Dang I won’t make it next weekend! Probably just surf until more snow comes. Might try big bear mid week. I’ve done scenic loop a couple times. Don’t they close it later in the winter though after some heavy storms? Where do you camp if it’s closed?
@Nickclogan they don't plow it during the night. You camp in the same spots you do in the summer but the embankment keeps getting bigger and bigger through the winter.🤣
I camped on the scenic route on Sunday night around 7-8pm, and this accord saw me and tried to drive off the road near me to camp. I was surprised he made it to where I was at but couldn't go further up the road with all that ❄️ so he tried backing up and got stuck. He tried for hours shoveling himself out. He was gone by the time I got up. 🤣
ps. I went to that hot springs last year during the insane storms. I could barely find my way back to the car since the bridge was fully covered in snow. A couple showed up at like 8pm when it was pitch black and started heading over. I always wondered if they were able to find their way out, or had to sleep in the hot springs for warmth lol
Bad 🛞 bearing symptom is a pull to the side of the bad bearing. $500 to replace it. That's steep! Did you get to the early ups for Ikon members on Sunday morning?

@@Nickclogan awesome views, u might notice when u look down that Mammoth is the rim of a super volcano, Wild Willies is in the mouth of the volcano, and the other mountains on the side are the other side of the same volcano! A local pointed it out to me once and once u see u can't unsee it, ha ha
Haha yea idk what’s up with that. In part I think it’s not a firm mount so my binding slides forward, and also probably a tiny bit of GoPro distortion. I went through a thorough setup and got it centered. The next day I rode I screwed everything down tight and first run my binding slid all the way forward to the front of the slots. The next video I’ll post I show that I move them even further back and lock it down a couple of times and it seemed to hold.

Geez man that sounds intense. I almost froze on the walk over there and it was a warm 30 degrees haha
I wondered how all the vans up there barely had any ❄️ on them and my truck had like 2ft. 😅. I heard most of them go down there.

Weird, but it does look like you're riding your board backwards with the nose short and tail long.
