In handing down the maximum possible sentence, Chief Judge Paul Chamberlain told White he does not belong in society and that his actions were beyond comprehension.....
I do 100% agree with Dr. Grandes point about people with criminal histories; their success or lack thereof in reintegrating back into society and putting their past behind them is entirely dependent on the nature of those crimes. There is no one size fits all in terms of societal acceptance and expectation to not judge and to trust someone implicitly when they state that they have turned their lives around and the moral high ground stance of: 'You have to give them a chance, you have to forgive and forget, they deserve a second chance'. Society cannot be that naive when it comes to people with criminal pasts that involve violence towards women and sexually motivated crimes. These people never, ever change, they are incapable of it.
There are also too many people who can be manipulated and conned by someone like John, especially if that person insists they have "found Jesus" or the equivalent.
It did a sound pretty unpleasant! Those remote areas can give people a lot of freedom to commit crimes and not be seen. And the level of superstition of the people up there doesn't help, either. They seriously believe in gods and devils??

I love your channel, Dr. G. I grew up just outside of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, and still reside in the state of Michigan. Apparently, Mt. Pleasant has no shortage of creeps and criminals. I remember Rebekah’s case like it was yesterday. A few years after that, there was another case that shook the community. It involved Mark Ranzenberger, who was a professor at Central Michigan University. This person was a pedophile and accidentally showed his class a dropbox file full of pornographic images with children. During trial, it was revealed that he had also been raping a child known to the family for many years. It was also revealed that he had written a document for other pedophiles, to educate them on how to groom children, including infants for sexual abuse. The case will absolutely make your skin crawl. It might be an interesting one for you to take a look at.
How? Simply how? He's got two bodies on him that he's gotten away with and we haven't even gotten to the actual crime of the video. Geez how was he allowed outside after the first incident? Can you imagine being almost killed by him and hearing he got out only to have him do it again? That was beyond disrespectful. I want to see their reactions when they learn what evil they willingly unleashed
Ban the box? Why not ban the Constitution? We have a right to a public trial. This means the public gets to witness the trial and know the results. With out the public being involved, the concept of a public trial is kind of pointless. The result of a trial is public knowledge. All convictions are a matter of public record. What we need is honest, open, transparency in access to public records. Hiding the truth makes a mockery of the concept of a public trial. If people don't want a Felony on their record, perhaps they should have not done the crime?
How people like this manage to find romantic partners is an utter mystery to me. I can just look at someone like him and alarm bells go off that he is a dangerous person. I can’t be the only person who gets that impression from people who later on are proven to justify that determination. So why are women drawn to men like this? I can’t also tell when a woman is no good and U steer clear of them. I really don’t understand how time after time and story after story these obviously damaged goods guys seem to connect with women and have romantic relationships with them. The only thing that I can think of is that some women are simply drawn to the danger.
I think there is an evolutionary behavior that a dangerous man can be extremely useful if he uses that violence to protect and this does happen, but biological urges aren't that clever, there is no logic involved in the urge, it's needs to be over ridden by ones thinky parts, not everyone has S tier thinky parts.
Some people are simply better at assessing risk and intention than others. There have been a few (small) studies that indicate that people _can_ assess criminality by appearance, but the margin of error is large. Also, like most things, it's a skill that falls on a spectrum with a few being inatelly good, most being passable, and some being completely incapable. It's those that are bad at determining character that psychopaths attach themselves to.
I think one thing that helps a man or woman determine if the person they’re dating or having a romantic relationship is a good person, not damaged is to have a long-term interaction with them before living with them. See them in a many different situations and see how they interact with different people And different situations such as if they drink too much alcohol, if they are patient or get easily angered, etc.
This may be off topic but it points to our broken system of quality childcare for working parents in this country. Many people really can’t afford to be too picky about who they leave their children with when they must accept any employment no matter how low paying. I remember answering a newspaper ad (remember those?) from an older woman willing to watch children in her home. I paid her off the books so I could afford her reasonable fee. They turned out to be lovely people who cared for Lori until she went to school. I’m still in touch with them years later. And yet I left an 8 month old baby with total strangers long before I could research backgrounds on the internet. Many vulnerable children are being routinely farmed out to people unqualified to care for them. I was very fortunate
Former inmates need to be loved too. The support of a church family can help many avoid recidivism. But should someone convicted of these offenses be in the leadership of a church family? Zacceus the corrupt tax collector repented of his sin and made restitution. Did Jesus and the disciples ever put him in charge of their money?
In my 48 years of life I have learnt that some of society's most evil, cunning , despicable of human beings hide behind the cloak of " Pastor" "Preacher" " Archbishop", " Minister" etc..I would go as far to say that the upper percentage of people in these positions are running from something or exploit their position for their evil deeds. Whatever that may be. Whenever I am greeted with the title of one of these ( Pastor, clergy, church elder etc) my radar goes to high alert. So this story sadly is no surprise.
Satan didn’t get to him… He WAS “in” him! Wolves in sheep’s clothing. Spiritual discernment is critical. So is a little common sense. True, Dr. Grande: it was the “nature” of the crimes.

I'm perfectly content with my godless ability to utilize logic and reason, so I won't be taking any chances.
Im faithful, but have lots of commons sense and logic! And more experience. I guess you could say wisdom. And discernment.
@@juneyshu6197 I have no reason to doubt that, my friend. I'm sure you're a perfectly kind and rational individual. There are plenty of faithful and/or spiritual people with great prudence and insight. I suppose it just really sticks out when someone attempts to utilize their faith and/or religious convictions to make poor judgments regarding someone's overtly-questionable character, or to excuse someone's terrible behavior only to end up on the dreadfully regrettable side of the equation.
Even non-religious people excuse criminals. See-any major city where criminals are released within hours of arrest and reoffend within hours. The non-religious have their own version of religion.
Same here!
This is the difference with faith and religion. Jesus himself despised religious people. Matthew 6 verses 5 to 8

Dr. Grande! Your videos are fantastic! Thanks for all you do!
I like the graphics at the beginning that shows the names of the parties involved in the video. Well done.
This psycho probably has unidentified victims all over the place…
WTF he has already shown twice his intentions to kill, and the justice system allows him to be out in public.
He is a danger to the community and should never be let out.
The system doesn't work. Some people should never be allowed out
Two uploads today! Thank you, Dr, Grande!
Welcome back, Dr. Grande . I like this style much better than the new one .
His miracolous transformation in jail was clearly not that miracolous...
It sounds like John was exceedingly creepy! Nice Halloween decorations, Mrs. G. 🎃
Why are you assuming Mrs G is responsible? Your analysis may be based on stereotypical, circumstantial evidence. However I'm not diagnosing anyone, just speculating.
RUclips would have been incomplete without you ! - Admiration From India
Love the Halloween decorations! I wonder if Mrs. Grande is responsible. She is clearly gifted in the art of holiday decorating.
Thanks Dr G...another odd and creepy one! Appropriate for your Halloween decos! Your dry humor still makes me chuckle...
I feel so badly for this innocent girl and her little boy.
I'm just furious this man was walking the streets. Everyone who goes to prison meets the Lord but most seem to "ghost" him as soon as they're released.
That alternative chair angle/presentation is so much more engaging. Please consider it more often!
An early video = a fantastic start of Friday. Good weekend guaranteed!
I used this case as an example of why sex offenders shouldn’t be allowed in church, but my mom still thinks they should be 😔
I can understand someone making that point, from a desire to promote forgiveness.
I'm not saying I agree with her.
Or in public
@@fredflinstone6601 My opinion around this, with sex offenders, is that it might be, along with serial killers, the one expression of criminality that does call for almost no chance of release. Or no chance at all. Lifetime incarceration. I say this with regret because I try to believe in the ability of any human being to change drastically. I believe that is a hopeful position and a humane position.
But experience has taught us that these offenders are very, very unlikely to ever let go of their obsession.
but they often gather around churches and are actively protected by them... and this is going on for centuries. Maybe churches shouldn't be allowed due to this (and other) issue...
Interesting point. They should be allowed in, but as in every public area, everyone should be careful about interacting with others. Anytime one interacts with others, they are taking a risk and the less you know them, the greater the risk. I agree with your mother though, it's wrong to keep them out. Just know, as in any situation, the person next to you could be a sex offender or murderer.
5am and I’m awake. Thanks for the wake up call, Todd. You dropped this 10 minutes before my alarm clock went off.
I’m baffled. I don’t think anyone could have foreseen this happening. 🤦🏻♀️
"The satan-free explanation" lol
😂 The only rational explanation.
Thanks for 2 videos today, Dr. G! 🎉
What a horrible person
Don't call them a person. Being a human means NOT doing this.
@@theedwardian Nope, this is a human male no matter how much you people try to convince yourself otherwise. Animals aren’t even capable of such malevolence.
@@kiowah231 You people? LOL. You aren't a person?
@kiowah231 statistically, the vast majority of men will go through their lives without stabbing or seriously injuring anyone. These "human shaped" psychopaths shouldn't be given the title of "person" because part of being human is to have empathy, especially for the innocent.
Cutest Halloween decoration in the back! Thank you for your videos. I have been binge watching you for days! 😊
"She overdosed on drugs but I was afraid everybody would think I killed her,, so I dumped her body in the woods." What is the guy, dumb? (And then Dr. G.'s story gets disturbing and gross!) Right-o. We'll be charging de debil too!
I marvel at how judges give grace to criminals at the great expense of the innocent.
⚠️ When White was released in 2007 after serving within the range of his maximum sentence, MDOC officials sent warnings to law enforcement officials in Kalamazoo and Calhoun counties, Battle Creek, Jackson and Paw Paw, areas they thought he might settle, that White should be considered dangerous..White, who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Isabella County, was sentenced April 18.
In handing down the maximum possible sentence, Chief Judge Paul Chamberlain told White he does not belong in society and that his actions were beyond comprehension.....
“The Satan-free explanation” 🤣 You, sir, are a true national treasure
Immediately Dr G made a mention of polygraph, I right away predicted what would follow next 😀
I don't think anyone could say the words "freak them out" in a more clinical way than Dr. Grande at 10:06.. lol..
Ooh, caught the fresh late night upload. Drinking green tea too late in the day has paid off!
Also, Yipes!
I grew up not far from this town. Unfortunately, this kind of degeneracy is all too common in rural Michigan.
@@Ariadne76-k3d hard to find educated, seminary-trained clergy in those places. Religion very easily turns into superstition.
@Ariadne76-k3d They aren't the only ones.
No actually its not. You must be on some Harrison crystal if you think this type of shit is common in rural Michigan.
Dr. Grande, you are a business genius! You make videos on topics for which as long as there are humans alive somewhere, you will have plenty of material for which to make great videos, and you do that well!

Love your channel. Secret comedian
This video is making me feel famous, Dr Grande just mentioned my hometown of Battle Creek Michigan! It's the little things in life that bring me joy. A very sad case tho. Thank you for all your hard work Dr G. Hope you all have a lovely day.
Isn't Battle Creek very famous for grains and cereals?
@NickvonZ Yes! it's called the "Cereal City" because Kelloggs and Post both started here. I actually work at one of the cereal plants on nightshift.
We used to have the world's longest breakfast table too. That's about the most interesting thing that's in the Creek. lol
@@Reading_the_comments Little known but IMPORTANT facts, I'd say! 😃😸
We really need to stop offering plea deals to people who have been charged with multiple crimes. How many times do we need to watch these dangerous convicts be released early, only for them to turn around and harm another innocent victim before we realize this is an incredibly perilous approach to serving proper punishment to these detestable repeat offenders?
So much for his religious conversion. He was a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It wasn’t Satan who committed this crime, it was John. Some people don’t need Satan’s help, they’re evil all on their own.
You are knocking out a lot of quality content Dr. Grande! I love it and am not complaining but I hope you're taking care of yourself while you're doing it! Perfectly selfish reasons of course, no really, I hope youtake plenty of time for your self and fanily. Thanks for all the hard work!
Let’s not blame the Church or even that creep. It’s police & America’s injustice system that failed at least 2 women & their families!
How about we blame both. You voted for Kamala didn't you?
"I guess because of all the senseless shelf attacks in the area" lol! Dr Grande has great analysis of cases and also really funny one liners! Great sense of humor!
Jesus Christ 😮
Mount Unpleasant?
This guy sounds like the ultimate creep
shame on that mother for letting this creep near her highly attractive daughter
How?
Dr Grande is too professional to say it, so I will without speculation: PEOPLE HAVE LOST THEY DAMN MINDS! 😳
Thank you Dr. Grande, well said.
I’m a registered nurse and have worked in forensic. I agree with your analysis. I Appreciate the way you articulated the case.
Society is so lost! How the hell is it even possible to watch people having sex with dead bodies..
Also, really listen to them as they talk, go with them to a movie and listen how they talk about the characters in the movies.
Jesus man. How in the hell is someone like that aloud back on the streets. This justice system man…
Senseless shelf attacks in the area…..I had to get off the train…😂😂
Darn, I was waiting for the: "and he was exceedingly creepy" part, and Dr. Grande never dropped that line in this video unfortunately.
Dr. Grande is as poetic as he is prolific.
I've noticed over the years that psychopaths/ narcissists gravitate toward religion and become pastors/ priests, etc.
School teachers too. My wood shop teacher was basically an open p*do and still kept his job.
Love your Halloween decoration
I'm loving your Halloween decorations! Your humor always makes me laugh ...
Satan didn’t get to him… He WAS “in” him! Wolves in sheep’s clothing. Spiritual discernment is critical. So is a little common sense.
True, Dr. Grande: it was the “nature” of the crimes.

Polygraphs only measures the bodys response to stress, like for example mental stress, something you might naturally feel if you are accused of murdering someone.
They're anxiety measuring machines, NOT lie detectors. They'd be more useful in the treatment of anxiety disorders as a way to empirically measure stress response before and after treatment.
It's amazing the trust and even more incredible the faith people instill in an undeniable monster.
Will Dr G wear a Halloween shirt as we get closer to Halloween? :)
