Ren arranged these EDM tracks for his guitar and vocals. He says Fred Gibson is one of his favorite artists out there today. Ren's interpretation is phenomenal.
A few notes to answer your questions
This is a mashup of 5 tracks by EDM club producer Fred Again. They are, in order, Jungle, Delilah, leavemealone, Clara, Angie
The video is shot by Josh Stiles. He's been one of Ren's crew for a long time. He shot a lot of Ren's busking videos solo or with The Big Push.
The view out of the window is Calgary. Ren's been living there since late 2022 getting medical treatments.
Ren uses Logic to record and produce his music.
Ren, is such a lyrical genius. I absolutely love his style. So multi talented and i love how he taught himself how to play the guitar by Ear. Knowing how this is a 1 take is incredible! He has such a melodic voice. I could honestly listen to his music all day. Absolutely beautiful. Felt this to my core!
I fully agree about Ren. But are these his lyrics. From looking at Fred Again I think they're samples. Could be wrong.
The originals are EDM songs by a very cool artist named Fred Again. If you go to his youtube check out any of his most popular videos they are all dope. I don't know them well enough yet to tell you which ones Ren is singing but I'm sure someone will put them down in the comments for you. Great Reaction!

Ren is THE GREATEST artist alive, and his one rap album was a million times better then the trash on the radio, but this is beautiful and pulls the emotion out of you, his voice when he says ‘I been lost’ a bunch of times and it sounds like he’s closed to crying but I love that h does perfect vocals and brings them down to the sound of him basically talking instead of him singing. This song is amazing but this one’s emotional for me ❤
Pausing isn’t the issue. It’s how, when and why you do it and what you have to say in those pauses. I’m fine with most pausers, I.e. Knox Hill, because he says something relevant to what he has just heard, and says it quickly and concisely.

This is entitled Fred Again mashup. So who do you suppose wrote the songs? Fred Again maybe?! Sorry, but damn. So…Fred Again is an EDM artist who is quite famous in Europe, and no, REN’s interpretation of his songs is not much like the originals. If you ask me, they’re much better, but that could be because EDM is not my cup of tea. However, if you want to know more about Fred Again’s particular genius, I recommend the Tiny Desk concert he did on NPR. His musical skills are definitely well beyond EDM. Anyway, I found Ren’s performance to be utterly gorgeous and heartbreaking (as per usual with Ren). Other than not knowing who wrote the songs even though it was clearly written into the title, I really enjoyed your reaction. New sub. 😊
I disagree with you about Tom McDonald, but unlike most i am okay with that because. We all have thoughts on things in the world world we be boring if we felt the same. But being a HOG fan and Ren. Much love
