If that pan is irritating you by spinning on the ring, there is an easy fix, probably worthwhile since the pan is taking more heat at a fairly small point of contact. If you turn the pan over, rest it on a solid surface protecting the base from direct contact with a suitable piece of wood, strike it centrally with a medium hammer. One blow only, and offer up the pan to a flat surface to check. If it still spins, repeat the process gently until the pan stops rocking on a flat surface. Good to go.
@@jeannitha You're entirely welcome, but a stable pan is safer, isn't it ? As a chef myself, I have a further suggestion for you if you'll entertain it. Try the professional chefs grip on your kitchen knives. Pinch the base of the blade immediately next to the handle between your thumb and forefinger, and fold your fingers around the handle. This will probably seem a little odd at first, but should quickly become comfortable and automatic and this grip essentially prevents the knife from twisting in your hand. I hope it works for you !
