Ren has a talent ! He obviously felt these lyrics when he heard the songs ! He has arranged them into this ,kinda like his progression of his incredible journey he is enduring..I imagine when he first heard these lyrics they hit him in the same emotion, I felt emotion of weary, spent, But persistence ! I am just thankful he is able to get what he needs and hope he is nearing the end of his grueling treatments . All the love I can project for this boy , he's got !
Loved your breakdown and commentary on each of the Fred again songs Ren used. In a BTS posted on Ren’s Patreon yesterday, Fred again was his top artist of 2023. He couldn’t pick a favorite, but the way he seamlessly wove the 5 songs together acoustically was brilliant. I agree, the emotion at the end was so powerful. You can even see him shaking as the camera panned off. That song and those lyrics capture his life for so long. And the way the video was filmed added so much to it, especially as he looks out at the Calgary skyline so far from home. He initially thought he would only need to be there for treatment for 6 months, but it’s been over a year and he isn’t sure when he will be able to return. This song / video has resonated with SO many. I really hope Fred sees it! A collab between the two of them would be unreal.
Honestly, best reaction I’ve seen for this. It’s nice to see someone who knew the original material. From what I’ve read, Ren went to Fred Agains show in Vegas. Apparently, he broke down when the whole “I’ve been lost” thing happened in the show, literally overcome with emotion. I think that’s why his version hits so well. He’s not faking it at the end. He’s resonating.

I’ve seen about a dozen or so of your videos but some thing definitely stuck out to me about this one. I must say this was the absolute most pretty I’ve ever seen you; and that is not a shout out to your obvious physical beauty, but more so the amount of the feeling you were engaged with within this song.
