Thank you ❤. I'm watching all the way from South Africa 🇿🇦. I did my shock replacement this morning on my W211 E500, I call her Lady Merc ❤. Thanks to you, the DIY was a flow 😎.
What's the counter-hold tool (for removal/installation of the upper shock nut)? Is it a socket and if so, what size is it? Or is it a special tool and if so, what's the part number? Thanks.
The CTA Pass through socket set featured in this video has the "Double D sockets" needed to counterhold the top of the shaft. It is a small rectangle slot cut into this socket that holds the top of the shaft. That toolset is available on FCPEuro.com: CTA-7466
Well done, one question, you used alot of force to compress the new strut in place. Comparing that to the old strut is there a big difference? Any noticeable symptoms with the old worn struts? Thanks!
Hi Chris, the units that came out were original, so they were pretty well-worn compared to the new Bilstein units that we installed. A floaty ride in the rear is a good beginning symptom or worn shocks. As they age further, if not replaced, you can start hearing creaking and knocking about.

Well done! Nicely explained. Thank you
It was the best Thank you.
The W219 CLS550 method is the same, right?
If there's a noise "creaking" after correction
What do we check first?😅
Do You have to bleed air from the air strut to remove the rear shock?
Hello, curious if you carry the lower bolt and nut? If so could you provide a part # or bolt size? Thank you much
Do you have a video on replacing the rear bags?
Thanks.
So sorry, not something we have at the moment!

Haii there, i want to ask for front subframe torque spec
Hello! For the bolts that hold the front subframe into the frame rails, Mercedes recommends 100nm on RWD W211 models and 120nm on 4Matic cars
@@fcpeuro ok ty so much 🙏
That is pretty much same as any W211 and w219 that equipped with airmatic..
It's all good. But this f..... music is annoying like hell
This music is horrendous, distracting, ear-shattering. Every time.
