    Everything is looking great Joe. Please don’t forget on the rail caps (#62 paper drawings) to flip one over. There
    printed as two starboards. The two longer ones. Keep the good work flow going.

    Hi ! You are building this model well, but there are some tips for you. I have noticed a recurring mistake, all parts must be sanded on the side surface, i.e. remove the soot from the laser cutter. It is necessary not only for appearance, sanding removes about 0,1 - 0,2 mm, it was taken into account when designing the ship in the places of laying the deck boards and boards of the sides of the ship.

      Perfect! Thank you for the advise. That will be corrected from here on. Your input is greatly appreciated.

    Hey Joe! Great work so far on your Santa Maria! Congrats! I've been away for a few weeks on vacation and then some unplanned surgery, but on the mend. I've got the main deck down and going to stain it while I can get to it all. Somewhere in your videos, you mentioned getting the cannons placed early on so they are not so difficult to place once the quarter deck is in place.
    It does not appear the holes for the cannons are pre-cut into the provided hull planks. From your video and from Pavel's instructions on page 84, it appears the cannons are placed between bulkheads 11-12 and 15-16. Does that match about where you placed yours? And then I will just make the cuts in the hull planks around the cannons, accordingly, as they are placed on the ship sides.
    Continued success on your Santa Maria! I continue to peek in at your videos. Appreciate your documentation work.

    looking amazing staining and all. ik i might be jumping ahead but will you weather the sails or leave them clean?

    • @genojoe3176
      @genojoe3176  2 месяца назад +1

      I am still trying to figure that out. I want to add the sails but I also don't want it to look cheap. I was thinking full sail but I would have to weather them to do so. Still thinking...
