Pretty fast!!! The paste in 1-2 woulda made this a record probably.. I ran sceptre bookskip runs and broke the wr twice yesterday in like an hour. My runs had 3 “checks” that I used to judge how good it was: mobility (jetpack or a cape), 15+ bombs (30 was great), and paste. Having all of those help out immensely with bookskip, but the huge time saves are ice caves (mobility plus compass is invaluable), bookskip (paste is super fast, plenty of bombs is safe), and Yama (jetpack helps speed it up immensely). I got a 1:03.5 bookskip olmec IL on my 6:06 sceptre bookskip run, which is the current wr. It was clean, and optimized basically minus having the hell door all the way on the right..
I don't understand. So this is a bug I'm guessing? So Olmec has to smash down on a push block, next to the hell door, while the block is falling, and it for some reason spawns enemies and breaks open the door to hell?
Yeah exactly, the "bookskip" glitch discovered by Riverrun in 2022. There are slower setups with a much larger timing window, but you have to stack a few blocks up on top of each other which float in the lava for a bit. The enemies spawning is independent tho, 50% chance to happen on any stomp
