SO much respect for the amount of work that goes into making stop motion videos like this. Both the ship model and the videography itself deserve an award!
It can be plastic, metal or wood and you create the most realistic and entertaining builds. No more mystery as to how things were done in the past: they had people like you to bring things to life. Bravo, again.
Perfect format! No annoying speech, no 6 billion parts wih minor progress in each. Just short video from the beginning to the end. Not mentioning, that model itself is incredibly nice.
I can’t believe some ignorant people have actually given a thumbs down to this work of art truly astounds me.The time and effort to build one of these is off the scale, never let alone do a stop motion video of the build.Amazing 👍
Y'know, it's not often I see these sorts of assembly videos, where the components come together in an animated fashion as if they were not mere inanimate objects. This is just fantastically done here.
I applaud your craftsmanship and patience. Planning out and carrying out the motion of the parts movement while you’re building at the same time is like building 2 things at once. It was well worth it.
Calling you a Master Model Builder just doen't accurately describe the sophistication and excellence in your work. I've seen a bunch of your videos and everytime I do, I am inspired to work harder at my professional vocation and personal projects. Thank you.
Having also built many wooden ship models, I have enjoyed this video very much and it reminded me of all the hard work it takes to built one. Your built is amazing and she is a beauty. Congrats
Tom, I'm sure I don't just speak for myself when I say how much I appreciate the very many hours that go into not just the model making, but the stop-motion and post production of your superb videos. As a small example, the canon appeared and were in place in seconds and yet, knowing you, these will have been meticulously detailed. And then, as ever, there's the rigging, which is always next-level. Thank you.
I liked your video. The boat has been very beautiful 8 years ago I built a Cutter like this in the Mediterranean, without cannons and with a diesel engine. The keel and the mainmast is what gave us the most problems. Now they use it to make tourist trips. A wonderful ship, it sailed very well.
The Wood ship model building is intimidating hobby, it's not easy to set your mind to do it even more so is to decide to shoot a video like that building a wood ship :D. Hats off kind sir!
Tom, I've always enjoyed your stop motion aircraft builds, but for me this is quite possibly the best thing you've ever done! It's up against some very strong competition too! That rigging was insane!
What an emotion to look at this vid ! I was very young in the town where I was born when I past hours staring at the glass windows of Amati. This town is Turin in Italy. What a pleasure to watch this. And really, congrats for this innovative way of implementing the video quality. Nice and pleasant.
I think this video caused me physical pain thinking about the massive pain in the rump this would be. Not just in the model but in the stop motion as well. Very impressive sir, you are a braver soul than I.
these moels look amazing and i have tried on several occasions to find a channel like this. But one thing i would love with this is the history of whatever is being modeled as it is being built. that facinates me as much as the models.
i know a bit about model building but i am even more impressed by your stop motion animation skills. both require precision, good planning and a lot of patience. combining the two makes the achievement extra special.
Excellent animation. Great production. Years ago I built the USS Constellation and this video has brought me back to build one more. Thank you for sharing.
That's so amazing! Making the video with the single-frame recording technique, as if the ropes were tying themselves, multiplies the construction time a hundredfold!
Having the patience to put together a model like this is beyond my abilities. Being able to do it while also doing stop motion required God Level Patience.
The Lady Nelson must have been quite a handful under sail, having that kind of weight and profile. Just a hand tiller to maneuver such an exquisite vessel. She must have shuddered under a quarreling sea, when trying to tack into the gale. Lovely girl.
Just watched your video with my 6yr old daughter we where both amazed by your skills, what an amazing model again TOM. I wondered why we haven't seen a video from you for a while this must have taken ages. I'm glad she didn't ask me to build her one of these because it would be nowhere near as good as yours, we can't wait for the next video. Stay safe and best wishes from NZ
Thanks a lot for your kind words and I'm happy to hear you and your little daughter - greetings btw - like my clips. I'm really sorry I'm unable to upload more often. But my kind of videos are very time consuming. Even when I'm trying new type of modelling...
You are crazy! I have to hand it to you. I have a wooden model ship I started years ago and worked on for what seemed like ages and I only got the frame built and shaped and then haven't touched it since. You not only built yours impeccably but animated every single piece going into place. I thought I had a lot of patience. I have nothing on you. Well done!
This just might be the best single video on how to build a wooden ship model...just fantastic. I disagree with some commenters...I liked the music...but the real magic is the combination of solid construction techniques, captioned "tips" about drying times etc., and the stop/action filming...just brilliant. Well done, Sir, well done indeed.
Simply awe inspiring Tom ! I'm again blown away by the Master Modeler & Animator. The Lady Nelson looks stunning, but what is even more jaw dropping is the stop motion assembly of it. The skill alone to produce an animation on a kit like this is mind blowing. I cannot wait to see what he has install for us in the next video!
SO much respect for the amount of work that goes into making stop motion videos like this. Both the ship model and the videography itself deserve an award!
Thank you very much 😊
Toop

Thanks a lot for your kind words 😊
I'm not sure what's more amazing. The stop motion or the kit! Bravo!
Thanks a lot
Perfect format! No annoying speech, no 6 billion parts wih minor progress in each. Just short video from the beginning to the end. Not mentioning, that model itself is incredibly nice.
I'm happy you like it 😊
I really don't know what was more impressive - the model building or the film making? Well done, sir!
Thank you very much 😊
2 pieces of art, the building of this modell and the filming 👌
Thanks a lot
I can’t believe some ignorant people have actually given a thumbs down to this work of art truly astounds me.The time and effort to build one of these is off the scale, never let alone do a stop motion video of the build.Amazing 👍
Thanks for your kind words. I think they don't like the music mainly
Absolutely beautiful i love old sailing ships
Thank you - I love them too. Now 😅
Some people are outstanding at what they do. You sir are one of them. I humbly bow at your astonishing work and dedication. Cheers.
Thanks a lot 😊
Master model builder, master videographer, master editor . . . just Master! 👍
Thanks a lot 😊
Not sure whether I'm more impressed by the building skills or the animation skills.
WHOA! And I thought your Hellcat was intense. All the rigging work! BRAVO!
I'm pleased you like it
Y'know, it's not often I see these sorts of assembly videos, where the components come together in an animated fashion as if they were not mere inanimate objects.

I watch over a hundred model building channels and your amazing skills simply cannot be matched!! Never mind your filming talent!
These videos are second to none! I can only imagine how much time you put into them. And I dig the music
I'm pleased to hear 😊
Absolutely top notch, beautiful.
Thanks a lot
Beautiful work as always. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks - you're welcome 😊
My little boys and I enjoy watching your creative videos. Thank you for making and sharing them.
I'm glad you like it 😊
You have crazy editing and building skills
Thanks a lot
My respect for ship modelers has just increased a thousand times. Great work.
When I worked on the ship model my respect for the trained ship modellers increased too.
Having also built many wooden ship models, I have enjoyed this video very much and it reminded me of all the hard work it takes to built one. Your built is amazing and she is a beauty. Congrats
Thanks a lot
Just absolutely mind blowing....excellent tutorial on ship building....Amati should be thrilled.
truly amazing
Thank you
Would love to see you attempt this concept on your channel
Indeed, but can it float?🤔

Thanks for bringing me here Miniac.
9' of joy, hundreds hours of modelling, shooting and editing.
Bravo Tom.
I'm pleased to hear you like it
Just gotta say the music choice was brilliant, kept me engaged through the whole video. It's rare to see royalty free music that's so catchy.
That is truly an Oscar winning video, stunning work and beautifuuly done, thanks for sharing your work
Oh, thanks - I'm pleased you like it
The ship came out amazing. But this video on its own is a pure work of art. Amazing job.
Thank you very much 😊
Tom, I'm sure I don't just speak for myself when I say how much I appreciate the very many hours that go into not just the model making, but the stop-motion and post production of your superb videos. can you do a behind the scenes please?? seriously this is epic work!! i find this stop frame movie making fascinating
Yes please!
Oh, it's very tricky working on a making of. Currently I don't know how to handle it.
I can't even fathom how you could possibly make this video. Amazing.
The video editing requires a Noble Prize! Amazing work
Thank you very much 😊
My god ! The amount of work on the ship itself , then stop motion? My hat is off to you sir.
This is the silliest music I have ever heard! I love it
😂 I love it too 😂
I liked your video. The boat has been very beautiful
8 years ago I built a Cutter like this in the Mediterranean, without cannons and with a diesel engine.
The keel and the mainmast is what gave us the most problems.
Now they use it to make tourist trips. A wonderful ship, it sailed very well.
Thank you very much for your nice little story
Your patience is only matched by your skills, amazing. What a cracking video.
Thank you very much
What a spankingly long mainsail boom !
And what a great build.
Thanks a lot 😊
The Wood ship model building is intimidating hobby, it's not easy to set your mind to do it even more so is to decide to shoot a video like that building a wood ship :D. Hats off kind sir!
Thanks a lot 😊
I've already pressed thumbs-up even before watching the vid because I myself is a ship moddler too and I'm amazed by your great craftsmanship!
Wow - I'm glad you like it
Tom, I've always enjoyed your stop motion aircraft builds, but for me this is quite possibly the best thing you've ever done! It's up against some very strong competition too! That rigging was insane!
I'm pleased to hear you like my little experiment 😊
What an emotion to look at this vid ! I was very young in the town where I was born when I past hours staring at the glass windows of Amati. This town is Turin in Italy. What a pleasure to watch this. And really, congrats for this innovative way of implementing the video quality. Nice and pleasant.

I think this video caused me physical pain thinking about the massive pain in the rump this would be. Not just in the model but in the stop motion as well. Very impressive sir, you are a braver soul than I.
Thank you very much 😊
It's stunning, great build but especially the motion on the Camara while stop motion, like turning around the model while it's build, amazing!
Thanks, I'm pleased you like it 😊
I was watching when the "music" hypnotized me and I started my tribal dance
😂😂😂
🤣
Holy F! What an awesome build! Both the vid and the project! Full screen and with headphones..
Brilliant presentation to say nothing of your craftsmanship.
Thank you
The amount of effort with the stop motion video... Amazing. Thank you!
Thanks - you're welcome 😊
Not sure what i was more impressed by, the video or the model. Outstanding work on both though!
Thanks a lot 😊
Great music! You did that in nine minutes without using your hands! I'm impressed!
Tom,you mention below this is your first wooden ship build. your skills are amazing and the animation is a match. outstanding a joy to watch.
Thanks for your kind words 😊
these moels look amazing and i have tried on several occasions to find a channel like this. But one thing i would love with this is the history of whatever is being modeled as it is being built. that facinates me as much as the models.
What is more extraordinary, the assembly of the boat or that of the video? Fabulous !
Thank you 😊
Always awesome !!! Looks like real building of the ship.
I'm glad you like it
One of the best things I've seen on RUclips. Really great work!
I'm pleased to hear 😊
This is hypnotic and takes model building from art form into... super art form? Mega art form? ULTRA ART FORM!?
Thanks a lot
Beautiful craftsmanship and stop motion skills and video editing. Just pure skills Tom
Thank you very much 😊
Absolutely beautiful work sir! Much respect for the time and effort put into both the model and camera work.
Thanks a lot for your kind words 😊
Insane talent. Beautiful.
Thank you
i know a bit about model building but i am even more impressed by your stop motion animation skills. both require precision, good planning and a lot of patience. combining the two makes the achievement extra special.
Thanks for your kind words 😊
Tom this is a work of art , the most incredible video on building models ive ever seen, BRAVO
I'm pleased to hear 😊
Simply building this model would be a challenge enough for me, let alone trying to do the stop motion as well!!! Wow
I'm happy you like it 😊
Absolutely amazing mate 😎😎😎
Thanks a lot
Excellent animation. Great production. Years ago I built the USS Constellation and this video has brought me back to build one more. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks, you're welcome 😊
this video is an art in itself. amazing and well done! thank you!
Thanks a lot 😊
That's so amazing! Making the video with the single-frame recording technique, as if the ropes were tying themselves, multiplies the construction time a hundredfold!
Great work! I'm having so much fun watching the video!
I'm pleased to hear 😊
I don't know what was more impressive, the build or the editing. Amazing stuff. Loved the soundtrack too, its kind of hypnotic 👍
Thanks - I'm pleased you like my little experiment
Amazing how ur ship can build itself! my kit has been laying underneath my bed and refuses to do anything...
My victory is ten years in the making...at least the hull is finished now
😂🤣😂
😂
Did you play that hip hop music?
Having the patience to put together a model like this is beyond my abilities.
Being able to do it while also doing stop motion required God Level Patience.
Awesome! Your hands are made of solid gold!
Thanks a lot 😊
Truly amazing how you made this video. Building a ship like this whilst making a stop-motion video... incredible!
Thanks a lot 😊
Fantastic 👍
Without the sails, just a half nelson🐳
Thanks - the kit is intended without sails...
Thanks Tom, how you combine building with ‘stop motion’ is amazing, you need at least double the patience. 👍
Haha I see what you did there....
Probably the best modeling video I have ever seen
Hola
@@Pablo-nq2wf ola?
Thank you so much for your kind words 😊
so much effort .. the video, the modeling .. Wow !!
Thanks a lot
The Lady Nelson must have been quite a handful under sail, having that kind of weight and profile. Just a hand tiller to maneuver such an exquisite vessel. She must have shuddered under a quarreling sea, when trying to tack into the gale. Lovely girl.
you are the most patient person ive seen
Love it
Thank you

It probably took twice as long to make the video than it did this incredible ship. Well done!
you're absolutely right. I'm pleased you like it

Amazing, the DETAILS!!! 😲🤯🤯🤯🤯
Astounding build!
Thank you
Most welcome!
Absolutely fascinating

Simply stunning
Phenomenal! Whenever you release a build, it amazes every. single. time.
I'm pleased to hear 😊
That was a pleasure to watch, the skills displayed were impressive to say the least. I still haven't worked out how you'll get it inside a bottle. ;)
That would be quite a big bottle!
First off let me say that I have mad respect for the time and patience it took you to make this video happen and second it is a beautiful ship
Thank you
Great video - and impressive result! Well done!
Thank you very much 😊
This goes beyond model making, you’ve made it in to a art form. Well done sir 👏👏👏
I'm pleased to hear you like my little experiments
It's hard to just make it, but it's amazing to make it in stop motion.
Fastest-passing nine minutes ever! Amazing job of modelling and filming
Thanks a lot 😊
Great work man
Thanks
