Spelunky HD - Temple Shortcut Low% Hell -

Earlier today, a glitch was discovered that allowed the player to enter the hell door without the Book of the Dead, thereby bypassing the need for any item in the "chain" usually obtained during a Hell run (Udjat, Ankh, Hedjet, Scepter, Book of the Dead). This means that a Hell finish starting from the Temple shortcut is now possible, and so I have done exactly such a run (in low% to boot!).
Hectique has done a low% hell run starting from the mines, and GC has also done an any% run.

1 get the eye thingy 2 get to black market 3 get the 2 live thing I can’t spell 4 die with the 🗿 statue level get cloth go city of gold I don’t know the rest

get the eye of horous or something and use it to find the black market, then either buy or murder for the ankh and then go to the ice caves, die in the level with the moai head to get the hedjet, kill anubis and get the staff, find the entrance to the city of gold, go inside, get the necronomicon, kill anubis again, use the necronomicon to locate the entrance to hell, and either use bombs or olmec to go down to the entrance, and congrats you're in hell

He used a block glitch which makes it seem as if it was unlocked so it does look It up

Pretty cool, is 3 the minimum number of blocks? Will be interesting to see how fast the skip can be done!

Developments are still happening rapidly. Just one hour after this comment was posted, someone found a way to perform the skip with just one push block! That one requires a lot of bombs or a mattock, but it will be interesting how this shakes up the meta for every Hell category!
