- This one is kinda tight. Not much room for waiting for torches and spears. Thankfully, it's an easier level than Generator Room, so just getting through isn't that tough. Using masks on the torches saves some valuable time.

Platinum relics: nightmare of my childhood
This one required several complete time trials to get. Not sure how many it took me. But I managed to get it on what I believe was my seventh complete time trial last night. And I couldn't have done it without using this upload as a reference. In order to get the Platinum Relic, I needed to know when and when not to sacrifice my Aku Aku masks. I ended up sacrificing my Aku Aku masks to the flaming torches at 0:47 and 1:30 like you did.
Though I had to pause at the 1:30 one. Because I lost all momentum, and if I'd jumped immediately after losing the Aku Aku mask, I wouldn't have jumped far enough to make it on to the platform. The platforms at 1:16 can be rather annoying. Especially as they are further apart than they appear. Meaning that I had to jump further than I estimated. My time was 1:35:72, 54 milliseconds under the Platinum Relic time.
Leaving on a short trip to the mountains, so the last two will have to wait until tomorrow night. Crash 2 will start some time next week.

1SaBy Nah, he's taking The High Road. Just hope it doesn't turn into a Slippery Climb or a Stormy Ascent.

All I hope is that Garland hasn't pulled a Yoshito Usui. (Some context: Yoshito Usui was the author of the manga series Crayon Shin-chan. He died after falling from a mountain.) Let's hope we hear from Garland anytime soon!
I hate the crushers more than the spears and torches xD Nice run :D
I usually save the masks for the last round of crushers, just in case (I only go for the gold relic anyway)

00:49 acoording to my tests this is the only fire that allows you to instantly jump on top of it without cutting your speed.
Garland any idea how people get these World Record times? Are there exploits in the game they are using to finish so quick?
I used o be in the top 5. Using the mask on the two fire pillars is essential. You need some RNG for the crushing walls. Also, when you jump down near the end, hit the time box while in the air.
Lots of skills, practice and patience. I lack the latter, which is why I'm not going to get any.
