - they tuck evenly under his pulled out wings so they sit running backwards not straight down.

I can get All MY V1s to stand straight up and in many poses...but I look forward to collecting the V2 seekers and displaying the V1s in jet mode.

that's a radar. not a fuel intake, not a gattling, not whatever. It´s the plain's radar. It only opens up on the ground for maintenence.
