What is wrong with people. Exactly. In 1985 I was 23 yrs old, so going back to this time is easy for me to imagine. This woman is evil, she got off too easy. The fact that she was blessed with two more daughters is sickening when she tossed her firstborn out like nothing more than a McDonalds wrapper on the roadside.
This case is really making me reflect. I had a roommate who chose to abort a baby she conceived at age 20 (in the 1980s). Months later she said to me, "Doesn't even seem real that I was pregnant. It's like it never happened." She was able to push it to the back of her mind and ignore it. Like it never happened. I'm guessing Lee Ann did the same sort of convenient mental gymnastics. My friend wasn't very bright. I'm guessing Lee Ann isn't the sharpest tool in the box either. My friend... she graduated college, married the father of her aborted child and went on to have two more children with him. I often wonder if her first child ever crosses her mind. I doubt it. What need was there to kill her first child? I'll never understand it. I guess it was just inconvenient. 😢

The lady and the people who run the baby boxes are literal angels. There are safe boxes that are constantly monitored so people can leave their babies safely without being identified.
I live 10 miles from there. I remember when it happened. You nailed it again Dr. Grande!! At 21 she was totally capable. There were resources here. Leanne did NOT think about that night every single day of her life. What a lie!! She never looked back. She said so herself, she never thought about returning and saving the baby. Leaving a baby with no chance is awful, when there are churches , hospitals, and other buildings that she could have left the baby, with a 100% chance of being found within minutes!!
She was concealing an unwanted pregnancy. I don’t believe her ending her child’s life was based on mental illness. She simply did not want anyone to know she was pregnant. and eventually because of DNA was convicted of her heartless crime, period.

I have never heard of a mother dog abandoning her pups.
Speak for yourself.
@@sydneyfairbairn3773 yet dogs do sometimes reject their pups.
Animals are amazing & more intelligent in so many ways...Beautiful, kind doggy-mama..❤
Even watching your ads with YOUR pup, makes me smile. Dogs are heros~
“No idea she had given birth”??? Are you kidding me?
Right? It's normal when you pull over to pee to bleed profusely and poop. Ridiculous. RIP
@@Cherokee913 What type of "casual" sex does she have?
She Peeeeeeed it out!! 😕
@@HollieMoodiemust have been out cold!! 🥶
There is a swedish song I like very much that asks the question if you can bring your dog with you when you go to heaven. I believe you can. And for most of us they are already there waiting ❤
I denied my pregnancy because of the grim situation i was in at the time. I adopted out my child. It is truly horrifying what she did.
Thank you for calling her what she is, Dr Grande. Even if it was a passive way of going about it. You and I both know this woman is despicable.
The couple that wanted a child, and then their dog brings them a dead baby, is going to stick with me for the rest of my life. 😔 God bless them.
Thank you for telling baby Jane's story. And, as usual, you are 100% correct in your thoughts and analysis.
@@edelweiss2.076 Lee Ann should not have been able to have more children.
@@edelweiss2.076 Stevie Nicks did that in the 70's. Just an inconvenience for her touring with Fleetwood Mac.
@@edelweiss2.076 sounds like she didn't have the time or money to raise a child so she aborted the fetus, that's the smart thing to do, why bring a kid into the world where you cannot provide for them properly, nice to know she has a wonderful family now

RIP Paca❤ she died the year I was born. What an amazing pup❤
In a better timeline somewhere out there, Paca the Huskey found the baby still alive and brought her/him back to the couple and they adopted her/him.
Such a beautiful thought 🥹
I mean it is a her is it not?
Paca puts our culture to utter shame. R.I.P. baby girl. 🙏🏽😔
That's stupid. Dogs eat their own feces.
Our culture also created Paca so let's not forget that
Only a dog lover could recognize and give such credits to an amazing dog like in this story 💕
That sentence is a disgrace. That dog was more human.
I can see that this case moved you deeply. You are a decent man.
She did not want the child, so she gave birth and discarded it. She just did not think that anyone would find out about her crime after 37 years.
Where was the father? He did not want the baby too apparently.
@@glassheartsx It was stated it was from a one night stand, he wouldn't of even known.
@kingcosworth2643 he participated in the one night stand, he was being irresponsible. So no chances are he didn't give af. He knows the consequences. It's just that no one holds men responsible for their own actions.
Your thoughts on this case indicate that you have a profound understanding of the cruelty in the world... As well as the reason to continue living in it. Because there is still goodness, as found in Haka the dog
This was one of the most powerful and beautiful videos you've uploaded, and you've uploaded a lot of videos! Thank you.
Please don't let other RUclipsrs get you down. You are great at this RUclips thing ❤. Even if I disagree with your opinion sometimes, you have the right to have one.
Imagine how the child could have been rescued, saved, raised, flourished. Think of those words
The closure argument regarding Pakka is astounding! Thank you Dr Grande!
I think my sister had this… she would lie to us the entire time she was pregnant and would lie and say she wasn’t. She was a grown adult at the time too… lived on her own and all,.. it was the oddest thing
That was really moving. I shed a tear.
Thanks!
Simply the connection that the dog was doing what she could to help... Seriously had to pause, cry that out if my system before finishing the video... Just the image that the dog had more heart... Very, very sad...
THAT Sir, was unbelievably beautiful - Thank You !
I absolutely agree with Dr. Grande’s points at the end of the video. Poor baby.
Thank you for bringing light to baby Jane’s story. Leanne got off easy. So disturbing, so cruel.
Very thoughtful post. Tragic end to a child who was healthy and eager to begin her life. Her mother is a monster. Justice was not served.
The fact that justice can be achieved decades later makes me hopeful more cold cases will as yet be solved.
That poor little baby. What a hideous woman. Justice was not served.
I agree with you!
It's horrible
What an Awesome Dog ❤
I'm glad that the laws now allow mothers to leave their babies at fire stations and hospitals. This wasn't possible in 1985, but it must have saved many babies since it went into effect. Perhaps Baby Jane would still be alive if that option were available back then.
She could have given the baby up for adoption. Poor baby girl.😢
She still could have left that baby in a hospital, library or even a grocery. There were many places in 1985. There’s no excuse.
The lady and the people who run the baby boxes are literal angels. There are safe boxes that are constantly monitored so people can leave their babies safely without being identified.
You could in the 80s boomer
Or maybe NOT force woman to carry unwanted fetuses?
I live 10 miles from there. I remember when it happened. You nailed it again Dr. Grande!! At 21 she was totally capable. There were resources here. She could have left that baby on anyone’s porch around here at that time and she would have grown up well. She deserves the time she gets. You’re right about her not really caring. She proved that. You are so smart. Poor little baby. 💕
Appreciate your input about resources in the area because most people probably don't realize how remote it is northern Maine. I had wondered what services she had access to.
This is a heartbreaking story, especially when you spoke about the dog, Paco, and the couple who never had any children, but would have loved to have a baby.
Dr. Grande’s ending notes about Paca were impactful. Haunting and deep.
Im-Paca-tful
Excellent analysis! Our society must value life, all life!
AMEN
She was concealing an unwanted pregnancy. I don’t believe her ending her child’s life was based on mental illness. She simply did not want anyone to know she was pregnant. and eventually because of DNA was convicted of her heartless crime, period.
I agree.
Yup!
Agreed. Just because someone is bad doesn't mean they are crazy.
Yeah i didn't want anyone knowing i was pregnant, i was embarrassed that their dad pretended we weren't together. I prayed for my babies everyday & they are grown up now & my greatest happiness 💛💛💛
Thank you again Dr. Grande 🙏
RIP Baby Jane and doggy Paca 🕊️
Leann should have been given life ! She already lived a good life after committing a heinous act against an innocent baby! She escaped responsibility in life but she won’t escape responsibility when her day comes ! The thought of baby Jane laying out there in the cold is heartbreaking for me a total stranger I don’t know how a mother can do that.!! Dogs are better than most people. They are way more loyal….. Prayers for baby Jane 🙏💔🙏💔
This analysis was a masterpiece.
Thank you so much for your analysis on this case, Dr. Grande. I agree with your commentary on this murderer.
Dr Grande I love the after-thought commentary. Please keep it up!
Absolutely correct. Profound and powerful statements, Dr. Grande.
Dr Grande has a little white pooch ,so cute now iam an even bigger fan knowing Dr Grande is an animal lover🐩♥
I don't often cry at your videos. This broke my heart. This monster deserves LWOP. She murdered her baby in the most callous, unfeeling, and horrific way. I was a teenager in 1985, and there was plenty of access to birth control. There's no excuse for this pathetic apology for a human being. NONE.
That’s so tragic that there was a couple living right there who would have gladly taken the baby, and their dog brought her right to them, but it was too late 😢
For real:(
I'm still loving the format! The extra bits at the end are worth staying for.
Thank you for adding your moral/ethical/personal point of view every now and then, dr. Grande. You are a brave honest person
Bless you Paca 🙏
Imagine being the next two daughters and learning what your mother did to your own half-sister.
My God.
And whatever happens to Lee Ann in prison, happens.
RIP Paca.
And what did we learn here? We learned that we still don't deserve dogs.
It’s so true the Paka had so much more compassion for baby Jane than her evil mother. Truly horrific and preventable if this woman had a conscience.
