Yeah. Her daughter was so cute too. Imagine being a little kid like her and seeing this? I was playing with GI Joe and girls playing with Barbie. Granted this isn’t really a kids toy it’s ridiculous, but one day toys like this will be be a joke for $100 or less.

Unlike Prime, Grimlock is nearly 100% accurate to his Masterpiece Edition figure. Incredible!
And it only costs seven times more than the Masterpiece figure for such loving attention to detail and authenticity to the original design!!!

Grimlocks Transformation has always been pretty simple from the original toy to the masterpiece to the new Leader class they all transform in much the same way.

60 here. Use to watch Transformers while babysitting my nephew after school. Gridlock was always my favorite and I want one to play with.

One advantage Grimlock has always had to other Transformers is that he's got that cuteness factor.
I was a huge fan of the original saturday morning Transformers series and Grimlock was my all time favourite. If i got this Grimlock as a kid at Christmas my head would of exploded out of hype 😂

Grimlock is huge and the transformation is cartoon accurate! Optimus Prime doesn't have that 180-degree turn at the waist. This is fire 🔥🔥🔥

Actually in some versions of the Japanese-based Transformers cartoons like Transformers Masterforce, there WAS that 180-degree turn to complete the transformation

I knew this toy would be great, but I've seen one other review of Grimlock and it wasn't anywhere NEAR as informative, capable, or fun as what you presented here. I'm watching more of this in the future.

@@kingragnork Considering they not only have to auto form from robot to alt & back, the additional engineering to combine and uncombine with eachother I think would add a new level of cost. It would definitely be at a cost no one would be able to afford outside of the very wealthy. Would be insane cool to see though!

I pre-ordered mines this morning, I currently own the Flagship Optimus Prime with trailer. I think Grimlock is an amazing work of art that Robosen put together. So far I'm not sure what to think about Bumblebee as most of us were spoiled with a transforming Optimus Prime. I believe most people wanted to see a transforming Bumblebee as for the ROTB Optimus Prime they probably get a pass as I believe transforming that would've been a nearly impossible undertaking. Robosen is absolutely moving in the right direction with Grimlock

That is amazing! This is right out of my childhood imagination. I imagine you don't want to manually move the arms or legs yourself. For a G1 fan, that's one of those ultimate collectibles.
Tech is at least 50 years ahead..they can only release it in simple forms at a time..

@@ViperBOSS74 She was fine and for the most part presented it quite well. In fact it is a "toy" I think most kids could enjoy both kids from the 80's and today. Granted even the USS Flagg didn't cost close to $1500 in the 80's and a complete one at auction today is about $1000-2000. For that reason I see not much playing.

This thing is AMAZING!!! I really hope this does well. I know when Robosen started to work on this 7 years ago they had no idea the economy would be in the shape it is in today because of bone head decisions by our politicians. I was fortunate enough to get their first transforming Optimus Prime which is still a wonder to behold. Although I did not buy it for this reason, my Optimus is worth more now that when I bought it. Because of the economy and the high cost of components, I got that Optimus for the same price as the newer smaller Optimus. I did not dare dream that something like this would even be possible. The geniuses at Robosen did not only dream it but they put in the hard work to make that dream a reality. I already put Grimlock on pre-order. $1500 is a lot of money but you would be surprised how much you can put aside and save when you cut wasteful spending in 4-5 months when this is released this November. This Grimlock is definitely worth it. Actually, I wonder if this Grimlock is in scale with the smaller Optimus. I am set with my Optimus but that would be a nice bonus for those who can get this Grimlock and the smaller Optimus.
They need to make Soundwave next with that iconic voice!
The voice of Soundwave, Frank Welker, is still around. It's feasible.

Closest we had to that when Transformers was on tv back in the 80s was Big Trak. It was pretty big for a toy, a small utility tank with a programmable calulator style input pad on its roof; rumour had it, you could actually use it like a home robot via a computer and radio interface ... but we never found out, as my brother wanted to see if he could ride it. He sat on it and broke it. So long Bigtrak: sold for parts at the church jumble sale-where we were no doubt hoping to pick up some cheap Star Wars or Transformers figures (or even Gobots if nothing else🤣) to add to our collection! That these Transformers exist like this now is just amazing. But what gets me is that I could see a transforming robot, and be completely unmoved by all the remarkable tech that is enabling this to happen-but the fact that this is Grimlock come to life ... that is what blows me away!

Million dollar idea for Robosen: Install GPS / NFC / Gyro / Tilt / Rumble sensors and cameras like they have for self-driving cars. Then use AI and algorithms to have each unique pairing of transformers engage in short but highly choreographed "battles". Based on the work they did with the seriously impressive Grimlock transformation, I feel like this could be done and would be a mesmerizing sight to behold.
I just love that when it comes to cool and unique products like this, every single one of the ppl seeing and using it all of a sudden forgot to mention that they are designed and made by Chinese companies, but when there's a dollar store budget product breaks down everyone just instantly call it "Chinese"

Awesome video, I mean 9 year old me is in awwe! It talks, transforms and talks. I remember having the original g1 transformers, but wow this is amazing. And its Grimlock, so good. lol . 1500 for me is a bit steep, but still you have to appreciate what they did here. I mean one day robots will take over but lets appreciate this hehe.

I was always more into Slag (or Slug for you guys across the pond), but I always thought that the '80s Marvel comic book series version of grimlock and the dinobots were the best versions of these guys. In terms of backstory and personalities that they had. Cartoon I thought was kind of a simplified or dumb down version of the characters and backstory. One thing that I enjoyed as a kid when I used to buy these when they first came out was reading the BIOS because if you stop and think about it, besides GI Joe, it weren't that many series that did that part of that, and I think that's what made the Transformers so popular was the depth that they went into the character creation and mythology. School that they transform, but it's the complexity they made it so cool. I'd love it if they would make a Hound.
Back it the day here in the UK he was also called Slag, only recently he changed name I believe, because the word slag can mean "wh0re" lol
I share Bridget's enthusiasm the first 30 secs after seeing the transformer actually transform! Hot dog! If only the 80's kids could have had these transformers back then. Not going to lie, im alittle jelly for our current kid gens receiving these toys. I mean after passing its monster price tag of course.

Truly amazing. The amount of work in this must be insane. I'd love to see a large Omega Supreme transformer. Or maybe even something like devastator where the various bots come together. It would be a challenge bit if they pulled this off.

big plus on robosen's grimlock version is that it really looks like his masterpiece toy. the optimus prime is robosen's own take so he doesn't look like the toy at all
