- Hello, buttercup! Today, I have a stunning, beginner level crochet ruana to share with you. It features a supremely simple, one-row pattern repeat that creates a scrumptious texture and beautiful color changes. This pattern is perfect for crocheters who are ready to use basic stitches to create a larger garment.

Muisca is a Beginner to Adventurous Beginner level crochet pattern, and the samples shown here were made with our LUSCIOUS Luster Sport yarn. Luster Sport is a beautifully shimmering and soft, sport-weight yarn with a squish factor that is sure to please! Everyone who sees and feels this yarn base LOVES it. This yarn is a blend of 50% Superwash Merino Wool and 50% Lyocell, a plant fiber that provides the glow of silk without the price. Luster Sport has 395 yds/361 m per skein.
Both samples used approximately 1790 yds (Color A: 245 yds, Color B: 325 yds, Color C: 325 yds, Color D: 325 yds, Color E: 325 yds, Color F: 245 yds). Sample A was made with our Sanguine Hues Luster Sport Kit, and Sample B was made with our Blackberry Hues Luster Sport Kit.

First off, you’re a fantastic teacher. Secondly, I love how this pattern uses a simple stitch to create a gorgeous garment. The finished piece looks complicated but the pattern is very accessible. I can see myself wrapping up in this as I go out on my morning walks. What I love about fall is of course the changing colors and crisp air. I also love the smells and pumpkin spice everything!
Oh! There is so much that I just love about fall. I love the smell of it, the changing of the colors, the slowing down of the season, the warm cozy feel it gives you inside. I love that the items I've been working on during the summer for fall are ready to be worn and enjoyed. It's like the world is getting ready to revitalize itself, as we should do also.
By the way, I hadn't really crochet much before the pandemic happened. It had been years and it was always simple items. Because of the lockdowns and everything going on, I happened onto your RUclips site and it really connected with me. In 2020 I picked up my needles and started to challenge myself. I made my first sweater in 2020 and since then, I have made several items and really expanded my horizons. Your videos were my inspiration. They helped me through those early days and I found something that brought me such peace during a really difficult time. Your lessons are easy to understand and follow. Thank you for what you do. Plus, it is all about the yarn. the better the quality of yarn, the better your projects look and the longer they last. You are truly gifted as a teacher and business woman.

That pattern is adorable and so simple to do even for an advanced beginner like me (slowly building up to do harder items) The colours that you have chosen and the yarn base is great. The thing I love most about the Fall (autumn in the uk) is when the leaves start changing colour on the trees from the greens to the reds and oranges. It is just great watching the seasons change. I used to love to walk in the crunchy leaves that had fallen from the trees when I used to take my children to school (all grown up now). The slight chill in the air on a night when you just want to curl up with a blanket and a good book.
I have a shawl and a shirt in luster sport, and it is probably one of my favorite yarns! It has such a wonderful feel and weight, and the color sets are gorgeous! It’s very nice to knit with and it feels warm and soft against the skin!

I am a 62 year old new crocheter. This looks like I could easily do this. I like fall because of all the bonfires and the trees changing colors. Love to go for drives through country roads to see all the colors of fall.

I have been travelling in a travel-trailer around the USA for the past 3 years. In doing so, we have not seen the change of colors in fall since 2019. The subtle texturing enhances rather than dominates the piece, without interfering with the color flow. And the Red/Grey set is truly elegant. I'm one of those folks who just doesn't really notice the seasons much, other than the days getting longer (YAY!) or shorter (BOO!). Here in SF we don't get the dramatic leaf colorations. And now that the world has shrunk, there's less of a sense of "seasonal foods", with many being available year round wherever you are.

My favorite things about fall is the cooling of the weather, which means getting to wear light shawls, moving into the fall and winter gardening phase, and drinking warm, fresh apple cider in the evenings while sitting on the porch swing. Oops, I skipped the part where a monsters urge to just knit something made me finally go out and purchase some circular needles somewhere in the size range of I with a 29 inch string and I've been knitting my fool fingers to death, first practicing getting the mechanics and then balance of tension and slack.
I used to be a hairdresser and believe me I know how to use all of my fingers and I told you that one time and that you made me believe that I could do it , and you encourage me so sweetly and heartwarmingly ~ I just hadn't dug in to do it yet and I think that was because of the long needles that I had. Since learning Tunisian too, I think I could probably knit with long needles, now, but didn't think that until just this moment.
