People like to tell you that you need to 'get out' and 'have fun' and they don't realize that you have more fun when you're just at home. So that's all that is. Some of these comments are so ridiculous. Please don't tell her how she should feel, what her life is like, etc. when you are NOT HER. You have no idea what goes on in her life or how she feels and I don't know what made you think you have the right to go ahead and assume that she has the world's easiest life and basically scold her for thinking/feeling a way that you don't even know she feels. If it offends you so much that she doesn't upload often or you think she's a bad youtuber then maybe you should take a step back into reality and realize that if you're getting genuinely angry over someone else's life then you need a change of mindset. Imagine posting a video and the feedback is nothing but people insulting things they don't even know about, it would probably take quite the toll on you, yeah? Don't dish out what you can't take. Putting out negativity into the world will only attract negativity, so have fun continuing living that way...

You just rambled along. I LOVED IT!!! your so down to earth. One thing you worry about that if ANYONE knew u or watched you for the past year and a half or more is you are never going to mean to offend anyone. You love your job but there are definitely some ups and downs. No one can blame you for not loving 100% everything about this job. Yes you are blessed. Yes the parties and events are part of the job... Some maybe even places or things some people would kill for but that doesn't mean your any less greatfull when sometimes it gets tiring. I find that you're really relatable in this video (at least to me) because it seems that while every other girl here is all about making youtube her life/career, and everything-in-between, its refreshing to see someone who still has her own life, her own thoughts, and isn't afraid to miss an event or so if you don't wanna go because it shows you haven't lost your perspective. To be completely honest I absolutely loved this video. The fact that you can sit on camera and talk about how you feel and not pretend to be someone you're not, you can openly admit that you have real life drama, you're not one of those RUclipsrs that act completely perfect in every video and act like nothing goes wrong in life and I respect that. It's like Zoella said in a video a month or so ago when she was upset and said look this is behind the scenes my life isn't always perfect and we can't expect that from you. I personally don't see why you should feel the need to commit to uploading more than once a week, I understand that you have your life outside of RUclips and if you're not in the mood to sit and video then who are people to even question it. I can't even imagine what it must be like to have to try and please 2million+ people all of the time, it must be so overwhelming.

I use waterproof mascara because it's the only way my lashes stay nice and curled. I've never had an issue taking it off with straight coconut oil, but from what I've heard, that doesn't work for everyone. Thanks for being so honest and candid in your videos; good times or bad you're always very genuine and it's refreshing. :]

I think your videos are very good quality and I love seeing a new video of yours pop up in my subs and I totally understand not wanting to film sometimes. With that said, I do agree with those who are saying that this is your job and most jobs require you to put a little more effort in than what would result in one video a week. I respect what you're doing and love your videos I just feel like your viewers are the reason you get to have the luxury of such an amazing job and you kind of have to meet us half way.

As for waterproof mascara, I have ZERO natural curl in my lashes. I'm chinese. Most Asians don't have curl in their lashes. When you wear non wp mascara over curled lashes the curls disappear. For me, there's sooo no point in using mascara without curling ur lashes. You can't see squat. The wax in wp formulas keep the curl. I hate wp formulas as some are quite hard to get off but it's better than non existent lashes!!! X
I am in the most repetitive, draining last semester of my nursing degree in Melbourne and the main thing getting me through our endless placement is watching and following your makeup tutorials.... It makes me feel like i'm taking a bit more care of myself and looking presentable for those shifts gives me so much more confidence. Thank you xoxo

Wow some people are so darn rude towards Lauren. Everyone has their struggles and they should be able to vent a little, bottling up all those negative thoughts and emotions turns you into a bitter person, and also she is trying her best to make videos fot her viewers even though she is obviously upset. And has it occured to some people that we only see a small portion into "her world" and she obviously is holding back on certain information because to be quite frank, it is her personal matter that she has chosen not to reveal. Some people are so disrespectful to others. You don't necessarily need to feel sympathetic for her, you just need to know she is stress, no need to nit pick at everything she says and does. Yes I understand she has too many expansive things but she has worked hard for it and deserves to spend her money on what makes her happy and I believe they are good investments! RAANNTTT OVVAAAA
I completely can relate to Lauren when she talked about having so many products that it's hard to choose and end up picking something that you use often and that's comfortable. It can definitely be overwhelming to have too much. I know the feeling and that is why I do not buy makeup anymore (except for essentials). I have learned to enjoy/love/use the collection that I already have.

I use water proof mascara. If I don't use the water proof, the mascara ends up below my eyes making me look like a raccoon. So ONLY water proof for me.
I wear waterproof mascara for the following reasons: 1) I have straight eyelashes and it holds the curl. 2) you never know when you're going to get stuck in the rain/snow, go hot tubing, have shower sex, cry, etc. 3) I workout hard at the end of the day and I'm not one to take off my makeup before I workout. 4) I take my eye makeup off in the shower with cream, waterproof makeup remover using just my fingers, and as long as you're patient and gentle, you won't lose any eyelashes. Note: I'm not saying this in a defensive, argument-provoking tone at all. I just wanted to share some reasons why someone would choose waterproof over non. I'll also say though, Wayne Goss shared recently that if you have straight eyelashes, you can curl them and then use a super thin coat of waterproof and then finish with non so that the curl will hold. I've been trying it out lately and I do love it for the easier removal process! Anyway, love the video, Lauren; keeping it real is always a good idea and that's why we love you!
To me, it genuinely sounds like you're outgrowing the scene - the parties, the events, presenting only a certain aspect of yourself at all times. You're obviously very grateful and talented at what you do, but having watched your videos for a long time I'm getting the impression that you're quite a solitary person at heart. I am too. I don't think that's anything to apologise for, but I wouldn't be surprised if you find that you outgrow RUclips also and start to focus either on journalism, presenting, or management. That is my friendly prediction, but we love you for you x

Reading some of the comments here really makes me wonder why some people bother to watch. She is beautiful, honest and hard working. So what if she isn't always upbeat, we all have down days. Try to be kind to her the same way that you would expect others to be kind to you. This is a get ready with me video which is basically her inviting us into her home like a friend while she gets ready for the day. Lauren, keep up the great videos, I love you being real.
The strike in the Range Rover factory was on the news when it happened and it's online too- they walked out because their pay was inadequate and they earn significantly less than workers for Jaguar so three union groups had a 24 hour strike. Pretty sad when big companies that are making heaps of $$$ refuse to pay an appropriate amount to their workers.
After reading all these comments I just feel so bad for Lauren. If you really listen to her talk, you'd realize that she feels guilty for not posting videos, but she wants to do what makes her happy as well as her viewers. It's a difficult job being in front of the camera and trying to decide what you want to do and where you want to go with your life when everyone is bound to judge you. But she is trying her best to do what she can for her viewers and the fact that people are complaining that she's "taking all of this for granted" and she "didn't plan this video well enough to know what to do with her eye makeup"... You people just need to get over yourselves and enjoy watching her videos; if enjoying the videos is not your intention, stop watching the videos/commenting your rude opinions because you're clearly clueless if you can't tell she feels bad enough already.

have you tried the Cover Girl Clump Crusher mascara? it's really great, I use it every day and builds really nicely to make your lashes look nice and separated! :)

Everyone has struggles in there life. I struggle everyday worrying if I have enough to cover my bills and pay for my daughter's college education. I watch your videos and other makeup gurus videos as an outlet to escape my reality. I'm sure others watch your videos for the same reason. Please keep this in mind when you go to film your next video.😉

I never really feel the need to comment on videos, but I do love reading everyone else's 😄 however, people alway seem to feel the need to say negative things or pick people out about absolutely anything. I don't know, does it make them feel good about you that your bringing someone down? If I think a videos rubbish I'll happily move onto another one. I wouldn't bring someone down for the sake of it. Lauren's a "youtuber" it's not an every day job, hell if I had the choice of choosing when I want time off work.... Of course I would! And so would nearly everyone else on here. Like someone already said, she's not an engineer or doctor so don't compare her to them. It's a completely different playing field. And if she was uploading videos whilst in a bad mood, people would only hate on her more... What is Lauren's job however, is to carry on doing what she is doing inspiring everyone, she's clearly done alright so far, and if she needs to take time off (like all of us do once in a while) so be it. It upsets me when people think just because someone is popular on a site like RUclips, or a famous celebrity, they're suddenly happy all the time and everything is perfect, almost as if these people are not human. But fans and media seem to forget the fact that, obviously, these people are human too, they go through the same emotions as anyone else. Lauren, I had a rough week as well. I started high school with severe anxiety each night, and depression creeping it's way into my life. But just watching youtubers like you, lift my spirit. Smh she gave people what they wanted. People have been swarming her with questions about what's going on etc etc so she gave a life update and talked about what people are constantly asking. You are a prime example of not being able to please everyone. I like this video, it shows vulnerability and realness, instead of constantly trying to portray herself as somebody who doesn't also have bad days.

I find that you're really relatable in this video (at least to me) because it seems that while every other girl here is all about making youtube her life/career, and everything-in-between, its refreshing to see someone who still has her own life, her own thoughts, and isn't afraid to miss an event or so if you don't wanna go because it shows you haven't lost your perspective. To be completely honest I absolutely loved this video. The fact that you can sit on camera and talk about how you feel and not pretend to be someone you're not, you can openly admit that you have real life drama, you're not one of those RUclipsrs that act completely perfect in every video and act like nothing goes wrong in life and I respect that. It's like Zoella said in a video a month or so ago when she was upset and said look this is behind the scenes my life isn't always perfect and we can't expect that from you. I personally don't see why you should feel the need to commit to uploading more than once a week, I understand that you have your life outside of RUclips and if you're not in the mood to sit and video then who are people to even question it. I can't even imagine what it must be like to have to try and please 2million+ people all of the time, it must be so overwhelming.

I use waterproof mascara because it's the only way my lashes stay nice and curled. I've never had an issue taking it off with straight coconut oil, but from what I've heard, that doesn't work for everyone. Thanks for being so honest and candid in your videos; good times or bad you're always very genuine and it's refreshing. :]

I think your videos are very good quality and I love seeing a new video of yours pop up in my subs and I totally understand not wanting to film sometimes. With that said, I do agree with those who are saying that this is your job and most jobs require you to put a little more effort in than what would result in one video a week. I respect what you're doing and love your videos I just feel like your viewers are the reason you get to have the luxury of such an amazing job and you kind of have to meet us half way.

I've been going through a bit of a rough patch. School, work, family etc. It's really nice to see a more "vulnerable" side of a guru. Life is not all smiles and sunshine. As for waterproof mascara, I have ZERO natural curl in my lashes. I'm chinese. Most Asians don't have curl in their lashes. When you wear non wp mascara over curled lashes the curls disappear. For me, there's sooo no point in using mascara without curling ur lashes. You can't see squat. The wax in wp formulas keep the curl. I hate wp formulas as some are quite hard to get off but it's better than non existent lashes!!! X
I am in the most repetitive, draining last semester of my nursing degree in Melbourne and the main thing getting me through our endless placement is watching and following your makeup tutorials.... It makes me feel like i'm taking a bit more care of myself and looking presentable for those shifts gives me so much more confidence. Thank you xoxo

Wow some people are so darn rude towards Lauren. Everyone has their struggles and they should be able to vent a little, bottling up all those negative thoughts and emotions turns you into a bitter person, and also she is trying her best to make videos fot her viewers even though she is obviously upset. And has it occured to some people that we only see a small portion into "her world" and she obviously is holding back on certain information because to be quite frank, it is her personal matter that she has chosen not to reveal.
Some people are so disrespectful to others. You don't necessarily need to feel sympathetic for her, you just need to know she is stress, no need to nit pick at everything she says and does.

I completely can relate to Lauren when she talked about having so many products that it's hard to choose and end up picking something that you use often and that's comfortable. It can definitely be overwhelming to have too much. I know the feeling and that is why I do not buy makeup anymore (except for essentials). I have learned to enjoy/love/use the collection that I already have.

I love that you can be real with us, and whatever it is that brings you down you still manage to push through it and be positive:) love the look and ily
I use water proof mascara. If I don't use the water proof, the mascara ends up below my eyes making me look like a raccoon. So ONLY water proof for me.
I wear waterproof mascara for the following reasons:
1) I have straight eyelashes and it holds the curl.
2) you never know when you're going to get stuck in the rain/snow, go hot tubing, have shower sex, cry, etc.
3) I workout hard at the end of the day and I'm not one to take off my makeup before I workout.
4) I take my eye makeup off in the shower with cream, waterproof makeup remover using just my fingers, and as long as you're patient and gentle, you won't lose any eyelashes.
Note: I'm not saying this in a defensive, argument-provoking tone at all. I just wanted to share some reasons why someone would choose waterproof over non.
I'll also say though, Wayne Goss shared recently that if you have straight eyelashes, you can curl them and then use a super thin coat of waterproof and then finish with non so that the curl will hold. I've been trying it out lately and I do love it for the easier removal process!
Anyway, love the video, Lauren; keeping it real is always a good idea and that's why we love you!
To me, it genuinely sounds like you're outgrowing the scene - the parties, the events, presenting only a certain aspect of yourself at all times. You're obviously very grateful and talented at what you do, but having watched your videos for a long time I'm getting the impression that you're quite a solitary person at heart. I am too. I don't think that's anything to apologise for, but I wouldn't be surprised if you find that you outgrow RUclips also and start to focus either on journalism, presenting, or management. That is my friendly prediction, but we love you for you x

Tip for removing anything waterproof (especially mascara): use a make-up wipe with a little baby oil.
You can also use olive oil:)

The strike in the Range Rover factory was on the news when it happened and it's online too- they walked out because their pay was inadequate and they earn significantly less than workers for Jaguar so three union groups had a 24 hour strike. Pretty sad when big companies that are making heaps of $$$ refuse to pay an appropriate amount to their workers.

After reading all these comments I just feel so bad for Lauren. If you really listen to her talk, you'd realize that she feels guilty for not posting videos, but she wants to do what makes her happy as well as her viewers. It's a difficult job being in front of the camera and trying to decide what you want to do and where you want to go with your life when everyone is bound to judge you. But she is trying her best to do what she can for her viewers and the fact that people are complaining that she's "taking all of this for granted" and she "didn't plan this video well enough to know what to do with her eye makeup"... You people just need to get over yourselves and enjoy watching her videos; if enjoying the videos is not your intention, stop watching the videos/commenting your rude opinions because you're clearly clueless if you can't tell she feels bad enough already.

I honestly just us hand soap to wash mine. I'm sure that's not the right way but my brushes are still nice and they are a couple years old.

Everyone has struggles in there life. I struggle everyday worrying if I have enough to cover my bills and pay for my daughter's college education. I watch your videos and other makeup gurus videos as an outlet to escape my reality. I'm sure others watch your videos for the same reason. Please keep this in mind when you go to film your next video.😉

i don't understand how you can't remove your waterproof mascara. I have a cheap oil based makeup removver and it does it's job immediately !
You can also use olive oil. That's extremely healthy for your lashes :) that works like a charm for me
Absolutely agree with you. You just have to have a special remover for the waterproof mascara so everything will be great and it's so simple to remove it
gigi frey I use that! It works sooo well, I advise all my girlfriends and musical friends to use it instead of attacking their eyes with chemicals on wipes all the time

I never really feel the need to comment on videos, but I do love reading everyone else's 😄 however, people alway seem to feel the need to say negative things or pick people out about absolutely anything. I don't know, does it make them feel good about you that your bringing someone down? If I think a videos rubbish I'll happily move onto another one. I wouldn't bring someone down for the sake of it. Lauren's a "youtuber" it's not an every day job, hell if I had the choice of choosing when I want time off work.... Of course I would! And so would nearly everyone else on here. Like someone already said, she's not an engineer or doctor so don't compare her to them. It's a completely different playing field. And if she was uploading videos whilst in a bad mood, people would only hate on her more... What is Lauren's job however, is to carry on doing what she is doing inspiring everyone, she's clearly done alright so far, and if she needs to take time off (like all of us do once in a while) so be it. It upsets me when people think just because someone is popular on a site like RUclips, or a famous celebrity, they're suddenly happy all the time and everything is perfect, almost as if these people are not human. But fans and media seem to forget the fact that, obviously, these people are human too, they go through the same emotions as anyone else. Lauren, I had a rough week as well. I started high school with severe anxiety each night, and depression creeping it's way into my life. But just watching youtubers like you, lift my spirit. So thank you, I just hope your fans can do the same for you :)

Smh she gave people what they wanted. People have been swarming her with questions about what's going on etc etc so she gave a life update and talked about what people are constantly asking. You are a prime example of not being able to please everyone. I like this video, it shows vulnerability and realness, instead of constantly trying to portray herself as somebody who doesn't also have bad days.
hey Lauren, i am exactly the same as you! Im always like 'omg wish i was going out tonight, or i want to go to that fashion event' but then i always love being home alone chilling and watching tv! I just think its a age thing, as you get older you just want closer friends and to relax in life instead of having a huge social life :) Don't stress!
