You've done a remarkable and conscientious job sharing your knowledge and insight (and I've been a teacher for decades so I know a good one when I see one). I came upon your channel two or so years ago when I was trying to decide which DAW I should use, and your clear and sincere style helped me choose Logic and has helped me grow with it.

I just discovered your channel. I’m a bit of a serial monogamist…I’ll use Cubase for several months then switch to Studio One for a year then drift back into Logic for awhile then back to Studio One, etc. Over the last few years I’ve settled primarily on Studio One for paying project work and Bitwig for more creative, personal projects.
WLPR has reminded me of the many, many great features - or more specifically the fantastic implementation of great features - in Logic. Thank you for that. Sincerely mean it. Cheers and looking forward to more.

Thanks, Chris. Loved the tour. We just moved into a new space. 100% untreated at this point. We also have the Output desk (LOVE IT!) and run Sonarworks. At this point, we have not had time to "re-tune" the new space. At this point, we don't even have all of our gear hooked up. We are off to check out the links you mentioned to learn more about your monitors and the panels you purchased.

Congrats on 5 years Chris! I feel that the lesson to be learned from this tour is that having great ears, and paying ALOT of attention to acoustic treatment is far more important than how many mics, vintage mic pres and compressors that you have! P.S. Dig the ART PRO VLA for the meters only! lol

I’m a recent follower but I like your content a lot and I’m also a Logic lover after trying many other DAWs
My takeaways are: I’m gonna start saving for an Apogee interface, I’ve been interested in getting one for many years and now you’ve kind of pushed me over the edge. Also going to try ARC because I’m not very happy with Sonarworks. It crashes a lot on my M1 mini and has other things I don’t really like.
First of all, thank you for all you do! Love what you’ve done with the space and it’s inspiring! So simple and efficient. Have you tried a Logitech mx master 3? It has really saved my hands
I bought the same Output desk for my son. It's a great desk.
Great video. Love your channel. I personally had bad experiences with Apogee though. I had the Duet v1 and it always glitched. No help from Apogee. Then I got the Apogee Mic. Great, but after 6 months in the box (took a hiatus), I took it out and it was dead. Just my experience. BTW, are you going to cover Logic Pro for iPad? Keep it up!
I really appreciate this type of content. I am a Logic Pro user and to have a channel dedicated to the DAW is great! I was wondering if you could do more videos on the Apogee Symphony MK2. I like to record drum machines and synths. With the sperate outs of the Rytm MK2 that's 10 channels of inputs needed. Add in a few stereo synths and it quickly gets to 16 channels. I am curious to know if the Symphony is the right solution for that kind of setup. I mostly see it in professional studios connected to a console, but I wouldn't be using it with a console. Maybe one day...

very interesting !! if you got rid of the ADS speakers, what did you replace the sub with? i love apogee stuff too. i use the element 46 and still have a firewire ensemble that doesn't get any use. too bad! enjoy your videos. thanks,

You should look at getting a big 4K tv to use as your monitor , like Jeff Gibbons. 4K TV’s are so cheap these days and it gives you tons of room for plugins

Recording sign IS awesome. I want one. No other DAW worth using? That's probably not correct. FD: Apart from Logic the only other DAW I've used was Garageband many years ago. But surely, some of the other DAWS are ok?
Do you not get some seriously negative effects by having your monitor in front of the speakers? I always got terrible combbb filtering among other issues when my monitor was in front or even parallel with the studio monitors.

Somehow that Etsy shop doesn't exist anymore. I don't get it, since your video was posted just a few days ago and presumably you checked the link. That sucks because the other recording lights on Etsy aren't nearly as cool.

Hi Damaris, that's a *great* point. I use the clean preamp on the Symphony Desktop when recording my voice for videos with the SM7B. And I use the AP-66 (Neve 1066 emulation) on the Symphony Desktop with a Drive at 40 when tracking with the Aston Spirit.

Do you hear a difference in DAC quality between the Symphony desktop and MK2? I’m very curious. I’m looking to upgrade from Duet 2

Hello.
I see you have MTM monitors - a new series. But they are in your Horizontal position. I asked the manufacturer this question and they answered that it is not recommended to place these MTM monitors Horizontally. They should be Vertical. Personally, I was very upset when I learned this information .But I see you and a few other people have MTM in Horizontal setup. Have you compared the sound of MTM in Vertical VS Horizontal setup? Because the IK support indicates that the waves are scattered differently - relative to the Horizontal setting. So we will hear Wrong sound and get phase errors and frequency problems.. What can you tell us about your Experience? Have you compared Horizontally to Vertical installation? What about the sound - what do you get? Thank you. And congratulations on your gorgeous studio.
